Every time I visit the Cabana Bach resort, I just realize it is of world class. Especially one of the Managers, Mr Iain Moolman, make sure you feel welcome, at home, and enjoy your stay. Thank you Cabana Beach!
It happened repeatedly that my loyalty card was not processed at Tucson Spur. On 11 August the waiter took my card to load it, but it again does not reflect. An e-mail was sent to Spur customer care, but also no response from them. Wonder who's card was used to get the benefit, surely not mine
I visited the new Checkers in the Oceans Mall, Umhlanga, several times during the opening week from 15 November 2022. To say the least, I was stunned! What a magnificent store. Congratulations Checkers and Shoprite!
What a pleasure was it to visit the Checkers at Castle Gate, Pretoria, during the Black Friday weekend. The store always gives a world class shopping experience, but this weekend could be a challenge. All till points were however staffed, the merchandising neat and full despite a busy weekend, a clean and neat impression impress even towards the end of day, and the staff are always friendly. Thank you Checkers!
A bulk lamb pack on the Black Friday weekend promotion was bought at a Pick n Pay in Pretoria East on 27 November 2022. What a disappointment to find the biggest amount of junk ever underneath the top layer. It is well known that a lot of bad pieces are normally hidden underneath the top layer of the bulk lamb packs, but this was the worst ever. Some pieces were even bones with no meat on it. The junk which can only become stew, was more than the chops. Photographs to proof it was taken. A small leg roast had hanging pieces of bad meat chunks attached to it. That was not even cut neatly. The content looked like a block man who does not know how to cut properly, and ends up with a lot of wasted parts. I cannot imagine that a shop owner, butchery manager, or block man, can be proud of this level of quality and service to clients. This was not my first bad experience regarding meat at a Pick n Pay, but surely my last. I will never buy meat from Pick n Pay again. There are many other retailers who can provide a better shopping experience in this regard.
It is going now for two weeks, four e-mails, and one telephone call that I struggle to get any response from the Branch at Menlyn about a problem. They just do not even respond at all to my messages. Not even the manager reacts to his e-mail. If that is how Capitec's business side is operating, I am considering to close my private Capitec account and move to a bank like Discovery.
A new Apple Tree opened in the Park Centre, Elardus Park. The store looks good, prices are good, and quality is very good. We will support them for sure.
Evergreens Kempton Park is a pleasure to visit and support. The range and prices are good. Stock always available, store clean and neat. Staff are helpful, especially from the butchery. Friendly service at the till points and exit doors. it is worth the drive, and you will save money.
What a pleasure to visit and buy at Checkers Castle Gate. Great store, Great management, great products and range, great store!
Pick n Pay Cornwall View never honor the Pick n Pay promotion adverti*****ts on chicken. The current promotion cycle has the same conflict with a front page adverti*****t. The owner explained to me before it is because he does not buy his chicken from the PnPay DC, but from another supplier. They have different labels. That is why he does not respect the promotion. From the items on the shelve, he does buy chicken with the same labels, especially already processed cuts liked chicken schnitzels, but never the fresh chicken. He has the fresh chicken as advertised available with another label, and a much higher price. The difference in price on the promotion is R24-00 p/kg (R45-99 versus R69-99). After several remarks and discussions about the matter with managers as well as the owner himself, I give up. There is a new Checkers close by at Castle Gate where I get peace of mind.
