I recently bought items at Cielo in Walmer PE. Unfortunately they do not have stock on site and their warehouse is situated in Sydenham. I was asked to go there the next day to collect as they were not able to arrange delivery to their shop the same day or even for the next morning (I bought the items just after 9am). I do not live in the city so this was another day of planning and traveling for me. Not only is it far away, but the warehouse area feels unsafe. It took almost 40min of waiting in a small reception area for them to find the items in storage. Thereafter we were asked to drive to another location around the corner (not clearly marked) to collect. There we waited another 40min for them to bring the items to us. One item was damaged so it took some more time for them to find a replacement. This has been the most frustrating time consuming experience.
BE CAREFUL. Do not trust these telemarketers!! Lady from rewardsco phoned me today and explained that Vodacom would like to reward me for being n valued client etc etc. Said that I will pay less for the same contract I currently have. After the phonecall I received an sms and viewed the vodacom app...she upgraded my contract for the next 24months and now I will be paying a much higher premium for the same thing. I asked her +- 6 times to confirm that my premium will be less and she said yes. And she said that I will also receive a once off 20gig data as a gift on 1 April. Anyways...now it is costing me a lot of airtime and frustration to reverse this. Don't agree to anything over the phone!!****s.
Worst service I have ever received from a car dealership. I travelled alone with my 3yr old from Port Elizabeth on Thursday 7 December when I experienced mechanical problems. We contacted Land Rover Menlyn to arrange assistance for the next day in Pretoria. We already had an idea of what the fault could be and needed it fixed asap as I still had a long trip ahead over the weekend. Me and my toddler need the vehicle as we don't have any assistance in PTA. I left Bloemfontein early Friday morning to get the car at the shop early for repairs. I thought a job card was already created as I have provided them with all the details they have asked (Vin nr, reg etc). I arrived at Land Rover around 11am on Friday just to be sat down for an hour+ while they take my details again and create a job card. While this was happening it looked like +-80% of the staff was outside next to a braai and consuming alcohol. They informed me that there is no courtesy vehicles available and that they are not sure how long it would take just to do the diagnostic test. So a stressful situation turned into a nightmare. Me not knowing what to do without a vehicle and a tired hungry 3yr old in a city we have never been in before. The entire afternoon I kept phoning for updates but it sounded like they had no idea what was going on. Around 16:30pm I decided to collect my vehicle as I really did need it to continue my journey and it was still driveable. And I knew that I was not going to be helped by Land Rover in time. Dealing with them was just frustrating as no clear answers are ever given. I was charged R3000 for the diagnostic test. The fault was the fuel filter. They quoted for this repair but told me that they are unable to assist because there is a shipping issue and there are no fuel filters available in the entire SA. I was not provided with a statement/invoice of what I paid (till this day) and no one has phoned to follow up on my experience even though I received an sms that said they would. I even had to phone the next day more than once and ask again for them to send me the report of the diagnostic test so that I can show that to the next mechanic in an effort to get my car fixed and have a reliable safe vehicle for me and my daughter to drive in asap. So I left Land Rover with the same issue and R3000 out of pocket. We decided on investing in Land Rover believing their service delivery to be superior and to avoid situations like these. Before this incident we decided on buying the new Defender in January. But after this experience we have decided to buy another brand vehicle entirely.
Pathetic service at Nando's Cape Road, PE. Placed an order via drive thru and was asked to park and wait. After ten minutes of waiting I walked inside as I was in a hurry. It was only 2 hotpots and a prego roll. Waited another few minutes inside and received my packet. On my way to my appointment I realised one hotpot was missing. I had to return to the shop. Waited another +-10 minutes for the second hot pot. At my destination I realised no cutlery was included. In all my "quick" drive thru trip was 45minutes long. And the food was not that great, with a small chewy dry chicken breast on the roll and barely any sauce.
Still waiting for my order...after I received an sms (after 9am) saying my order will arrive before 5pm I made last minute arrangements to be home to receive it. No one arrived. A week later and no delivery yet. I phoned a few times and the call centre kept saying they will check with the couriers and phone me back...but no one phones back. After my last call to them I was informed that the order is on it's way and will be delivered before the end of the day. Once again I made arrangements for this but no one showed...am starting to think I might never see my paid for items.
A 2-day job turned into a 4 week+ nightmare. We believe the contractor purposefully mislead us and under-quoted to get the job (but not by much). We paid 70% deposit and R500 in advance. In the end we were extorted for money and paid him in full on day 7. He walked out on the job on day 9 when we disagreed on 33% extra he wanted us to pay for extra costs incurred due to his teams mistakes and poor project planning. Every day brought new problems, shortcuts, lies and excuses. Our engineer had to consult with him early on to explain to him that what he is doing is improper building practice as he is unapproachable and our concerns and advice was being dismissed. He has in actual fact never worked with his team before, and is rarely on site to supervise and inspect the work. The team are not s****ed in the services he is advertising (in our case: painting, cladding, waterproofing and tiling). They also buy at expensive vendors and do not receive any discounts (his adverti*****ts are thus false). Parts of our home and equipment they borrowed from us was left damaged and extremely dirty. No rubble was ever removed. The projects remain unfinished. Worst service we have ever received from a building contractor. https://www.cylex.net.za/compa…/zl-contracting-19105479.html https://www.yellowpages.co.za/business/16969981_2
