Out with Nout
Well here we go again begging outsurance after paying in for many years. Last year roof leaked and rain ran down bedroom wall. Outsurance sent a professional roofing guy (oh boy) ladder held with string. Anyway he could find out where the water was getting in, so outsurance sends another expert, he also confirmed a leak but said the roof is like new. OK back to Outsurance who by now are stuck and basically said that's it case closed, I in reply said OK well the water is still coming in so later I'll claim for ceiling and carpet, outsurance said thank you and phone down. OK so now I get Empire Roofing in and they found hair line cracks, so I said please fix the roof and paint it. Back to you always get something Out, because of time duration (new one they use) you are not covered. 15 years of paying in and only a couple of claims this is how I'm treated. I'm going to cancel my policy unfortunately, so they win with all my payments. Ah well at 74 I shouldn't worry, but you should. They brag about Paying out Billions of Rands out bonus, which they over charging or not paying out on claims. Happy 2026

So Sad Let Down
Nearly 20 years with OUTsurance and always recommended them to friends but I am sad to say that after all this time with them "I have been let down" I put in a claim because a car hit mine in the drivers side whilst driving, outsurrance response was im 40% to claim "well Daaa" he hit me in the side. I took it to the top and finally was paid out, but why did i have to fight with them. Past few weeks Storm in the Cape heavy rain and gail force winds and the rain came down the bedroom wall, the roof is as new with cement tiles with no visable cracks or holes. Called Outsurance and after a week and a half the assessor pitched up, he looked on the outside and concluded wear n tear, also that the sun room roof is asbestos and should be changed to metal. Ok now the cement tile roof is the same as the whole estate which is about 15 years old approx, he didnt look inside the attic were he would have seen the plastic liner has torn and hanging down thus water in high winds can and will blow up under the tiles and run down the beams and onto the ceiling. The sun roof was added 4 years ago and the roof is big 6 cement corrugation, any engineer knows asbestos was band many many years ago. Conclusion the assessor works on 4 evaluations quotes:- Bad workman ship. Wear and tear. Act of God. Its your fault. Discovery keeps calling me to change to them, should I ????

Great service
Garage door Torsion spring broke. Door stuck closed 7pm, phone Autogate and next morning early they arrived and Fitted new springs and cables, all working. Thank you Mosses

Several policies
I wanted to insure my 2 cars and 2 houses, Outsurance recommended I put them on the same policy which seemed easy and less policies, but when claiming not so good an idea. If I had them on separate policies I would still get a portion of Outbonus back but having claimed on 1 house I loose the lot. Be careful they are in it to make money so think before you agree.

Electric Fence
My electric fence stopped working so I contacted Peri Secure and spoke to Julie, she sent a team out and gave me a loan energizer to ensure my family safety while they fixed my old unit. Natasha then contacted me to ensure we were ok and the loan unit was working. 3 days later and my unit was repaired and re-fitted working 100%. Brilliant service, and kind caring staff. Cost of re-pair, fitting it and loan of back up unit R1300, now thats a bargain. Thanks to all.

Fair play
Claim 303046478 Water coming out of geyser so phoned outsurance and they sent a plumber, received an SMS stating I will loose my out bonusR6000. I thought ok the new tank and tray will be more than that. The plumber came and replaced a washer and tightened a pipe job done. I was annoyed that a R100 job cost me my out bonus of R6k. But a Outsurance angel (Monica) phoned me and said good news because it was only a washer and less than an hours work you keep your out bonus as its classed as plumber emergency, fantastic Outsurance, and thank you to Kathy and Monica two really nice and polite young ladies. Kudo's to both

Well-done
Had SA Paving to do my drive 8 years ago, recently the drive had a sag in the middle. Phoned Grant (Cape Town) and he sent out a team. Brilliant job and you would never know the team was here, cleaned up everything before leaving. The drive is perfectly level and again looks stunning. Their 25 year guarantee WORKS. vodacom Top Music
I buy 1Gb data for R99 and I see im paying R7,50 for Top Music which I never asked for. If I input the Top music web site (goo.gl/MtdGTQ) it takes me to (live.vodacom.co.za/za) I have contacted vodacom but no help. My data is running out fast.
