I had a deeply disappointing experience with this company. When I called to inquire about a product they had sold, I was met with unexpected hostility. Giam was abrupt and irritable from the start. Upon asking why he seemed so agitated, I was met with profanity and abruptly disconnected before I could specify which parts I needed. Subsequent attempts to reach them have been unsuccessful. This level of unprofessionalism and disrespect towards customers is unacceptable. Based on this interaction, I strongly advise potential customers to seek services elsewhere.

As a guest at the Jack Rose Hotel, I was eager to explore the culinary offerings of their on-site restaurant, The Rose Bud. Unfortunately, my dining experience fell far short of expectations, leaving me thoroughly disappointed. First and foremost, the ambiance was lacking. Despite the hotel's elegant decor, The Rose Bud felt outdated and uninspired. The lighting was too dim, casting a gloomy atmosphere over the entire dining area. Combined with the lack of any discernible background music, the ambiance felt more akin to a dated cafeteria than a refined dining establishment. The service was equally underwhelming. Our waiter seemed disinterested and inattentive, barely acknowledging our presence throughout the meal. It took an eternity for our orders to be taken, and even longer for the food to arrive. When it finally did, it was clear that haste had taken precedence over quality. We asked for the manager, Ian Coetzee, but he told us that's just the way it is, and if we don't like it, no one is holding a gun to our heads, forcing us to stay and eat there. The menu boasted an array of supposedly gourmet dishes, but the reality fell short. The presentation was lackluster, with each plate appearing hastily thrown together. Worse still was the taste—or lack thereof. The flavors were bland and uninspired, lacking the depth and complexity one would expect from a restaurant associated with a luxury hotel. It was as if the chef had completely forgotten the importance of seasoning and balance. To add insult to injury, the prices were exorbitant given the subpar quality of the food and service. It felt like a blatant attempt to capitalize on the hotel's reputation rather than deliver a genuinely satisfying dining experience. In conclusion, I cannot in good conscience recommend The Rose Bud Restaurant to fellow guests of the Jack Rose Hotel. With its lackluster ambiance, indifferent service, and mediocre cuisine, it fails to live up to the standards expected of a hotel dining establishment. Save your money and seek out dining options elsewhere.
My recent encounter with Jack Rose Hotel was disappointingly the worst business interaction I've ever had. Right from the start, it was evident that customer service wasn't a priority for them. Ian Coetzee, the manager I dealt with, was exceptionally rude and impatient. His confrontational and argumentative attitude left me feeling unwelcome and disrespected, which is unacceptable treatment for a first-time guest. To add insult to injury, when I expressed my dissatisfaction with his behavior, he abruptly told me to "go elsewhere." This kind of unprofessionalism from Jack Rose Hotel is appalling. What's even more concerning is that this doesn't seem to be an isolated incident. A quick look at their reviews on HelloPeter reveals numerous complaints about their poor service. It's surprising that management hasn't taken any action to address this issue. In conclusion, I strongly advise against doing business with Jack Rose Hotel. Their terrible customer service and lack of concern for client satisfaction make them a waste of time and money. And as for Ian Coetzee, perhaps some time off would do him and the company some good.
I know people don't often leave reviews for good service, but often only when there's something to complain about. Just wanted to say thank you - what we ordered is what we received. Very fast delivery in 3 days. And our questions regarding suitability were answered beforehand. We'll be back. Thanks
Absolutely useless courier company. I book between 1-5 collections every day. Collections are only booked once stock is ready, but almost every second day, they fail to collect! Then they lie and make up excuses like, "parcel wasn't ready", or "close when driver arrived" - because the drivers "arrive" after closing. Both operations staff and drivers lack any idea of service. No response to complaints. Each year they just get worse and worse. Among the absolutely useless ops people, who don't give a damn are: Francois Swart, Keanan Bush, Eamonn Campbell, Tiaan Storbeck, Schalk Lubbe, Blaine Curling, Enrico Pretorius, Antion Pillay, and even Stephen Gleisner. If you want more failed collections than any other courier service, then use these idiots.
They WILL DAMAGE or LOSE your garments! Don't trust the 5 star fake reveiws, which I made the mistake of doing. Firstly, the staff do not wear masks at all when dealing with customers. 3 x visits and all 3 X times no masks are worn while they stand 50cm from you. Took 3 expensive ladies jackets there for dry cleaning. I explicitly told them to note that 2 X jackets have been sent in with belts and please don't LOSE the belts. I was told they would be ready after 1.5 days and they will SMS me. 2 days later, no SMS, so I went there and still not ready. 3 days later, no SMS, so I go there and still not ready. Keep being told they will SMS you. 6 days later, no SMS, so I drive there again. This time we are told the jackets are back, and they were actually here on day 3 when they told me that they were not back yet. Now they say the reason they haven't SMS or called us is because they have LOST the belt for the one jacket. They say they are trying to find out where it is and will arrange for it to be returned back to the store and then they will let us know. After 6 days of waiting we now tell them to make sure that it is back and ready for collection later the same day (day 6). Later on the same day, I now get a call telling me that they didn't LOSE the belt, but they actually BROKE the belt buckle on the expensive H&M wool jacket. They say they are going to drive to town to try and find a buckle that they can use and they will "let me know". Apparently the owner is "Zandile", who up until now has still not apologised for anything! I went to collect the jackets with the one belt still missing. To date I still have not received the belt. Unfortunately this jacket can't we worn without the belt. No apology. No refund. Absolutely rude. Don't know anything about customer service and do not take responsibility for anything. DON'T take your clothes there. You will regret it.
