I have endless problems with Mara pharmacy. They don't send your chronic medication on time then they agree that i can buy the medication at my local pharmacy and refund me. After i have send them 3 times the prove they now ignore me. This months medication is already over due. I contacted them this morning 12/03/2026 but was told that i must pay a co payment on my chronic medication and that is a lie. I have never paid a co payment before. They also have a whutsup group that does not work because they do not return your calls. Bonita's force us to use marara pharmacy that is totally useless and do not care about your and my health.
On friday the 27/02/2026 myself and 3 others was ******. I was lucky to hide my phone. One of the other gents used my phone to contact Nedbank to block his cards. After that call Nedbank blocked my cards and my phone number. I have phoned numeral times and spend 1 hour yesterday at the 28/02/2026 at the branch to rectify this but to no avail. Nedbank keeps my account blocked. I did not request to have my account blocked. When i phone i get different answers and they even cut me off. It is the end of the month and i have things to pay, but the bank don't care. My account was blocked in minutes why cant they unblock in minutes.
be careful off marara pharmacy they don't supply you with your chronic medication then they agree that you can buy it at your local pharmacy and that they will refund you but they DONT REFUND. They also send different medication with names that i don't know but do not inform you what are they meant for. Emails don't help
Be careful of marara pharmacy. They don't send your medication on time then i had to buy at a local Pharmacy. They agreed to pay for the medication that i had to buy but they do not refund me this is chronic medication. they also charge me for chronic medication that my medical aid pay for. Now they don't want to give me my chronic medication before i pay my account. I asked for the account but they don't even answer me.
Please be beware of Bonita's medical aid. They do not explain to you that when using the hospital option after hours that you must obtain authorization. I went to the hospital because i had a terrible pain in my head and was not aware that i must have authorization nor did the hospital inform me about this fine print rule. They also do not reply on E Mails. I believe that this is unfair and that they should pay the account. I also app**** for medication to be added to my chronic via E. Mail they did not even answer me.
Be careful of bonnitas medical fund. They give you a option to go see a doctor at a emergency room after hours when doctors are closed for the day but they refuse to pay for the treatment. They claim that i did not get authorization. If you are in pain authorization is the last thing on your mind. M. van Graan
I have a problem with Bonita's medical aid they lie and keep on lying. They are deducting more money than what they should. I complained and they ignored my mail, then i posted on this forum and they responded fast. They admitted they are wrong and request if i want a refund or the difference deducted from my next payment. i said deduct from my next payment. This morning i get a notification that they deducted the wrong amount again. For this year they have deducted R785.00 to much. Now i wonder how many people are they deducting to much and for how long. i would also like to know how much have they deducted from me in the past that is wrong. I also have various other problems with them e.g. not paying the dentist in full i must now pay the dentist 25% of his fees. I had to have a procedure done at the Dr rooms, i got the ref no from them and then they deducted it off my day to day. when i phoned them i was told i had no ref no. Later they admitted that there is a ref no and refunded into my day to day account but not the full amount. Please people monitor your bonnitas medical account. I also think that the people that work there and the medical fund don't care about the members. Ref no 300425QXF3 mail received that stated that they will rectify was from Noxolo Makalela M. van Graan
bonnitas are deducting more than what my employer said. i have contacted them but they are not responding to my e mail.
My tv keeps freezing and then a message comes up (no signal) I have reported it to them many times at the local branch but they ignore me.
Deducting more monthly from me than they should and when i contact them via e mail they do not answer me.
