If I could give zero stars I would. They charged R760 per day for a deep clean which includes everything. Two ladies will clean your place. I gave them 3 chances when I got home today to check this is what I found: - they don’t clean underneath the furniture - they wipe the windows down but don’t clean the frames - they don’t clean behind the toilet pot you can still see dirt - they haven’t wiped down the kitchen counter properly there’s still a toothpaste stain from a week ago and I left it intentionally to see how they clean - they don’t mop the floors properly cause these floors don’t look or feel clean - they don’t always polish surfaces - the one will have a conversation while the other one is ironing instead of cleaning elsewhere - soap **** wasn’t removed from the shower glass - mirror built in cupboards were not wiped down at the top - floors weren’t even washed!!! - they push items under furniture that they don’t know where to put - they don’t pack away certain items I wish I could get a refund. Worst cleaning experience ever.
The very first time I went to Mellins, I used the branch in Stellenbosch (Eikestad). When I received my lenses the lab inverted my lenses and it had to go back causing another delay. This should have been a sign to switch to a different business. I've purchased new lenses on 18 February 2022. After 10 business days I've heard nothing and decided to call in. I was told there was a fire in the lab but I'll receive my lenses in 5 business days. It's now 19 March and I called in a week ago again. This time it was that my medical aid (Discovery) paid in late and that my lenses will be completed on 14 March 2022. I haven't received a call since. I'm going to call them on Tuesday. This is quite possibly the worst and most irritating customer experience I've ever had and I'm a very understanding person. Take my advice, rather don't get your lenses renewed at Mellins. It's best to try SpecSavers or someone else. I'm definitely never ever using Mellins ever again. This is the last time.
I purchased a variety of items from them this year and despite the pandemic their delivery times are always impressive. I've never received a damaged item so they are pretty good in that department as well. I like the ability to track your parcel. As a result you don't have a need to call anyone to find out at what phase your delivery is. I'm a loyal customer and I think if Takealot is seeking more growth they should offer discounts or vouchers every now and then to their loyal customers which will most likely encourage spending and help them retain their existing client base. Sometimes take a smaller margin over volume actually turns out to be more profitable. Something worth considering if you're reading this @Takealot
I received my monitor I ordered from them 2 weeks after payment. What they can do better is focus on keeping up communication with their clients. Other than that I am satisfied with my purchase and service.
I have ordered a PC monitor of R2 500 on 1 May 2020. They said they'll start operating on the 4th. I have tried emailing, calling and even left messages on the website. I have had zero confirmation of when I can expect delivery. I just want to gain some form of communication from these people for peace of mind. Can someone please confirm if this company is real? What process could I go about to get my money back? I'm worried this company is a scam.
