I asked for a quote online. They phoned back the same night (great service, right?) but somehow or other got hold of my DAUGHTER'S phone number and phoned on that number. Can't explain how! I told them NOT to call her as I am the client, the car is mine, and she works in the morning can cannot take personal calls. I have given them MY number three times telephonically and once on email! They called her SEVEN TIMES (count them, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 times) yesterday morning in the space of 4 hours. I TWICE phoned their offices and requested (demanded in the second phone call after speaking to a manager) that they delete my daughter's number and NOT phone her again. I followed this up with a very firm, unequivocal email stating that they are NOT to call my daughter, and especially in light of the fact that we had completed the quote process, answered all the questions, and I now wanted to compare the quote to other quotes. So what happens? THEY PHONED AGAIN ANOTHER TWICE TODAY!!!!!!!!! She is now in trouble at work because her phone keeps ringing!!!!! Bottom line - do NOT ask King Price for a quote unless you want to be harassed endlessly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gravity Transformations is a ****! They advertise that they are looking for 100 people to whom they want to give give a FREE weight loss programme (for the reviews ...). You attend a Zoom meeting where they explain everything, then they whack you with a $200 "refundable deposit" before you get your programme. This "refundable deposit" will be "refunded" to you when (if) you reach your goal. The Zoom meeting is an obvious recording as they answer questions from "attendees", but none of the names they mention are on the platform at that time. Then when they try and get you to sign up and pay your $200, they tell you there are only 17/100 places left. Read up on the company, and it's amazing how many times there are only 17/100 places left. Coincidence? Nope, ****! Don't fall for it, guys!
Wish we could give negative ratings!! I was called by a consultant who "analysed" my skin over the phone (how that is ever possible is beyond me!) They badgered me into finally accepting a parcel for R3 255.84 which I could pay off over a year. I was led to believe the parcel would contain sufficient skin care products to last me a year. When I received the parcel, I had two (2) - count them, TWO tiny 50ml tubes of day cream, TWO tiny 50ml tubes of night cream and ONE tiny 50ml tube of exfoliant. The rest of the parcel was made up of two tiny 175 ml hand lotions for which I was charged R565, 3 bottles of face wash (which, granted, might last me a year) and some other random products. I immediately contacted them and told them I don't want the parcel as the face care products would probably only last me about 3 months, so what do I do for the other 9 months? They simply do not respond. Cannot cancel the debit order as they have placed a block on it. This is OUTRIGHT *****!
So, it's once again me and Rain at loggerheads. Again been with little to no internet for a week, and again nobody with a clue in the whole company who knows how to find a solution. On 18 November (after we had had terrible internet for a couple of days) I got a message that an alarm was going off at the tower and they would send a technician. We're now on 22 November and it's still not fixed????? HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE, RAIN???????
Looking for an internet service provider guaranteed to give you migraines, indigestion and heart-attack-inducing stress. Look no further, Rain is here! For some inexplicable reason, despite me not having moved my tower an inch, I suddenly cannot connect. Have phoned Rain many times, get different people every time. They cannot explain it (nor do they even care whether I have internet or not!!!), keep promising to phone back “within an hour” but you never hear from them again. Maybe they’re sending their service from Pluto, so a Plutonian hour is much longer than an Earth one? They refuse to send out technicians to see what the problem is. But ooh, boy, bet your bottom dollar when they want their money, they’ll take it off my account, despite not providing me with the service! DO NOT TOUCH THEM. THEY SUCK!!!!!
I purchased a spring-action mop from Value Co at Pavilion in Durban. It was an extra long mop which I thought would be great as it would cut my mopping time down. Unfortunately the mop is too big for my bucket. I asked Value if they sold buckets large enough for the mop. They do not. I then asked if I could then swap the mop for the exact same brand, but just with a smaller head so that it would fit into my bucket, especially in light of the fact that the mop was still in its original packaging. They refused as it was more than 7 days since the purchase. I appreciate that the store has policies. I would understand their attitude if: (a) they sold buckets to go with the mop and/or (b) I had removed the packaging. It would have been a simple, straight swap and I would have even forgone the slight difference in price. SHOCKINGLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
Durban is in crisis at the moment with the flooding, many houses without electricity, and now the majority of the city without water. During this absolute shambles in Durban, these guys opened their hearts and their borehole pump and were giving away free water to all and sundry. It is people like these guys who restore one's faith in humanity. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing this huge favour to Durbanites. You guys rock!
Hello all you hard-working transcribers out there. I have been (unreliably) informed that Femi of Perfect Transcribers has died from Covid. This is the message I got: "Hello Sharon, This is Perfect Transcribers wife. This email is just to let you know my husband succumbed to COVID 19 complications in July. He is deceased." Why she would refer to herself as "Perfect Transcribers wife" is beyond me, surely she would have used his name? I have asked for a copy of the death certificate and the name of the executor of the estate so that all the transcribers he has fleeced over the years can claim against his estate, but of course didn't get a reply. Make of this what you will ...
Shout-out to Creative Audio for the panel beating job they did on my car. Unfortunately, Hellopeter only allows five stars - I would give them ten if I could. They have done an absolutely beautiful job on my car, it looks brand new. Thanks, Neville and team, for an awesome job.
Warning to all unwitting people in Durban - person by the name of Raymee (or Raymond as he calls himself) Henning who is a plumber/electrician/general handiman. He trades as Millennium Maintenance in Durban (previously RL Maintenance, but that company has been deregistered). This man is a FRAUDSTER! Do NOT use his services. He demands a deposit for a job and then you never see him again and he refuses to refund the deposit. KEEP AWAY!!!!!
