Placed an order online on the Makro website 1 December 2025. Received 1 item on2December 2025 and the other item would have been delivered today. On Sunday I got an email to say that my account has been credit the amount of the item and will reflect on 16 December 2025. When you place an order you have to pay immediately now I have to wait 8 days for my money. Phoned the call centre spoke Nosipho to find out what is going on and asked to speak to a manager because she doesn’t know who requested the credit. Today is Tuesday and I’m still awaiting a call from a manager of Makro. Monday called and spoke to Bongile and got the same answer requested to speak to a Manager was kept on the line for 23 minutes before the line was disconnected. Does Makro not value their customers that management not even call back a customer? This is VERY bad service from Makro.
Was very excited when the new store opened in our town. After the terrible service I received from them this week. On Tuesday I ordered sliced cooked ham from Checkers( which have ordered three time before) when it arrived the packet was opened and the ham was sliced so thin that I could see through it. Got in my car and returned the ham, just for the deli manager to say he can’t replace it as the don’t have any STOCK. Then purchase other ham as I needed it for supper. It was the worst ham that I have ever eaten in my life. On Thursday I ordered frozen shrimp that I needed for a dinner party I had hosting. Needles to say I was so disappointed with the product, was scared to use it didn’t want to poison the guest. Took photos and send it to the store. Today I returned the ham and shrimp to Checkers . Already got my money back on the shrimp via the sixty 60 app, store manager never said anything about my money for the ham. Want to know who is going to pay for the inconvenience of their POOR quality products and for my fuel riding up and down to the store?
Checkers in Estcourt opened a week ago, was n the shop on Thursday and already I’m disappointed in the attitude of the staff. A VERY rude woman at the veg section shouted NO at me when I was looking at the veg combos that was available, left the trolley just their and walked out the shop. Was very excited when the sixty 60 guys arrived yesterday. Was at the shop just now and asked how do I go about ordering cigarettes with my order, two very helpful ladies said I must follow them and they will find out for me. Assumed it was a manager the ladies spoke to a RUDE man and ask him and he just said if it is not on the app you can’t get it. Once again I left the trolley just there and walked out the shop. Guess the excitement for Checkers to open is now a thing of the past. Will stay with pick n pay because I know what service I get from them.
Received a call from the call centre on 11 February 2025 about a Regsbystand en Persoonlike ongeluks plan. Told the person that I spoke to that I can’t confirm that day I will take the plan as I want to discuss it with my husband first. Called Virseker back the next day and asked if the Regsbystand plan will cover us if we have a current case that is in the system where a person is owing us a large amount of money, and the person said no it won’t because it is already in process. Told the person then we are not interested in the plan and they must please cancel it. Was told that he will email a cancelation letter. Never received the letter. Today 03-04-2025 they have deducted the amount from our bank account of a plan that I have cancelled on the 12-02-2025. Called the call centre again and asked why it was not cancelled when I called and got told DONT KNOW. Will only received the money back after 10 days. Easy to take the money but not easy to pay it back. On writing this review still no email was received.
Don’t deserve any stars that is how disgusting their service is. Placed an order and paid for all the items on the ASAP app Tuesday 01 April 2025. Ordered 2.4kg chicken braai pack as it was the only item that was in stock. When I received the order there was no chicken. Phoned the store and spoke to Thando and asked her why didn’t I received the chicken. She then told me that it was out of stock and I should have chosen an alternative. Told her that there was no alternative to choose. Thando then ended the conversation by disconnecting the call. Called the store and spoke to a supervisor by the name of Samke told her what was going on and she was going to call me back. Needless to say I had to call her back. Samke then said they can deliver the chicken to me how will I pay for it by card or cash, told her I have already paid for the chicken. WHY MUST I PAY AGAIN. Samke then did exactly what Thando did and disconnected the call. I’m still waiting for the chicken to be delivered. It is not the first time that I have received such bad service from Pick n Pay in Estcourt. They deliver vegetables that is not fit for human consumption, when you call and ask why the vegetables is rotten they can’t answer. Who can afford to waste money on rotten food with our current economy.
Have been having problems with our WiFi since the 25 January 2025. Eventually got to speak to somebody on 11 February 2025 and was told that some settings on the router was incorrect and it was corrected. It only lasted 4 days and we are back to square one, it is buffering all the time and you can’t get a technician at the call centre to talk to and get assistance. Have been trying for 2 and a half hours this evening and eventually got a person by the name of Aoyla Mamela and had to do a speed test send it to him and to be told to watch the progress and report back to them. When I said that they need to sort it out he told me that I will have to pay for a technician to come and sort it out. Reference number that was emailed to me is #2647619.

The microwave started making funny noise on Friday 07-02-2025, on Sunday afternoon 09-02-2025 when I wanted to use the microwave it was not working. Return the microwave to Bawaz furnitures on Monday 10-02-2025. The lady behind the desk said that the technician was coming to the shop the next day she will contact me. By Friday I haven’t heard from the shop called defy service center and was told the technician was looking at the microwave that day. Monday haven’t had any feed back phone defy service center and was told the machine wasn’t looked at but it will happen on Monday. Called BAWAS Furnitures and spoke to Farishma and she couldn’t even remember that she booked the microwave. Phoned defy service centre today and they are STILL waiting for the technician to look at the machine. How *********** can some be? Phoned BAWAS and spoke to Farishma and she will call me back which was suppose to happen yesterday as well. Hope to get a response from one of the companies through your medium.

Don’t deserve any stars. The pharmacy manager and one of pharmacists is the rudest people that I have come across in my life. They don’t know what I’m experience with my medical condition then they treat you like **** from the earth. Today I was the store at 10:30 and there was a hand written note on the door that the store is closed due to a power failure. Went back an hour later the lights in the store was on but the doors was still closed. Phone the store to find out what time the will be opened and a very RUDE lady answered the phones and said that the store is closed due to a power failure, said to her I’m standing infringe of the store and the lights is all on. Asked her what time will the store open and she said I don’t know, asked if it will open today or tomorrow and her repo se was I don’t know. How will I get my repeat script back from Clicks in order to go and get my medication from another pharmacy?
Good day I want to just relay the disgusting service I have received from Bosch tools in New Germany . I’ve been a Artisan for about 35 years and only use Bosch hand tools, but after the service lately I will not be using their tools anymore. I purchased a battery operated hand drill from Mica Estcourt November 2023. After about a week to two the chuck was loose and we could not drill accurately . I then asked my wife to take it back to Mica , their was a clueless guy that told her it still drills and that thier is nothing wrong , obviously been a woman he could con her. Sending the machine back to site 356 km away . Again I sent the machine back again the same guy said to her the machine is fine . Again back and forth with a machine that is faulty, Arriving back in Escourt I personally took the machine in and explained to the clueless guy and showed him what was wrong with the machine . Then he decided to send it to Bosch . I received a call a week later from a tech and I explained to him what the problem was , said he would get back to me but to no avail call was 9 Feb 2024 . I’ve been making calls non stop to Bosch but have been told waiting for spares then it’s different spares and never have I been called back as to how long , the lady I spoke to the last time she literally made me wait 28 min and to no avail . I called again and asked to speak to the branch manager again just kept me on the phone for 32 min these calls were from my cell . The service that Bosch has given is so poor I was forced to buy a substandard type that has served me well . It’s in the 3rd quarter of the year and still no response from Bosch or Mica So Bosch is basically saying to many customers Don’t buy our products their is no after sales . The staff have no respect cause it’s over a phone and not face to face , they don’t seem to understand the lose of time on a job due to there disgusting after sales and disrespectful staff and management . I will maybe be one unhappy customer but I will never support or purchase a Bosch product again
