Today I have attempted 5 times to get someone to respond to my query regarding the payment of my account. On each occasion I have had to provide my ID number, Customer Number, Cell number,Email and physical address. I explain my query, am told that they will look at my account and the line goes silent until it disconnects. Two of the 5 customer service agents I have spoken to are Memory and Ilunga, both of whom assured me that I would not be cut off which promptly happened. This appears to be the only way to make an enquiry about a DSTV account. My debit Order has gone through as it has done every month until the termination of my service today, even though the bank statement today indicates that the full payment has been made. there appears to be no other way to query this and to get an explanation for an arbitrary outstanding account. It is frustrating beyond measure!
I had lunch at Mama Luciana Glenashley after a long while and was pleasantly surprised. The Lunch Menu offers really good choices and the food was delicious. The service was great. Only one little peave - the music. Otherwise a great experience!
Jack Salmon never dissapoints! Good service, friendly staff, good food and a beautiful view!
Always a good meal at Lord Prawn - and good service as well. A bonus is the validation of the parking ticket for those who use the on-site parking. Lord Prawn is one of the few restaurants with table cloths and cloth napkins which adds a touch of class. I was a bit taken aback at the gratuity being included in the bill.
Always a good meal and good service at Atasca, Westville. The new decor is attractive and lovely. I do, however, miss the table cloths and cloth napkins which always made Atasca a cut about most restaurants.
I don't often eat at Mayfair but each time I go there I am recognised and given very personal service. The waitress even remembers what I drink. The manager always comes around to check is everything is okay. Asise from that food which is always good, I like the personal service. The same can be said about Mayfair Cafe in Durban North.
The Hussar Grill (now at the Oceans Centre in Umhlanga) is always an enjoyable dining experience. The menus is extensive and good. Service is very good and the meals I have had there are always excellent. I like the little touch of a complimentary chocolate liqueur at the end of the meal.
So good to see Lord Prawn flourishing again. Good food, good ambiance and very good service.
On Friday 25 August I had lunch at Atasca Durban North as I've often done in the past. Sadly the menu has changed offering a reduced selection to the previous menu. I have always enjoyed my meals at Atasca Durban North and, once again, the meal was good. The service, however from dismal. It took an endless while for the drinks to arrive at the table and the selection of available drinks was greatly reduced. During the meal we requested a top up of our drinks (Coke Zero and Cranberry Juice). These never arrived. On enquiry we were told that it was being sorted out. 40 minutes late still no drinks. The service was tardy and disinterested. There was only one other table occupied. I'm afraid that that was my last visit to Atasca Durban North.
I went to Woodcutters, Westville having looked them up online. It seemed that they had made changes and had added to what was previously a rather limited menu. Unfortunately nothing had changed. It was the same old menu and the menu itself was old, tatty and dog-eared. No specials were explained or even mentioned. Woodcutters has the potential to be a good restaurant with a little creativity, attention to detail and spruced up menu.
