This company stole my money. I have paid R12,190 for a camera they were advertising online. A week later they (a chap named Erson) emailed me saying they did not have the camera in stock and were trying to locate one. Three weeks later I asked for a refund. I have heard nothing from them since. I don't understand why they are selling things they don't possess. I understand if they hadn't updated their website but their refusal to pay back my money is theft and unacceptable.
AMAZING! They organized for our car to be recovered from the top of a mountain. Efficient and polite service.
Nigel - the previous owner told us we needed a new (second-hand from Japan) engine. It was a LOT of money around R40,000. He told us we could get it reconditioned for a lot less but there would be no guarantees the engine would last. So we saved up and paid the R40,000 explicitly stating that we would rather put the money towards a new car IF he thought the engine wouldn't fix all the car problems. He re-assured us it would. Unfortunately the business got sold after this but we still had our receipt for our engine replacement. We have been in and out of the garage for 9 solid months. They (new owners not Nigel) put a new (second-hand) engine that didn't fix a single problem and created more. I took it back immediately surprised they had even let it out of their shop. The same thing happened again. We took it back (paying for more and more labour costs) as additional things kept going wrong (presumably because of the ***** engines they were using). They kept the car for over a month until I started hounding them (we don't have a second car). They gave it back and a few months later the engine has blown the head gasket. We took it back in. The lady in charge blamed us, telling us we'd let it over heat (we hadn't) We took it to another mechanic who, to our horror, told us the engine was our original one and they just reconditioned it and didn't bother asking us if we wanted that or adjusted the price accordingly. So at this stage we are around R70,000 out of pocket with NO CAR. Absolutely gutted and traumatized by the callous and dismissive way in which we were treated - especially when they've messed us around for about 10 months now! I accused her of *****ing from us and she rep**** that she told us they were going to recondition the old engine which was a blatant lie as we never would have agreed to that because we were told by Nigel NOT TO and we saved money for the more expensive option (because he told us exactly what would happen if we just got the old one reconditioned). An horrific experience.
There reaction unit has been beyond reproach. This complaint is solely for the admin and technical departments. I'm at my wits end trying to get hold of the right people for the jobs we need done by Blue (at last count we had no less that 6 problems with our security systems on our property). They CONSTANTLY refer you to people who are in the wrong department. I ring, explain the problems, they say 'this person is on a call/ in a meeting, they'll ring back.' 4hrs later, I ring again, they say 'what seems to be the problem' I explain again. They say 'We'll ring you back' 4hrs later, I ring again 'this person is on a call/ in a meeting, they'll ring back.' Someone from Blue rings me 'What appears to be the problem?' I explain... again. They say 'someone will ring you to set up an appointment for a technician. A techie arrives (4 days later). 'What appears to be the problem?' I explain. They say ' Oh we don't have the computer here that we need/ you've been sold the wrong beams (TWICE! and by BLUE), you'll have to buy new ones / we can't access this system / there's rain damage (on your EXTERNAL 2yr old beams) / we've fired the person who originally installed these / you need a sales person here.... and the excuses (and problems) go on and on and on. I've been waiting now for 4 MONTHS for ONE of these problems to be resolved. If it wasn't for their reaction team (who are all lovely and deserve a ****** good raise) I would have left Blue 6 months after I started with them!
I bought an expensive Kenwood mixer from the Hillcrest branch and it's never worked properly. The lid vibrates so much it's only a matter of time before I'll have to replace it (and the machine won't work without it). Hirsch's refused to refund me (even though it was well within the 3 month grace period) and the lady at the repairs counter Saroj, was deliberately obtuse and obstructive as she refused to see any problem with the video of the faulty machine I showed her (even though as soon as another worker in the department watched it, she instantly said there was a problem with the machine). They sent it back to Kenwood twice, first with the wrong instuctions on what to check. The second time it came back apparently Kenwood said that 'that is how their machines are'. Very shoddy! Stuck with a machine I'm too afraid to use in case I break it. The vibrating lid also makes it unbareably loud.
