Headed to breakfast around 9:30 and returned to the room just before 11:00 to find the room being cleaned. Returned about 3 times between then and 14:00 and the room was STILL not completed. Went to reception to complain as my mother is ill and needed to rest (which is what we came to do, REST) and the gentleman couldn’t be bothered as it seems I had interrupted his conversation with a ***orker. He, seemingly nonchalant, instructed me to go search for the cleaning supervisor and enquire with them… FOUR HOURS LATER, the room was cleaned. Why pay heaps for a “4 star hotel” if I’m going to be required to spend almost half the day outside of said hotel? You people need to DO BETTER and place people at the reception who are more hospitable! We pay too much money to be inconvenienced in ANY way.
Extremely offended by the treatment from the concierge, Gigaba, for racial profiling and demanding my room key before entry as a guest who had an issue with Uber upon arrival from an excursion. This is not the sort of treatment expected from such a supposed high end hotel, considering that such treatment is not extended to all guests and was only reserved for myself as I am a woman of colour! Very disappointed.
Absolutely appalled with the service at the Dischem Kyalami Corner Clinic. The resident sister is unwelcoming and cold, not exactly an ideal attitude to have as a sister working with patients. It’s almost as though you being there is an inconvenience for her. What a shame! In addition to her nonchalant attitude, she seems to lack work ethic as well! I went there (01/12/2022) for blood work and was told that I would receive results within 5-7 days. 11 days later, I receive a call directly from the Ampath lab in Waterfall to tell me that they only received my blood on Thursday (08/12/2022) and as a result, it cannot be used and I would need to go directly to the lab in Waterfall for a urine sample instead. They then proceeded to tell me (upon frustration) that they too could not get ahold of the sister at Dischem for an explanation. My goodness, this is incompetence of the highest grandeur! I visited the clinic for geographical convenience and evidently, it was a complete waste of time as I now have to go directly to Waterfall for corrective measures. I will not be visiting the clinic in future and would not recommend it by any means.
I was extremely offended when prohibited to enter the breakfast room at Garden Court Marine Parade in Durban on grounds of wearing a pair of shorts when more than half of the guests were dressed in the same manner. I was told by the patron, Xolani, that I had to go and change or wrap a towel around myself. How inappropriate! To my knowledge, pyjamas are prohibited in the breakfast room (with reason). However, other items of clothing that an individual feels comfortable in? This is totally unacceptable. Also, if that is the rule, I’d think there’d be a little more consistency in application thereof. Highly offended and disappointed!
Horrible customer service. No pricing on appliances which requires you to ask the rude employees who make you wait and continue to do one thing or the other. Eventually left the store with no purchase. Highly irritated!
Fast and friendly service from Bheki Sebegoe. Thank you!
Thato was extremely friendly and helpful. Such a pleasure to converse with and ease my dismay! Thank you for the awesome service!
