Duracell car battery is off the poorest quality. They done have the strong claim that they last longer than any other brand. A total failure with their huge claim that drives their business. I have put 2 extremely expensive ones in just over 6years and each one perished after exactly 32 months, with their 30 month warranty. Other batteries have a 24 months warranty but last up to 5yeara or more. Duracell in my opinion should discontinue with car batteries as they will damage their flagship claims that they last longer than any other competitors. I have contacted their Customer Care via email and was told to go to Tiger Wheel and sort it out, which I have done before I contacted them. Closed the query. I will greatly appreciate if they can investigate the query and confirm that their batteries have a 30 month exact lifespan so the public can decide if paying that premium price is worth it. My vehicle registration is HN 75 LY GP.
I have 2 experiences with King Price Insurance. They are just pathetic, deceiving and inefficient. They just help a few people that then write excellent reviews and I got caught up for taking Insurance with them. My car is at the dealership for 7 days now. Claim was made and accepted and rejected after more than 72hours. KING Price was ducking dodging and letting claim approval go from one agent to another. Have paid years of subscription on their comprehensive cover and have been rejected for most of the claims. Not sure what they pay for. Nevertheless don't get caught by their excellent reviews by people, I think they pay to do, as its ****. They don't pay claims without scrutinizing it not to pay. Just ********* business in my opinion.I think the Public should think careful before taking any insurances from them
Extremely poor services for card delivery. Cannot support or keep the promises of Absa card division. Real confusion by their consultants. Consultants at CCD, namely Tabange and Mbali never kept to their promises. No feedback on return calls as promised. Still awaiting card and not sure if it will be delivered on the 4th date promised. My advice to the public, don't let your bank use CCD couriers to deliver your bank cards, rather collect it at a branch or get them to use another reliable courier service providers. You can wait more than 10 working days. I had to cancel my trip to Durban over this long weekend that has frustrated me.
I have not been refunded after a written promise was made that it will definitely reflect in my account the next day. Promises for almost 2 months have been made and have fell astray by the many consultants. Not sure about the professionalism and competence of Discovery Insure staff but it is definitely questionable. Do you have to be a strong liar to be recruited by Discovery?
Discovery Insure does not want to refund my premium after cancellation of my policy. The promise that it will be put into my bank account by a consultant GuGu has not materialized. It’s now 14 days. No response to the several repeated emails sent. Not an insurance company that they splash about to be on TV and radio. They have rejected my claims for food Spoilage. Said that they don’t have such a cover. They are not interested in resolving your claims. When it comes to claims they scatter the situation to all of their mini departments to confuse you. You end up dealing with many consultants each promising to resolve your claims but it just a lies. It’s almost two months and Discovery fake promises continues until I surrender and let them keep my refund. That seem to be their motto from my experience thus far. They will definitely contact me now by not with my email reply from them.
I have a comprehensive cover, playing a huge premium. Affinity did not honor my chronic claim and I had to pay cash. I have requested a refund but they refuse to do so. They claim that they payed the Pharmacy and the Pharmacy Claim they didn’t. I was told by them, due to the POPI act, they cannot do anything to refund R465.00 . They have not contacted me since.
Confusion on refund. Not sure if Affinity or Estcourt Pharmacy is pocketing it, and both are saying they reversed it and no one is taking the responsibility to make the refund. Not sure whom to blame or who has the benefit of the money. However, Affinity must make the refund immediately as they are the service provider. This is very disappointing and hopefully, Affinity refund my money in the next 24 hours.
Discovery are now becoming a cheating company. I have canceled my insurance on 5/1/2023 and they are still taking my debit orders for the last 2 months. I have made a claim knowing that my policy was still active as they took my subscriptions for loss of fridge items and they rejected it as they claim that they don’t cover that in their policies at all for no clients. I was promised after several communications that my subscriptions will be refunded this month and adjusted and that did not happen. I am now fed up of calling them and hearing promises that has not materialized for the past 2-3 months. I have be penalized by my bank for some of my debit that didn’t go through for last 2 months as they have drew the money. It’s almost 6 transactions amounting to R 900.00 . They will never call you back or follow up on your queries and play dumb until you call them. Make the promises that never happens. They now owe me a refund of almost R 6000.00 and I think they will pocket it. No ethics of their business principles they claim on social media. Just a greedy company ripping the public off. Think twice before you do any business with them or just move your insurance to other companies as they are no where near competitive and will not Claims before trying to make you understand why it’s rejected and enforce access charges even if you took it with zero access. Don’t be fooled by them, they are genuine cheats from my experience with them in the last 2 months of contact with them. I am highly frustrated with them and the lies and fraud promises they make.
Extremely disappointed with their service. When you claim, it’s not the same as they advertise on social media to sell their products. Still waiting on a Food Spoilage Claim that they have gone silent on. The Claim Attendant has requested all information and documents required. All in place but it seems he has disappeared.
As a concerned citizen, I will like to make the public aware of anyone buying a brand new or demo model Volkswagen from VW or VW Mastercars. I have purchased a demo 2018 VW Polo Tsi Comfortline from Barons Mastercars Woodmead in 2019. The tyres looked brand new. Recently I had a puncture and got it plugged and fixed. The attendant, told me that I must replace all my tyres as they have expired in 2012 after checking the tyre pressure. I checked the tyres and confirmed that I it was manufactured in 2007 and expired in 2012. I contacted the manager , Mr Brian at Mastercars and he promised to investigate the situation and eventually asked me to contact VWSA. Ms Lushaan from VWSA was handling the enquiry and then handed the enquiry back to Mr Brian of Mastercars. His Technical Manager from Barons, Mr Kruger than explained its the Drivers responsibility as per legislation to check the safety of tyres as he could not explain, how a 2012 expired tyre was put on a brand new Polo 2018 model. He then handed the enquiry back to VWSA. My enquiry to them was a simple request if it was safe to continue to use the expired tyres. VWSA have not as yet, almost 2 months now, have given me a reply. I am still driving with these tyres awaiting their reply. I don’t think they will respond as the Customer Care have been avoiding and prolonging my enquiry. My message to the public is that, please check the tyres if you buying a brand new VW from any VW or demo from any VW Mastercars as you maybe getting a totally expired tyre which will be compromising your and family safety. It maybe safer to buy another brand of car.
