Having read the comments I guess I shouldn't be surprised and I'll just leave it at that.
I'm extremely disappointed with takealot. I ordered an item and when delivery didn't come, I called them to confirm and was advised that my delivery is damaged and they will order a new one but that never happened, instead they sent me the damage patched up with glue, and mind you this is dogs food and now I can't confirm if the content is as it appears on the package. It's unfortunate that I wasn't available for collection otherwise I would have sent it back.

Worst service ever. I recently purchase ceiling boards, cornice and some few other items but was denied a refund for the left over goods which were in a perfect condition. I work from Monday till Saturday and don't have the time to go there and request for a refund myself so I send my driver of who I had to pay twice on two separate occasion trying to get my refund but the so called owner declined and said we had to bring the card we used to purchase, even though he was given a slip. I also called the shop asking about their return policy and no one mention anything about having to bring a card to return goods. I even offered to send the owner a copy of my ID, card number and a bank statement as proof but that fell on death ears. I've dealt with a lot of hardware and had never experience this type of incompetence. Lesson learnt
Fair warning to the reader. UOKITEL STORE now trading as SIMWOOD an online cellular phone retailer store is owned by a thief. I purchased a phone with them last year December the 15th which cost R17499.90 using Payfast but they haven't delivered to this day. I tried to get a refund through Payfast since they were not taking my calls and when Payfast intervened,they called me the same day apologizing and advised me that I will be receiving my order in one weeks time, and mind you, this is the third week and they haven't gotten back to me. Payfast was able to freeze their account but advise me that wont be able to get my refund back because they were insufficient funds on their account. So I figured that the promises they made were just a delaying tactic to get all their funds out of that account and transfer it wherever. I know there is a probability of me not getting my money back but I felt it was my duty as a law abiding citizen to report this before someone else falls victim. I've also reported them to Customer Goods Ombudsman and their are busy with their own investigation they also advise that their processes take long so I'm not holding my breath.
WARNING DO NOT, AND IF YOU DO YOU REGRET IT. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS INSTITUTION. I ORDERED A PHONE FROM THEM LAST YEAR AND WAS ADVISED THAT IT WILL TAKE A PROXIMATLY 7 BUT IT'S OVER A MONTH WITHOUT A PHONE. IVE BEEN PATIENT AND TAKING THEIR EXCUSES BUT I HAVE HAD IT. ADVISE TO ONLINE SHOPPERS, DO NOT BUY FROM ONLINE RETAILERS WITHOUT ANY REVIEWS OR TRACK RECORD.
