I am not sure what type corporate citizen is Mondi think their actions are reflecting. The gravel road from Elliot crossing Qebe towards Engcobo is a mess due to the forest harvesting. The road has not been good but driving during rainy days has been no issue, however since the harvesting the trucks and loading plant machinery made it worse and lost much of the last layer of the gravel. Qebe primary school and High school are suffering from this as teachers from Elliot cannot make it to school on rainy days or they attempt and only to find out on their way to school that rain was heavier passed through the plantation harvesting. Mondi and Partners has shown no care to sustain the infrastructure only for their business operation any other road users have to suffer. The gravel and stones became loose on this road making it very difficult to drive on it. The communities may postpone their business in town Elliot but education to our children cannot wait at all. The plantation is known to be Mondi Forest as it was planted by in 22 years back when I was doing my primary school then at Mhlwazi primary. It is disappointing for whoever is benefiting from this business activity not to have seen that instead of contributing they have taken away the little that has been left the government whose response takes its own time with less care. This harvesting is making things worse for the children and communities around. It is not healthy that courts have to be used to compel organisation that we trust should be guided by natural common sense to see their actions even before attempting the operations and prefer to destroy while sucking out resourcing from the poor. I have no appetite for the use of courts but to see your conscience guiding you through and do the right thing in an ethical way

I have received this month credit report, I have noticed a activity with increase in credit obligation. I had Homechoice account which was last paid in full in 2017, with a purpose to close it. In my credit report I have noticed that there is an inquiry listed on my credit bureau profile on 12-03-2020 and there is a new addition of Homechoice account with a credit limit of R30 000 and a balance of R11 177. I can be sure this is fraudulent as I found a new cellphone number listed on my credit report. When I try to access my online account with an option to reset the password using my cellphone and e-mail address they are not recognised. It looks like my account was accessed and all my contact details were changed. I have sent e-mail to Homechoice hoping they call back in the morning and I have also left my number to call back on their self help option.
I have took a credit card with Absa with the impression that I will use it to improve my credit score. I have been paying my expensis with and repay it in full before the statement date. I always pay more than the credit limit to ensure that the R55 monthly fee is taken care of and avoid being less than the R20 000 limit. last month I paid up the credit card R20 100 and I was charged interest of R94.60 and budget installment of R139.43. I have refered this matter to their dispute resolution unit and they responded with no solution instead they justify the interest for over two months statement period while I having the account paid up every 30 days. I have decided to discontinue having their service it is very unpleasant with incompetence.
The premium review was great. I did not expect it. Thank so much Thando and Zandie
