22 September I bought some items on takealot, soon checking out, they showed me an ad saying suntam will give me R500 takealot voucher if I do a quote with them and they can't beat my current insurance. I put my details they gave me a call back, I asked the guy on the phone about the voucher he said yes they will give me if they can't beat my insurance, ee proceeded. He didn't beat my insurance he said he will send me an email with instructions on how to claim. He never did. I had to make calls until I was told to send my policy schedule to ***********. I did send and never got any feedback. I called and called. On Thursday 02 October I called and I was told I will get feedback on Monday 06 October, I didn't get any feedback, I called on Tuesday I was told I will get feedback before end of business day, I didn't get anything, I called on Wednesday, they told me that the guy who assisted me will call me back later. He never did, I called today I was told the guy will call me today. I think is only a click bait that benefits them. If they beat my quote obviously I will join but if they can't. They don't deliver their promise which in my opinion is unfair practice and against CPA

I requested a statement for my MFC account from 2020, they sent it to me but I didn't understand the statement, there is an amount of around 150000 added to my account in February 2021. Arrears shows a negative number and the term remaining is 71. I called MFC yesterday 08 July and spoke to A guy name Blane or Blaze or something along that coz I couldn't get his name, I think they are trained not to clearly state their names. Anyways he did not provide any assistance, he couldn't explain anything or answer any of my questions. I think MFC is trying to rob me or something, all I need is clarity but MFC couldn't provide, I don't know who can if the creditor themselves can't explain their own statement. The statement is not like a normal statement is like with clear closing and opening balances, and all. Is confusing and no one is helping me make sense of it. I think they want to rob me. Fine I called debtsafe to speak to my debt counsellor, she assured that she will get clarity from MFC as the statement indeed is not clear, she tried to explain the 150000 but couldn't really explain other things so she requested for time to check with MFC, I gave her the time from 08 July till today no feedback whatsoever from her, not even I am still waiting for MFC or anything just to update me yet every month I pay aftercare fees. I sent her emails with no response, I called her she is always busy with client and never get back to me. So MFC and debt safe 0 star for you

Well debtsafe and Ipda are good at taking money from your account but bad at paying creditors or updating client information. Here is why I say so: in April my account was debited as usual, all creditors were paid as usual, however one of the creditors received less money than what ipda says they paid. That is they received R457.21 but ipda statement says they paid the said creditor R891.21. I called debtsafe last week 08 May 2024 for clarity, they since promised to call me back till today. .it seems that my money is lost somewhere between ipda and the creditor and no one from debtsafe is unable to tell me where my money is.
Well debtsafe is good at taking money from your account but bad at sending the right instructions to IPDA for distribution. Here is why I say so: in April my account was debited as usual, all creditors were paid as usual, however one of the creditors received less money than what ipda says they paid. That is they received R457.21 but ipda statement says they paid the said creditor R891.21. I called debtsafe last week 08 May 2024 for clarity, they since promised to call me back till today. So today I called them to check, the phone rings and rings and rings, but the end I can hear that the phone is answered as I can hear sound of people chatting and making movements but no one is talking to me. Nannelle my relationship manager, you will never get her on the phone, she never reply to emails, she never communicate with client, what is debt counselling? If I may ask if your relationship manager is not available for enquiries. Whenever I call I m placed on hold for 20 plus minutes and then be told she is not available now, she will give me a call back but never received any. Give me another relationship manager or someone refer me to a better debt counsellor
Something is not right, I am paying every month but the money I owe to creditors does not go down, this month it will be down next month it goes up, I don't understand how I can pay R4700 and then only about few hundred rands my credit goes down, then next month it goes up again buy few hundred rands... I am thinking someone is eating my money. Is painful paying every month with no progress.
Ok I wrote a review here on Wednesday 08 February 2023, about some activities going on in my account that I don't understand and I m not getting answers from debtsafe. Well they contacted me on that same Wednesday, we discussed then I was promised that they will investigate and contact me the following day... I was not contacted the following day but I understood that investigations can't just happen in one day. So they called me today to confirm that indeed @CapitalData collecting for @Finchoice was taking money that they were not supposed to take. Then the lady told me that it is resolved and she explained how it is resolved which makes sense in a way. Now have I not written a review here, I was never going to get contacted by debtsafe and capitaldata collecting for Finchoice was gonna take up to R15000 under debt safe nose. How can debtsafe allow someone to take money without me knowing or authorising or acknowledging that creditor? Is it ethical? If I didn't complain, was I gonna get refunded or it was just gonna be my loss? Guys please if you are under debt review, check you ipda statements, print them and compare them from month to month, you might be paying a ghost
Poor poor poor service, I sent million emails, tried calling with no one answering the phone, tried contacting them through the portal on their website, no reply from my relationship manager. Every month they taking my money but creditors are calling me left right and center saying they r not paying them anything, I need answers and no one is giving me them, this company is a fraud and please if there is anyone who can help me recover my money and switch to another debt counter, please help me but this company is fraud
