Spar Senekal Free State refuse to sell items as per the price appearing just below it on the shelf.
consumercare@pioneerfoods.co.za Wed apr 23 email sent, to which I had no reply. I just recently purchased some of these fruit rolls and when I opened it, I noticed that the top had light white marks on it and when I turned it around, the bottom, which was the inside of the roll, had about the whole area covered with the distinctive white marks. It looked like mildew. The packet indicated that it was packed 11-02-25 and the best before date 28-02-26. I have never experienced this before with other fruit rolls and was really shocked when I saw this. I am not impressed with what happened and it is quite appalling. I offered to send them photos and to date I had no reply from them. It just shows you what their mentality is regarding customer service.
When we used the ATM at Capitec Senekal to withdraw Sassa money, the machine had a problem and did not pay out the money. The incident was reported to the branch in question and they said that they would sort it out within 48 hours. and it is now 192 hours and nothing has been done. Sassa confirmed that they have paid the money to Sapitec. Capitec is still sitting with the money and they refuse to rectify the situation and pay the money. This is not good at all.
There is nothing worse than opening a holder of chicken livers and find it filled with gal bladders. Although in the past I have found some of the containers having some in it, lately it is not the case which tells me the supervision and quality control is great and has improved a lot. I just hope this continues to be the case. Thanks for looking after your customers.
I recently bought a Pepper Steak Pie which was sold at our OK dealer in Senekal in the Free state. I have bought a couple of them over a period and have generally found that although it tasted great, the ingredients were not pure beef or steak as it is supposed to be. The last pie I bought I had a rather large piece of tough flesh in the pie and when I examined the piece, it appears to be either a part of the inside of a stomach or intestines. The color was different to steak and had the surface of the stomach or intestines. Growing up on a farm, we called it "afval" which is mainly the stomach of a sheep that is prepared with a curry sauce etc. Selling this type of meat is first of all not "steak" and is definitely not acceptable at all, especially in a Pepper Steak Pie. In my opinion this points to ***** and *******ion and should not be tolerated at all. I have also decided never to support this company again. they can keep their pies and feed the ***s with it.
I bought a bottle of fig jam which was definitely not pure fig jam. One character of fig jam is that the sauce is always filled with small pips. Well, in my case I took some out with no pips and when I tasted it, it tasted like peach jam. It is disgusting how businesses steal money from people by not providing the pure thing.
I just had the most fraudulent experience from Albert from Relocation Link, Link Group in Gauteng, who acts as an agent to assist people in getting accounts opened at Venterspost Municipality. I was also informed that he would be able to physically show the my estate agent the location of the particular stand. I sent him an email requesting a quote to open an account at Westonaria Municipality who handles Venterspost residential stands/accounts, as well as to physically point out to Sonja from Sonja Gaylin Estates, where stand 811 is located. He sent me a quote for both requests. He just quoted on the quote “Confirmation of property outline“ which could be interpreted that he would do what I requested with the pointing out of the stand to Sonja. I accepted that he would fulfill my request as outlined in my e-mail. I first paid him to open the account which he did. When I paid him to do the pointing out of the stand to Sonja, he sent me a photostat of the layout of the area plus a photostat of the information on the sizes of the stand, which I had already obtained from the Quantity Surveyor Generals’ office at NO CHARGE. He now claims that he did what he quoted for, but that is not what I have requested. He should originally have come back to me to say that he does not do a physical point out of stands location but could only supply me with information regarding the stand. He refuses to accept the responsibility of physically pointing out the location of the stand to Sonja from Sonja Gaylin Estates and charged R2500 for basically two Photostats. I view this as a fraudulent action which also boils down to theft. It is disgusting to say the least to see and experience how people blatantly defraud others and think it is OK.
I recently bought a bottle of "Little Bee Honey 100% pure 500g Choice grade" from our local OK trader. When I tasted the product, it did not taste like honey at all but more like normal Hewlett's Syrup. Even the viscosity differs from pure honey and is in fact the same as Syrup. I wrote to the company and they requested the batch number and best before date which I supplied to them. To date I had no reply from them. When I later had a look at the sticker on the back of the bottle, it indicated that this is a product of South Africa and/or India and/or Uruguay. The fact that they wanted the batch number was obviously to check which products they mixed and the best before date because some additive was added or they have used a radiation method to act as a preservative. Normal pure honey does not expire and therefore needs no best before date. Well, I can tell you that whatever they are doing, they will not match pure honey's taste and viscosity. I have taken out honey from beehives and I know what pure honey is and what it taste like. The product that they are selling is definitely not pure honey. They are fraudulently misleading people to enrich themselves and that is disgusting, to say the least.
This complaint has been reported previously but nothing materialized. The complaint was about Supa Quick, Church Str, Bloemfontein who fraudulently removed my Toyota's stainless steel silencer box without my consent and replaced it with a soft steel silencer box. on 24 December 2020. Supa Quick is a franchise under the control of Bridgestone. I have spoken to Supa quick who were blatently rude and arrogant and when I spoke to Bridgestone, it appears that they do not give a damn about the customer and it is all about money and protecting their franchise holders. I just want to say, both these businesses management will one day stand before the Lord and explain why they have done what they have done. We will then see who is the toughest.
I went to Supa Quick in Bloemfontein on 24 December 2020 to have my car, a Toyota Sprinter's exhaust to be fixed. The car was put onto a lift and the technician and myself went beneath the car to inspect the situation. We noticed that the pipe leading from the front to the back was rusted and needed to be replaced. I also said to the technician that I was under the impression that both the silencer boxes were stainless steel and should be ok. He pointed out to me that the front box had a hole in it and although I am still under the impression it was a stainless steel box, I asked him to give me a quote to replace the whole pipe up to the back silencer box and also a new front box, leaving the back stainless steel box. They quoted a price of R1800 which I accepted but also requested that they check if they could not provide a better price. They said they will see what they could do and it would take plus/minus an hour to do the job. My son-in-law was with me in his own vehicle and we then went home, leaving the Toyota at their premises. They phoned us later to collect the car and asked me to start the car to hear everything was in order. I did so and the car sounded great and I left. At that time I did not view the car underneath to check if everything was done as per my request and I also did not expect something else to happen. About a week or so ago, I noticed something strange at the back of my car, an area that I do not regularly view or check. I noticed that the exhaust outlet had some rust marks in it and it seemed strange as that was not my previous experience, because of the stainless steel box. Also, the stainless steel box had two outlets which was reduced to one outlet on the normal steel box that they installed. It was when I checked closer that I noticed that the back stainless steel box was removed and replaced with a normal steel box, which is in fact plus minus R4000 cheaper. When I phoned Supa Quick to try and sort this out amicably they said that I agreed to have the whole system to be replaced, i.e. the two boxes and the pipe, which was not the case. I specifically pointed out to the technician exactly what I wanted and nothing else. I spoke to the manager Gert and he eventually threw the phone down in my ear. After this I contacted Bridgestone South Africa who are the main franchise holders of Supa Quick, MOTAUNG Mathapelo who in turn gave the instruction through to MNGOMEZULU MBUYISWA to investigate. I have requested Mr. Mbuyiswa to sort this problem out before 8 Feb 2021 as I was going to Bloemfontein which is 150 km from where I am staying, and hoped I would be able to have this all sorted out. Well, nothing has happened and I have no response form Bridgestone. This whole issue stinks and I am not happy with the situation. My stainless steel box was removed without my permission and I view this as theft. Shame on Supa Quick
