Friendly informative advice and sattiisfying in customer needs
I am changing my review and altering my rating for Mondo to 2 stars. The very first phone call was raising hope and giod expectations with me. But now after one month of no resolution to my request, I am frustrated! I phoned out all my airtime to keep on repeating my request over and over again! Then the operators just tell me that "today we'll escalate it, and you should get an email at the end of the day" For 30 days now!
Doubts became satisfaction. I am a real human being. I have a facebook page as well. So this is a real review. I was sceptical after I had an issue with my Decor Essentials online profile. I thought that I would never get my order, because there was no way to track it on their webpage, or the app. So, I started to have doubts. Also, What I have ordered online, has no relevance to decor or events. But the fact that the staff had constant contact with me on whatsapp regained my trust in them, I received my order quicker than I thought I would get it. I would only suggest them to fix the technological side of the customers' profile accessibility, then I can shop through them again. Oh, and remember that courier fees are not included in the price. However. I am satisfied with the service I received.

A very friendly operator handled my request telephonically. I even had the chance to explain my reasons why I had to cancel the contract. He handled my query professional, and on the first time. I feel regret that I could not rate their service after the phonecall, as I was transferred from the frustrating Vodacom (I'll review them now after this) to them. But I would have pressed a 5 for Excellence
I was standing in the hospital's screening que, right in front of Wiesenhof coffeeshop's windows. Staff made eye contact with me, from within. Unfortunately, the doors were closed while I was still in the que. The hospital security let me pass, when they heard me complaining about them closing. I stood in front of the door that was not locked yet - just slided to the closed position. I showed them my money, and hand signaled that I wanted to buy a drink. If only they knew what we've been through today. They showed me with their hands that they are closed. What happened to compassion? After they have seen me standing in the que! I showed them what they can do with their drinks!
I always check my electronic slip to see if I paid the right amounts. You never know... So, Yesterday a "SPECIAL WHEN YOU SWIPE SMARTSHOPPER" poster, close by the checkout, mislead me to buy the items I would not have bought otherwise. It stated that if you take THREE of the item, you only pay R20 for all three together, instead of R8.99 each - when you swipe! Which I did. But upon inspection of my electronic tillslip, at work, on my email, I discovered that I paid FULL price!! That is R26.97, in stead of only R20. That is R6.97 out of my pocket! Doesn't sound much? But add all the DECEPTIVE adverti*****ts together, (where you as a shopper think that you might save, but ACTUALLY pay more than what you originally intended) then you are actually robbed in brought daylight! And who always check? Some people don't even notice, because of these small differences! Whatch out for these specials! Some of them could be falsely advertised to lure you into spending more, or buying stuff you did not intent to! AND CHECK YOUR TILLSLIPS!
It has happened a couple of times now. The price on the shelve has a "special" tag on, that give you huge discount on bundles, if you swipe your Smartshopper card. But at the till, I paid the full amount. This specific instance was for No name Tuna - 4 tins for R55. I had other items in my trolley too, so I did not realise it immeadiatly after the transaction, since they do not give full till slips anymore. At home, I even realised that I never ever before, receved a e-mailed till slip. I have lodged a query for that as well now. (ticket 71487) I do not have a lot of money for food, and only buy specials. I feel this was a false indication of a special, that mislead me in buying something way above my budget!
Sick and tired of this! Other STUDENTS (without income), got finance for studies for 4 years. They (or their fathers) only paid the interest, and after they got qualified, they started paying the capital. We tried the same, (WITH INCOME - me and my student daughtger) After year two (2020), they stopped us - Said I do not qualify any more, cause my salary is too small. Meaning that I must start to pay the CAPITAL now. From beginning 2021, I tried RESTRUCTURING to extend the terms, BECAUSE I cannot AFFORD this suddenly. They say I do not qualify - BECAUSE I cannot AFFORD it. MANY branch VISITS, telephone calls, emails, later, they told me I can make a standing arrangement, instead, that will continue every month. Came the first month of the agreed arrangement, the deduct BOTH AMOUNTS!! The arrangement amount, plus the (unaffordable) original amount. Trying to solve this, after a week, I still do not have the "refund" money back, and they called me because my account is now in arrears. I am considering to seek LEGAL help now
I currently have a major issue with ABSA student loan, that is affecting my monthly finances beyond the breadline. I will elaborate on that in another review, if I dont get satisfactory results within the near future. But in this one, I want to state my disgust in them, accusing me of being "always not availible" when I have only missed ONE of their call-center's calls. I even attempted to return that missed call within five minutes, only to get "The number that you have dialed, does not exist". In numerous other "bad quality" calls, I requested them to rather contact me on the landline, since I work in a ba*****t, and don't have good reception. I even attempted to call THEM when that occured. I WAS NEVER "always not available", and ANSWERED all but ONE of their calls. Yesterday, I requested them to phone me back after 5 minutes, because the call-center agent asked me if it is a good time to speak, while i was busy. That 5 minutes callback never happened! This morning I got a SMS stating that my agreement has been cancelled, and I must contact them. When I managed to get hold of them, they said that they will ask the agent who assisted me, to call me back again. I am still waiting All this communication errors of ABSA causes me to be unable to resolve my main issue with them, regarding my study-loan, which is life-changing, and cripples me. But I'll be patien a little bit longer on that issue. I had my credit card with ABSA, since the very beginning, (1998), but now consider to settle it, with my next bonus, and go to my own bank for a credit card. Bad service (communication) is one thing, but FALSE ACCUSATION!!??
