Terrible and very *****ulent company full of despicable lies and empty promises. I paid in full for my garage door in December 2023. Five months later, yes five months later still has not been installed. Its has been a terrible nightmare dealing with them, more in particular a lady called Martie. A lie of epic proportions. A have now taken my case to Small Claims court and will be send Letter of Demand as directed by the clerk of the court. Summons are pending STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!
I recently had and still having the unfortunate experience of dealing with a garage door supplier and installer who provided me with terrible service, that company is called Garage Door People. From start once I had paid the quotation amount of R47 000. 00 in full on the 1s November 2023 the entire process was a nightmare and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using this company. REALLY STAY VERY FAR FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! Firstly, the initial consultation was not followed and they did not bother to come and visit my house to do their own measures. My request was to try and have the door installed before December shutdown but to date this door has still not been installed. The amount of lies being spewed by the lady called Martie is really disgusting and don't understand how a woman of her age can be so full of lies. Once I had finally made a decision on the garage door, the installation process began. This is where things really went downhill (understatement). One day the installation team is stuck up inland and on their way down they will be coming to me in PMB to install. once this does not happen the other days the installer is on his way to collect the door and coming straight thereafter to install. When this never happened/materialised. Im than told the team will be coming to install on Wednesday but awill be starting in Amanzimtoti first than coming to me. Guess what, yes correct this never happened. Mind you me this is the forth month and still no door. Throughout this there has not been one explanation nor an apology for the delay and frustration. The attitude has now changed with Martie and is now extremely rude and unprofessional. As other complainants on this website have noted, they have no registered offices and walk in offices. Overall, my experience with this garage door supplier and installer was nothing short of a disaster. I would strongly advise anyone to avoid using this company and look elsewhere for their garage door needs.
I have been sending email after email requesting for my insurance linked to my credit card account number to be terminated for months now but to no avail and yet I continue to be charged. Furthermore, I have called and made to hold on line for hours and still can not get through. I have been transferred to from department to depart and no one from Standard bank seem to be able to help. The only good thing is that they continue to charge me for insurance I do not use and need.
I have been sending emails for the past 3 weeks to Debt Busters requesting my clearance letter seeing that I have now fulfilled all my obligation by settling all accounts under my name. A person by the name of Mila (Debt Busters) responds to me and advises that FNB still has an outstanding amount. I then made a phone call to FNB to enquire about this and they advised that I have settled my Wesbank account (the only one by the way) and will send through the settlement letter. Which they did. SO clearly Debt Busters whom I pay every month did not follow this up properly. To this day or two weeks later, I have not received a response from Debt Busters on my clearance letter. Today I phoned their offices and requested to speak to Mila, Sipho, and their manager Achmat Kassiul. None of them were available... The receptionist (Pheko) said he will get Mila to come back to me, unsure what would make her come back to me now as she has failed to services me properly for the past weeks. Further to this, I then had additional debit done by then this month of R3500.00 after all my account had been settled and advised them accordingly. what will happen next is me battling to get this money refunded due to their own fault.
I am so frustrated and dissappointed with MiWay, for which I have been member of for a number of years and have two of my cars ensured under. I lodged a claim on behalf of my wife on their app as the main member on the 7th December 2019. I sent a follow up mail on the 10/12/2019 as I had not received any feedback. I received a call from Kaashifan requesting to know where the car is after I had advised of this on their app and also on the follow up mail I had sent. The car was only collected on the 12 December 2019 as it could not be driven for a lengthy distance due to damage for assessment. I however received a mail on the 11 December 2019 before the car was collected advising that they would write off the car as it was uneconomical to repair. So why collect the car for assessment in the first place??? I then sent another follow up email on the 17 December 2019 as I again had not received any feedback. This time I received a call from Keagile whom advised of the documentation I needed to post to them via Postnet due to the car being a write off. I did this and again as I had sent an incorrect cars registration certificate. I then followed up with them after 2 days as clearly they do not bother getting back on their customers. This time I spoke to a lady whom advised on a buy back value and she also confirmed that this could be processed and paid the same day. I then called again the same day on the afternoon to also confirm the write off value and was advised of this and requested the car to be written off and paid off so we can urgently look for another car for my wife in order to take the kids to school when the schools reopen. I was then advised that the car needs to be taken to SMD prior to the claim being finalized but this could only happen from the 6th January 2020 as either the panel beater or SMD were closed for Christmas. I am now baffled as they had confirmed the write off value and why the delay in paying and then they can take the car to SMD. We feel very frustrated with the delays caused by non response of Miway knowing full well of their lengthy process more so knowing of the December holidays etc.
