DONT PURCHASE FROM THESE GUYS!!! SCAM ALERT!!!🚫🚫🚫🚫 Paid these guys for a bed, to date they haven't delivered. Excuses about rain, wind, the sun, the moon and all sorts of things. I do not recommend them.
!!! RIDICULOUS SERVICE !!! NOT ADVISABLE TO WORK WITH !!! On July 10th, I applied for a loan with these guys. They approved it and sent me the agreement via email. A 3/4 days later I decided rather not to take the loan anymore. I called their call center, which said I must use live chat or email their customer care. No response has been received from them till today. As per law and what is clearly stated on their agreement (I quote); "8. Right to cancel in terms of the ECT 8.1. This is an electronic transaction and as such, the provisions of this Agreement are governed by the provisions of the ECT. 8.2. In terms of section 44 of the ECT, You are entitled to cancel this Agreement without cost or penalty on the later of the 7th (seventh) day following: 8.2.1. the date on which the Loan Agreement is accepted by You or 8.2.2. the date on which the Loan Amount is transferred into Your account, whichever is the later 8.3. If You cancel this Agreement in terms of clause 8.2 above, You will repay Us the Loan Amount. 8.4. In order to repay Us the Loan Amount, You hereby authorise Us to immediately initiate a one-time debit to the bank account You have specified in the Debit Order Authorisation in the amount of the Loan Amount advanced to You." (Unquote) Now in terms of section 44 of the ECT, I submitted my cancellation request daily via email. NO ONE has ever responded. I will be taking this further should they debit my account with their loan premiums as I sent instructions that I want to cancel well in advance and within the prescribed time.
If you were thinking of taking out a contract with CellC, don't do it. The pits!!! I just called their call centre, after a min long convo, the consultant says "No, I can't help you" and he hung. Don't sign up with this nonsense at Cell C. Baddest service of the entire decade!!! Cell C must just shut down completely. Their employees have a kak attitude.
I am tired of paying over priced rates on electricity and water. How do I have to load every 4th or 5th day? Last month in the middle of the month electricity got cut off and I was told it's due to the water that was billed late as there was a "problem" at Kings Crossing. Now it had to be my problem and I had to make arrangements for the amount. Now every day I get notifications of how much is left. Yesterday I got one stating that I had positive of R25 this morning suddenly its cut off. Not even when I lived in Sandton did I use that much power. No heater, no washing machine, no every day cooking a geyser that's only on for 2 hours a day but this ridiculous amount of electricity to pay. TRUTH IS, WE CAN'T KEEP COMPLAINING HERE AND WRITING REVIEWS BECAUSE THEY'LL RESPOND WITH DEFENDING THEMSELVES. So, I am doing a petition to have them removed from our complex, even other complexes that are complaining about them in Midrand. All our tenants will sign it and it will be handed into the body corporate to act on this urgently. I am even helping others at other complexes with circulating a petition amongst tenants and have these robbers removed. I'd rather have iSmart than Protea Metering. We can't just complain and do nothing. Let's mobilize the masses and be unified against Protea Metering. I want them out of Valencia and also Kings Crossing. We are tired of over priced water and electricity bills.
I have never received such a horrendous service in my life. I spoke to one of the Cell C reps a week and a half ago, made payments and was advised lines would be reconnected. Now everyone is ranting about a strike and legal department not being available but when payments were needed and made, everyone was available and they even acknowledged payment being allocated to my account. HOW CAN A WHOLE CORPORATE COMPANY NOT HAVE A CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR SUCH EVENTS? CELL C IS RIDICULOUS
