I app**** for a debt rehabilitation at Emfuleni local Municipality on 21 April 2025, and my balance was R121738.52 and I received few calls from Emfuleni requesting to pay half the amount and I paid R61k as per telephone instruction and I was informed that the amount reflects and that I should go to Seipati to sign the debt rehabilitation agreement form. I went to Seipati Marabe on monday on 21 May 2025 and she informed me that she doesn't see my form and i should come back on Thursday since the new offer doesn't have many heavy terms and conditions. My electricity got cut off on 29th May, and i drove to Emfuleni vanderbijlpark offices. I was informed that my debt as at May was R128321.6, and I was required to pay R68944 immediately or within 7 days. I paid R68944 on 29 July 2025 since I required reconnection. The R61000 already paid was not counted, and it fell off. Gilbert informed me that I should go to the dispute department. I am highly frustrated and disappointed by the way the 50% discount was handled. I paid R68944 and R61000 from a debt of R128322.6, and it means I was never offered a 50% discount, and I paid my municipal rates in full. I kindly request that Emfuleni refund me my R61000 since I paid off the R68944 under duress since I needed reconnection and that I do not stay in Vaal. Let Municipality apply the conditions stated in the debt rehabilitation agreement and stop taking advantage of me.
I am disappointed by service received this morning at 6:00 am on 17 October 2022 where I was informed that I am already late for the flight and the official asked me my seat number and then called in a guy that was on standby to go through. This is highly unacceptable and I had to go back to book another flight for 13:15 because a standby passenger was allocated my seat. My ticket number was FLZJWJ. Lady informed me ACSA has their rules and they have their own when I asked why did I pass through the first security pass .
I have a loan with Capitec and it is handed over to greedy vertex solutions. I have requested capitec to solve close my loan account after I paid off settlement amount offered by vertex that they now refuse to close my account and revise settlement offer on 24 March 2022 after payment was made on 12 March 2022. Chalton Reddy who is a Director there is now saying “ We also place on record that you, had in your telephonic conversation with our agent, Tshegofatso Leola on 11 March 2022 and at 10h04am declined the proposal (request) which was made to you for settlement (proposal) in the amount of R 174 169.66. When you declined the proposed settlement request amount, the proposed settlement request was cancelled and the entire amount due remains the amount that needs to be paid. The amount that is due on the account is R 290 282.76. Despite the proposal being declined by yourself on 11 March 2022, you proceeded to prematurely pay an amount of R 174 169.66 on 12 March 2022.“ I spoke to Agnes on same day and agreed on the figure and then I made payment. Please help me close my loan account and I spoke to Emmanuel from complaints department and I am not winning in closing this account. How is it possible that a settlement offer is valid for less than 12 hours and now after payment on 12 March 2022 that I receive a revised settlement offer of R203k. Chalton Reddy is now threatening me to say if I do not respond to his email by 28 March 2022, he will take my settlement payment and make it a normal payment and I will now owe capitec R110k that i will need to make arrangements for. Capitec, please take note that i will not pay any additional amount on this loan and I want my credit record updated.
Teddy who is Director at this greedy debt collector is instilling fear and dictating to me on the settlement amount I paid of R174699.66 and wants to increase settlement balance of Capitec after I made payment on 12 March. 2. “ If we do not receive your reply by Monday, 28 March 2022, we shall accept that you have elected that the amount of R 174 169.66 is a partial payment of the total amount due in respect of the Capitec Account and that you will be required to still contact our call centre to make an arrangement for the remaining R114 113.10.” This is his response and this pure bullying and selfishness based on greediness and this behaviour must stop
I have written on hellopeter with regard to loan of R283k that was handed over to Vertex after Capitec staff failed to offer me a settlement amount informing me to pay off the arears first..The account was handed over to Vertex solutions and i had requested a settlement amount with discount and i was asked how much i was prepared to pay and i then said i would settle for R150k and i then received an email and few calls telling me to revise the amount to R174169.66 and then write a motivation stating where i got the money from, where i work, the industry and why i would like to pay that amount and i wrote 2 motivational letters and i then paid R174 169.66 on 12 March 2022 and now i am being told that the new settlement amount is now R203k and that i need to pay off an additional amount of R29k. I will not pay off any additional amount and for as long as Capitec does not intervene and close this account since their debt collectors are greedy and want to rip me off, i will use this platform until my account is closed and updated as such on credit Bereaurs. I am angry and vertex lady made me angry today by telling me that capitec will take the R174169.66 as normal payment and i will require to make new settlement arrangement if i wont pay R29k now. Capitec must intervene and close this matter as it irritates me and via their staff were also not cooperative when account was still with capitec. My decision is final that the agreed amount paid of R174169.66 will remain the final settlement amount on my loan and i want to see this loan account settled and updated at credit bureaurs. The loan account number 1692675042 is now increasing and now balance is R290k and will increase again this month and i will not pay any additional amount due to Vertex agreeing with me on settlement amount that they now increase to R203000. Simply because i immeditely paid off the amount does not justify their greediness and decide to take advantage of me by requesting additional amount of R29k. Capitec, please investigate this matter and request proof of payment on 12 March 2022. i will not pay any additional amount and this matter will be reported on all media platforms if not addressed properly
This is another bad service received from Vertex. I had a loan of R283k with Capitec and i asked for a settlement discount and i was asked how much i would like to pay and i offered to pay R150k and i was then asked to revise the amount to R174 169.66 and i paid them on 12 March 2022 and after paying the R174 169.66 i was told that Capitec rejected the offer and this is a blant lie as the fiqure of R174 169.66 was based on the agreed amount and today instead of them solving this mess, they want to take me for a ride and rip me off by requesting an additional amount of R29k to settle my debt and i will never pay any amount on this loan. This is an inacceptable and i am now being told that there was a misunderstanding and they will refund me the whole amount i paid and reach a new agreement with capitec. i will not accept the refund nor will i accept to pay additional amount of R29k. Simply because i paid R174k immediately does not mean they can take advantage of me and rip me off by requesting an additional R29k. Service sucks here and instead of apologising they ask me about when will i pay R29k
I have a loan with capitec that was handed over to Vertex for collections and i was called by Consultant and i requested a settlement discount and i was told to write amount that i want to pay and state the reasons and i wanted to settle the loan for R150k but i was informed that Capitec requested that i increase the amount to R174k and i gladly did and revised the amount and paid the the R174k as agreed and now Vertex comes back saying Capitec rejected. the revised settlement of R174k and i must pay more or be refunded. i will not accept the refund and i want this loan settled and i will not incur any additional expenses from this loan. Vertex is playing mind games with me and i will not accept this illtreatment and they must make sure that this loan is paid in full and i will raise dispute with credit bureaur as well
I have a capitec loan with Capitec that is at R283k now and it was handed over to Vertex solutions and i was called by Vertex asking me to write an amount i am willing to settle this loan for and i gave them a figure of R150k but i was informed that Capitec will settle for R174k and i paid the amount after i stated the reasons as to where i got the money, Why i came to that figure etc. and now that i paid off the R174k as agreed upon with Vertex, they came back with email stating that Capitec refuses to accept the cash and they can now only offer me the 30% & vertex wants to refund me and i will not accept the refund and i want this loan settled and updated on my credit record as being paid in full. There is no further amount of cash that Capitec and vertex will receive from me. Capitec must sort out this mess as i am being taken for a ride and this is not acceptable
I have received bad service from this company and I have been asking for a settlement amount for over 12 months and they always have excuses that they are waiting for their head office whereas they are in their head office.. This is frustrating as I have been asking Charmaine Steyn and Dimakatso Moloi.
Du Preez Van Straaten was swearing at his stuff named Nomfudo using **** at every sentence and even threatening her to end her career at Shoprite Sharpvile if she did not go back to store to wait for technicians at night and we are still at the stores at 23:15 as I write this message on 05TH November 2020. He was literally bullying her, threatening to fire her and telling her to **** off and that he will ****ing sort her out. I was furious as her subordinates listened to this bullying, swearing and threatening of termination of employment. He told her that he is ****ing worried about R3 million stock and to me , her safety at night was not his concern as he kept swearing at her despite her telling him that it is okay meneer, I will go back to stores and wait for technicians. He dropped the call and called her back and started to swear at her again. This time I was really angry and wished I could speak to him personally but I remained calm. We continued to listen to the endless swearing until he decided to drop the call. Du Preez and other managers like him should be called to order and they continue to threaten their subordinates because they staff have accepted this bullying and threatening thinking it is normal.
