I have been AA for over 5 years (no missed premiums) and recently claimed for a leaking water pump, which according to their visual diagnostics (via images and videos) should be classified as normal wear and tear (because its not broken) and not covered under the insurance. The strategic use of words as well as ambiguity on the policy as it relates to "mechanical failure" vs. "wear and tear" results in a lot of contradictions they exploit to their means at claim stage. I think the insurance ombudsman should step in to clarify some of these issues we face as clients and identify some of the systematic issues and trends used to reject claims to help improve services and practices. In conclusion, I previously had a good relationship with AA warranties and they have replaced my water pump 3-years ago with a similar issue, so there's precedence issue at play. Nonetheless, I would advice new customers to be careful when taking up these extended warranty plans and maybe rather save the premiums in an interest bearing account for your convenience. **Still waiting for the recordings of our call.
Recently experienced the worst customer service ever from Faith in the retentions department and Linda in the credit card division regarding my interest rate query. I had been on hold for longer than 30min only to be sent back to the start of the process and kept getting transferred from one department to the next. The query is still not solved and no attempts have been made by standard bank to give me a call back.
Tenant at one of their residential properties namely, Sagewood Lifestyle Apartments. I reported a leak in my balcony and bathroom about two weeks ago and still nothing has been done apart from the a few patch works which haven't been finalized. I do email follow ups and call their office but still nothing no action is taken. The issue has been handled very poorly and frankly I am disappointed in their after sales services.
Shortly after canceling my sim card with Rain, I made an enquiry with respect to the recurring debit order and was advised that the billing department (whom you apparently cant contact directly) will get back to me. They are yet to get back to me and whenever I call to follow up I'm advised that the query will be escalated. If you ever plan on procuring their services, kindly note their customer service is really subpar.
