Disrespectful Treatment at Vaalpark Store – Very Disappointing Experience
I purchased lentils from the store, only to get home and discover that they were contaminated with insects. Concerned, I returned to the store with my receipt expecting a simple and respectful resolution. Instead, I was met with unprofessional and dismissive behaviour from both management.

Confirmation Message *Business Name:* SPAR *Rating:* 1 out of 5 *Review:* Ou Spar in Sannieshof (Roosville) is in a verry bad condition... its been 2 weeks now that there is no spar milk, bags of potatos, no albany or any brand bread only that that spar bake. About 4wks ago we bought lamb chops and it was rotten. The shelves are empty we dont get the goods thats on spevial for instance the one ply Spar toilet paper since the special started there was not one packet in store. I was at spar now after 5'o clock .. there was only one till operating and the staff is not friendly at all chewing chappies in my face its really a horrible experience. Most of the time the fruit and veg aisle are empty with a little bit of stock... not even broccholi or cauliflouer ... by the fast food counters they look at you and stand and chat without helping ... this is absurt service. Hope that this will help improve ou Spar. We as customer battle to even get normal Things like bread and milk

Last month I was at spar to withdraw money around 16:50 asked to withdraw money at the till everything went well transaction approved then power went off,after that the system went off and came back after 5 minutes the lady asked me to insert my card to withdraw again I told her it will decline as it was approved I withdrew R200.

Best Spar in Gauteng
This Spar in de Wiekus rd Van Riebeeck park is a joy to shop at. From Riaan and Mike the managers, to Ivy, Queenie and all the till workers to all the ladies at the cooked food, they are all fantastic. They know me by name , greet me like a long last friend. The cooked food section is brilliant. It's like my mother is in the back cooking the food. I have never experienced a bad day there. Trust me when I say buy your Sunday lunch there. The prices are excellent and the quality is the best in Gauteng. As for the coffee shop at the entrance, Pumza and Nonka you two my my day everytime I buy a cuppacinno. A big smile and a huge hello is what I get from the two ladies verytime and believe me I buy a lot of cuppacinno there. I love this Spar and highly recommend it to all.

Spar Acornhoek cashiers were unhelpful and condescending
Spar Acornhoek refused my RCS card, they were unhelpful and very rude despite calling RCS and confirming that they are part of the RCS network. The first cashier who was standing with other spar workers looked at me in a condescending manner and gave me stride. The second cashier seemed uninterested and didn’t even call the manager. I’d like to know why RCS said it is part of the network, if we are gonna be given attitude.

Bad replenishment and empty products
Wasn’t a pleasant experience low stock on the floor was looking for dog food and dog shampoo and dog power for tics and flees had to go to 2 different branches to get what I need got home without the tics and flees powder. Then decided to get a refill for my raid mosquito killer which when I got home it was empty went to spar in pinetown and super spar in pinetown by pinewalk. The one in pinewalk I was lucky to get assistance on the dog shampoo pick up my raid refill didn’t check because I’m assuming it’s full like every other store I go to but it empty product is not in the box

Rotten and smelly chicken
The review is for Spar at The Orchards On the sunday the 08 March 2026, I bought chicken thighs to the amount of R91.29. Sell by date was on 07.03.2026, barcode sticker says Spar Montana. The thighs were rotten and disgusting smel.
