Credit must be given where it's due, especially in a country that's going to the dogs. So it's heartwarming and encouraging to find a retailer that is keeping up with the times and the first world not only with providing us with world class products but most importantly, first class service. I'm a DIYer and prefer corded tools/machines cos I'm old schooled. But recently I took the plunge with Worx tools and it was a big gamble cos they are not well known locally and there was a dumb rumour that they were exiting the country. I was so impressed with their Drill/Driver combo that i got the HydroShot (impressed with videos on YouTube). Then a friend suggested the handheld Chainsaw.....and I was hooked. I waited for them to bring in their NailForce (that nails brads AND staples) and as soon as they did, one of their guys, Dean, got in contact. It was a bit expensive but just then they had a special offer and I grabbed it. The purchase was effortless - no phonecalls, no hassles. Dean did it all. The entire purchase was done from my sofa with my cellphone. I made payment on a Sunday (I think).....it was delivered early Tuesday morning. I'm so used to ****py service that I was seriously surprised when it arrived so quickly. So not only happy with Worx but with Brandroid (and Dean - who can't pronounce my name). The woodworking community is closely knit, so word is going to spread and trust me, South Africans really appreciate good service. The staff at Builders need a lesson or three from you guys.
I appreciate the Checkers Sixty60 app and I feel it would help elderly patients however I was initially disappointed that we were only limited to 30 items instead of by weight of all items or their overall size (considering that they're delivered by motorbikes equipped with those white boxes). I was also disappointed with the lack of variety of items (eg. cold drinks) However what was really annoying is that when I went to the same branch from where the items were sourced an hour later I found the items on the shelf that the app told me were out of stock. Poor app? Lazy workers? Oh and it doesn't seem like the app allows you access to items that are on promotion. Lots of room for improvement.
They were recommended to me by a cousin in the trucking business. I asked for a quote over the web and got a response immediately (other companies responded after a day or two). They gave me an appointment to my convenience and regularly reminded me and even urged me to come in earlier. Although they said the towbar would be fitted in 4 to 4.5 hours it was done within an hour. A few days later I tested it on a lightweight trailer (I'm new to this) and all went well. Thanks Sunil and Nicki.
My second purchase from Audi****line. I saw the SVS Sub for sale late one night and messaged them immediately, via their website, but I guess they were offline so in the morning I tried again and asked for Wade (whom I had dealt with before). He quoted me the sale price even though the sale had ended. Within 30 minutes of messaging I made payment and he started arranging the order immediately. The next morning I was informed it had shipped and the following day I had my sub. That's within 48hours! I think it could have been within 24 hours if there was stock in Durban. That's world class service! No need to phone and explain (I hate talking on a phone...especially at work). I knew what I wanted (did my homework) but still asked Wade and company for advice/suggestions. And they know their stuff. I mean they probably fit in audio into Top Billing type houses yet they care for the little guys like me. And Wade threw in a free cable plus free delivery....really appreciated - any way i can save, I try. Now as for the sub...if you know SVS then nothing I say can do it justice. I mean I'm happy with my Elac UniFi's and Sonos Amp (also from Audico) to chill at night after work like an audiophile. But now and then the little boy in me wants some oomph. And SVS delivers! Even my wife is impressed every time I turn it up. Just grateful to God that small locally owned companies like Audico can provide us with good stuff and amazing service. They were recommended to me by a friend and I've done the same to other friends and colleagues. Who needs a cinema.
This is the service you want. My order was placed online (no need to contact anyone at BPM) and was acknowledged within five minutes. The order was put together in 30 minutes and dispatched a bit later. Tracking was done and delivered on the promised date. And it doesn't even matter how small your order is, you're treated just as well as the big customers. Now coupled with true special offers, what can anyone complain about. (Only maybe Strand Hardware comes close) Good service always wins. Keep it up guys. Cos nobody wants to go to poorly stocked Makro and Builders and deal with arrogant know-jack attendants. Kinda why DionWired went down - and nobody even noticed...wonder why. Enough ranting - thanks Brian and company!
I fail to understand the poor reviews i see here about Audico. I ordered stuff and they were delivered without a glitch. Wade was efficient and even suggested alternatives (one of which i chose). Even though it was a small order (Elac UniFi and Sonos Amp) I felt like i was treated like a wealthy customer. They respond almost immediately on their website chatting portal which comforts you knowing you're making the right decisions. Keep up the good work guys. PS: feel bad for the people that had a poor experience
I always intended to somehow praise the service i received at Strand Hardware because complimenting them on Facebook wasn't enough. I received timely and professional communication from a Mr Pasu Pillay who also recommended alternative products and worked hard to get my order sorted even though he was working under strain with fewer staff during the pandemic. It's service like this that keeps customers coming back. Thanks guys.
