I had a very disappointing experience with Pickfords during my move from Johannesburg to Cape Town. A box containing important personal items was misplaced during the move, and since then I have been taken from pillar to post with little to no meaningful assistance or accountability. Communication has been poor, follow-ups have gone unanswered, and there has been no clear ownership of the issue. For a company that positions itself as a professional removal service, the lack of care, transparency, and customer support has been extremely frustrating. Moving is already a stressful process, and this experience added unnecessary anxiety and inconvenience. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Pickfords to anyone looking for a reliable or customer-focused removal company.
I have had several unpleasant experiences at Father Coffee in Kramerville, but today was the final straw. Chad and the manager were not only unprofessional and rude in their approach to me and my friend, but the manager also followed us outside and threatened us with physical violence. The incident occurred after we were asked to move seats after two hours, which I now understand is their policy. However, what was unacceptable was the manner in which it was handled—the sheer rudeness and lack of professionalism, particularly in a hospitality setting. I will never return to this establishment, and I believe others should be aware of this experience. No customer should be treated this way.
Good day I am not one to take to HelloPeter to write a review. I am however unsatisfied with the service I recently experienced at Olives & Plates- Hyde Park this past Friday. First it was the lipstick stain on my clearly unwashed cup. I unfortunately noticed this a few sips in and notified the manager- the waiter was nonchalant and unhelpful from the get go. I follow a plant based diet and notified the waiter about this at the top of the conversation. A few bites into my meal, I noticed melted cheese at the bottom of my plate. I notified the manager again, watched him go ask the chef who happened to be in plain sight why there was cheese on the plate. The chef informed the manager that it was cauliflower. It was not. This was the second incident. Not only were the other waiters laughing and clearly unbothered, the overall service was quite underwhelming- lacklustre on the part of the waiter and the individuals who should have made the space and experience comfortable and enjoyable. I will not be spending another dime at this establishment. Cleanliness, respect and my health are not worth compromising for a subpar experience. Thank you.
If you are looking for an efficient ISP, please kindly steer away from using VOX Telecoms/ Vumatel. I have been without wifi for over a week with little to no assistance from VOX Telecoms and Vumatel. I have been taken from pillar to post and none of the agents that I have spoken to have been able to assist, despite my paying diligently for my subscription every month. I have spent more money in the past week buying data (remote working) than I do paying for my monthly fees. Please do yourselves a favour and utilise another ISP.
I am so disappointed with this network provider. I have been struggling with my Wifi for over 2 weeks. An engineer was sent out to fix the problem and the problem still persists. The communication from the company is poor and I have had to spend more than double my monthly fee resorting to other means of internet connection, despite my timeous monthly payments. I would not recommend this network provider to anyone looking to install fiber to their home.
I had a very humiliating experience at Bidvest Bank in Sandton city. The cashier/banker, Tumi, that was assisting me was nonchalant, rude and constantly making jokes with her colleague Mishka about myself and other clients, all while assisting me. I had mistakenly thought that I needed Euros for my trip to London. Instead of correcting me with respect, her and her friend Mishka ridiculed me. More than that, the systems were slow and I waited patiently for about 20 minutes without Tumi communicating much to me. I have never experienced such bad service, especially from a big corporation like Bidvest Bank. I expected much more respect in my encounter with Tumi and her colleague Mishka.
