I’m writing to warn others about my experience with The German Roofer - Daniel. He replaced the roof at 40 Woodlands, Woodstock, quoting almost three times higher than all other contractors, claiming his work and materials were of “the highest quality” with a 2-year workmanship and 10-year materials guarantee. From day one, the roof continued to leak. Despite repeated reports, Daniel misdiagnosed the issue, blaming plumbing instead of his own waterproofing. Independent specialists later confirmed that the leak originated from his work, not the pipes. I incurred unnecessary costs following his incorrect advice. Now, within the 2-year warranty period, the roof is again leaking badly. Daniel has refused to respond to calls or attend site, claiming the guarantee is void because another contractor inspected the damage — the same contractor I had to call only because Daniel stopped responding. Independent experts have since confirmed poor workmanship and failed materials: the bitumen torch-on and Roofcote aluminium coating have delaminated, causing water damage and rot in the wood below. They also discovered silicone used where bitumen should have been app****, proving the work was substandard from the start. This is not normal wear and tear — it’s failed workmanship sold at a premium price. Daniel’s refusal to honour his warranty or take responsibility is deeply unprofessional and unacceptable. ⚠ Public warning: Avoid The German Roofer. He overcharges, under-delivers, and does not stand by his guarantees. What was promised as “German quality” turned out to be a costly and stressful mistake.
These guys don't even deserve one star. I can't understand how they are still in business. Cancelled my account. Then 6 months later I realized that they were still billing me because they had set up two accounts under the same address and client name. It has taken weeks and countless hours in an attempt to get them to close this duplicate account. It is still not closed, this is theft.
Paid for Expedite shipping 5-7 days, but the clothing arrived a month later. What arrived was not like what was depicted on the website. The material used looked the same as what one would expect from a cheap bed sheet.
Horrendous Service. They delivered the completely wrong product. That was 5 weeks ago and I am still trying to get Snatcher to refund me, or deliver the product I purchased. This is after countless emails to their customer service where they take days to respond, and when they do respond their message is totally unhelpful.
Makro's online shopping process is a mess. Their system didn't capture the delivery address provided. Courier company did call to confirm the address but then took a week to deliver. Frustrating as this product was not available instore so had no choice but to order it online.
