I order some items online that were on special. When it came time for shipment, I was advised that they have in fact run out stock of the specific item (I needed 7 but they only had 2 left). Although I was disappointed at the situation, I cannot express enough how impressed I am with the service I received from one of the staff members, specifically Natachja De Weber. I first asked to wait for the new stock, then sent another email changing my mind, deciding on a refund of the 5 items and for them to send the 2 in stock. I then changed my mind again and asked for a full refund. Unfortunately, this meant Natachja had to run around to the dispatch and stop the shipment that was about to leave. Although I was completely messing her around, she continued to be incredibly professional, friendly and extremely apologetic, for something that was not really in her hands. I wish all South African companies I deal with had someone like Natachja, as she makes it an absolute breeze. I AM HIGHLY IMPRESSED and would recommend YuppiChef to all my friends, purely based on the service she has provided.
I ordered a tempered glass screen for my phone. It arrived, after taking 1 week for delivery and it turns out to be just a clear plastic sticker. I really feel like takealot *****ed me and sold me something that was incorrectly advertised. Highly frustrated,
I have never signed up for any newsletter or emails, yet for some reason, I get on average 3 - 5 newsletters a day spamming my email address. I have clicked unsubscribe on each of them for the last week, yet I am still receiving them. I have emailed their online support, but nothing has happened. It is really making me resent Makro
They sent a crew to assess our washing machine that kept tripping the power. They said the motor was damaged and would need to be replaced. After taking the machine away "fixing it" and charging us for a new motor, they bought the machine back. The machine is still causing the DB Board to trip. They are not answering their phones and we cannot get hold of them to come back and fix the machine properly like we paid for.
We rented a vehicle from the CPT Airport branch. We were involved in an accident 25 km from the airport which was not our fault an completely unavoidable. We had to follow up with EuropCar but heard nothing. Suddenly out of the blue we get an email demanding payment and given a time frame of 7 days. On the website the excess was stated as R 15 132, but when invoiced we now owe R 35 000.00! I have a whole lot of questions regarding the amount demanded, but no one is getting back to us. The service level at EuropCar is absolutely terrible and all they seem to care about is sending invoices and keeping quiet. I have been trying non-stop to get hold of someone who can assist, but I am pretty sure the next time I hear from them, is when the 7 days is up and they demand the payment.
