I went to this dealership to look at some cars. One of the sales reps assisted me. We proceeded to the demo section and there was a Mazda 2 that I liked. The mileage on the paper stuck on the car said 2500 km. I was quite surprised that the price was so good for an almost brand new demo vehicle especially Mazda so I was quite interested. Then when we actually checked it was closer to 11,000 km. The sales rep told me to put down a holding deposit. First he said R5k then he said even R1k would work. So that no one else takes the car while I'm deciding. So I did transfer the money. He tried to pressure me into financing through the dealership even after I told him that I wanted to finance through my own bank. He proceeded to add a bunch of items on my quote other than the most necessary things like tyre and dent repairs etc. I asked why these were added because he didn't ask me if I wanted it. While my bank was busy with the podium of approval etc. I did tell him that there were too many extras and I felt that it was a bit unreasonable and asked if the dealership could perhaps offer a discount. He said they could only offer discounts if I were to finance through them. While I was waiting for my bank on the financing side, he sent me a bunch of revised quotes, taking things out - again without asking me if I wanted him to remove them. It was not a discount, he was just removing all the add ons. He never asked my opinion on what I wanted. I felt like I was pressured into taking on all the add ons and when I mentioned that it felt like alot, then he didn't ask me again, just took things off. Once I got feedback from my bank, I realised that I didn't want to take this car anymore, because of all the add ons, I was going to be paying alot more than I expected. So I told the sales rep that I was no longer interested and would like to get my holding deposit back. But before I paid, no one told me to acknowledge that I would not get my money back. He went on about how there were other customers interested in the car and it was taken off the market for a week. It was literally taken off for 1 week. I only test drove it after I paid the R1K holding deposit. He then tried to send me deals of other cars and I proceeded to tell him I am no longer interested and that he should refund me. He refused saying that it's company policy that I cannot get my money back since they had some invisible "losses" due to the car being off the market for a week. I was quite upset and called multiple times regarding this. They did not get back to me and still held to this policy that I didn't sign up for. What if my holding deposit was more than this R1K ?Would I be forced to buy something that I realised I did not want because of that? I would be forced into buying a R400k car because of my R1K holding deposit. That's such a joke. The service was terrible. The sales rep was obnoxious and I do not recommend anyone go visit this dealership and especially do not deal with this sales rep in particular. They lure you in with incorrect information on the car and then everything keeps changing once you show them that you are a little bit interested. You'll end up paying double the price of the car that you thought was a "good" deal. I am very sour, not because I lost the R1K but because they really didn't treat me in a respectful, professional manner. It's been almost 2 months since this and everyone that I called said they would get back to me but they did not. Guess I paid R1k in school fees. I learnt my lesson. Never ever going back to this nonsense money hungry dealership that obviously really "needs" my R1K. Perhaps he can keep it for the sales that he will be losing out on. A small compensation from me.
We went to the Papachinos in Stoneridge about a week ago for breakfast. We were basically chased out. We got there from the Virgin Active gym holding a Kauai smoothie. However, we were going to Papachinos for breakfast. I will not forget how rude they were towards us as soon as we got there. They told us that we are not allowed to bring our drinks in. And if we took took them in, we weren't allowed to drink them in the restaurant. My mom asked if they didn't welcome us and they looked at each other not knowing how to respond. Then a waiter seated us so we thought it was all okay. A few minutes later, after my mom had decided on her breakfast and drink, the manager Sydney came to us. He insisted that we change our cups since Kauai is their competitor and that similar drinks are sold at Papachinos. So my mom agreed. In the next sentence the manager said that they would have to charge us corkage! The cheek! I didn't understand their problem. If they have issues with us taking drinks from other places in, there should be formal written information everywhere. We felt so unwelcome and uncomfortable like they were trying to chase us out. When my mom decided that we were going to have to cancel what we ordered and leave, the manager seemed glad to let us go saying "Cheers guys". I'm sorry. The Stoneridge Papachinos has bad service actually. The waiters are extremely rude and arrogant. My sister (aged 15) and her friends ate there and when they paid, they asked for the change since they already budgeted a tip and change. The waiter said that it's his tip otherwise they will have to go wash the dishes. It's a pity there were no adults there to tell him off. The waiters are ungrateful and hardly say thank you like you have to give them a tip - mind you you probably do have to otherwise they'll make you feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. And if you give them a tip they still won't be satisfied! I have had bad experiences with the waiters and managers at the Stoneridge Papachinos and will never go back there again. I wouldn't even recommend going there even for the food or the environment because the service just puts you off. We went there to give them business and in this time (COVID) they still have the nerve to treat customers like this. But it fits their profile. Arrogant and rude. Will see how long they last if they continue like this.
It was the first time I used Paxi. To be honest, the experience wasn't all bad. It was quite reasonably priced and arrived a day earlier than I expected. The system where I could track was also quite decent. I received SMSes when the parcel was sent out and I also received an SMS when it arrived at the chosen PEP store. However, what I was really quite upset about was the lady at PEP who helped me with my parcel. I was excited to collect my parcel and everything seemed convenient until I got there. She was extremely rude to me. (PEP Greenstone might I add) She asked me for my delivery pin and I thought it was the tracking number at first so I showed her this. She replied very rudely saying: "The PIN". So I realised that they did send me an SMS before and it might contain the pin. She then suspiciously asked me, also very rudely while I was looking for the SMS, how I did it and didn't I receive an SMS while I was looking for it. From the beginning when I got there to the moment I left, she seemed really reluctant to help and was extremely rude. Another thing that I was unhappy with was the fact that my parcel packaging had holes in it. It looked like someone tried to dig in it. Luckily the person who sent it to me had wrapped everything in a box because if anything was loose it would've gone missing. As a whole, I felt Paxi's courier part of things was very efficient and convenient. But the end part where I collected was a terrible experience and I didn't appreciate the attitude from the lady that assisted me.
Our company had a campaign with IOL. We made full payment and the Facebook account manager agreed to assist us with our deadlines. Every time we had to follow up with them. They also knew that we were doing the campaign with other countries and we ended up being the only country that didn't meet our deadline. Even a whole 2 weeks after the end of the campaign they still didn't complete our campaign and kept saying we didn't send the files in the correct format, when we just resent it in the same format the first time for all the ones they posted previously. They even mentioned that there were technical problems as to why we couldn't have our posts posted on time. Before which, they kept promising it would be posted at 11am, then 12 pm then technical issues. We then complained and opted for a refund. Over a month later, we still haven't received our refund. Absolutely terrible service that we received from them. They do a great job for your first post and then afterwards you have to keep following up asking if they've received the material as they don't feedback on time. Would not recommend them at all. It's really bad that IOL chose Volt Africa to do their Facebook or perhaps we just weren't big enough customers for them to care enough about.
There have been numerous occasions where I would keep getting the wrong order or there would be missing items. The first few times I complained, I got coupons which kept me quiet. The worst was Fish Aways. 8/10 times they can't get their orders correct. If it's not the wrong sauce then they don't give you your sauce or what you ordered. (The sauce that you pay for btw. ) After a certain amount of times you complain... and not for fun might I add, Mr Delivery just sent me a message to say they are investigating and for a whole week they haven't updated me. I mean if they delivered the correct items, there would be no need for me to complain in the first place. I feel that I should be getting what I pay for, is that difficult to understand ?
