A quote for R3.6k turned into an invoice for R5.1k - without any approval or notification (via Quay 1 Realty). All materials were pre-purchased. Instructions to use the pre-purchased materials were very clear - yet ignored. Very clear and obvious duplication of line items on the invoice. Shameless chancer, and a ripoff artist. Imagine charging R5k to install a U-bend and two light switches!!! Avoid!
"Pathetic, childish, and amateur", do not even begin to cover it. Expect a massive fee to find a tenant who ultimately cannot actually afford it and a monthly commission for literally f***-all! Opaque billing, inscrutable accounting, zero accountability, and the 'internationally recognised billing systems' regularly result in several days between the tenant paying and the landlord receiving funds. Which they exploit, playing one off against the other. Flim-flam of the highest order. Run away.
I requested the service for an unabridged birth certificate, opting for the 7-day turnaround time (pricey, but who has the time to hang around Home Affairs, am I right?) Lo, within seven days I had my UBC. Now here's where it gets interesting: there was an error captured on my UBC at the DHA, so it was unusable. I alerted SP Documents (Sintiche) to the error, which was promptly corrected, resubmitted, and rushed through - no quibbles, no stories, no BS. Although I did not get my document when expected, technically, it did arrive on time, mistakes happen, and it was the handling of a problem that prompted me to rate julle five stars. I also now have a correct UBC. Many thanks!
One star, but only because my previous experience was seamless - which makes this even more annoying. Had that not been the case, I would rate you a negative number of stars for my wasted time. I have been waiting over two weeks to have an ONT installed and have heard absolutely nothing from you. Telkom managed to deliver the router within a week, so what is the holdup? Using the Openserve website is an exercise in pure frustration as the chatbot directs you to pages that do not exist and there is no way to get in touch with a human being. This is what you get when you replace people with robots - the most vexing and impersonal experience ever. Tell me, Openserve, when Telkom bills me at the end of the month, and I am expected to pay for a service I have not received - are you going to foot the bill? I'm pressing X to doubt. As a result of this utter lack of concern on your part I must also strongly dissuade others from using Telkom as an ISP. You, Openserve, are giving them a bad name. I have received NO comms from you, barring the automated do-not-reply email confirmations I get for lodging a complaint with my reference number. No calls, no WhatsApps, no SMS - Nothing. And God help you if you tell me to use Facebook to get in touch.
