On Monday afternoon, I went into Dischem at Westville Junction. I was appalled how the shop was in disarray. I went to get some gluten free flour mix, as I was wanting to make some bread. When I got to the till it was a completely different price to what was on the shelf. So I went back to the shelf to discover that it was under vanilla cake mix and there was no pricing for the self raising flour. I mentioned this to a staff member that was standing there and she looked at me with a complete blank look on her face. I then had to repeat myself about 5 times until she actually understood what I was saying. The cashier also came and managed to assist. Every gluten free product was in the incorrect place which therefore gave incorrect pricing. All the products were also all mixed up and the staff had no clue how to correct them. Eventually they took the prices off and were going to try and see if they could correct it. Not one person apologised for the mess until I actually said it would be nice if someone apologised.The staff were also so unfriendly. Not one person greeted when I walked in and not one person approached me to ask if they could assist me in anyway. I was disappointed and appalled that this is how Dischem treat their customers.
I bought a hamster cage from Bon Appetit Pet shop at the Pavilion on the 3rd of September. In less than a week it had broken. They refuse to fix it or replace it, so I had to fix it myself. Once again in less than 2 weeks. The cage has broken in the exact same spot. The owner of the company was actually very rude to me in the WhatsApp he sent me. The cage cost me R795, so nothing should break in such a short time. I have looked at the cage and it is poorly manufactured. There are so many flaws in the cage, I don't know how people have not seen them. None of the pieces actually even fit together properly!!! I bought a cage from Takealot for R179 and the R179 cage is of far superior quality than the R795 cage!!! I'm appalled at the attitude that I received from the owner and I will never recommend the shop to anyone.
I have been studying with Oxbridge for the last 3 years and the quality of support to their students has just got worse each and every year. Nobody can answer your questions, and if they do all they actually do is ask you the question you asked them to clarify. You are not recognised as a student if you are studying distantly. Each person on the staff only cares about themselves. As a student continuing to study, I was told that I would get discount, well this has never happened. I've queried it on more than one occasion and after a year I'm still waiting for an answer!!!! Each person in each department have no clue what they are doing as well as they have no idea of what is happening in the other departments. I'm not sure how a college can be run like this!!! The 'I' in the company seems to be very big. There is absolutely no TEAM work. I have also approached DHET for assistance, but they are just as laxidazical and uninterested as Oxbridge. No matter which department I speak to they have no idea how to answer my questions for that department. I had to remind them for over 6 months regarding my certificate and then they still send it to the wrong place, I have been speaking to them for months now regarding where I'm going to write my exam in November and I'm still waiting for an answer. I'm tired of fighting and complaining, but unfortunately this seems to be the only way to get action.
Yesterday afternoon I went to the BP Umbilo Road service station. Now I am frequently there to put petrol in or for convenience to get something to eat and drink or to buy a take away. I went in yesterday to get ice cream as I'd been in on Thursday evening wanting a soft serve ice cream and I couldn't get one as get this, they had no ice cream. They promised me that even if I came in the evening yesterday I would get my soft serve ice cream. So I went in just after 4 pm and there was no ice cream once again. Why was there no ice cream? The boss had decided that because the weather was cooler noone would come in for ice cream and the machine must be cleaned!!! I understand that the machine needs to be cleaned, but since when do people not eat ice cream when it is cold!!!!!! This is a continuous thing with their take away. You can go in at 8 in the morning and they don't have what you want as it is already finished. Actually most days you can go in at anytime of the day and not get the take away you want. The boss's comment to me yesterday was: We can't have everything all the time!!! Ummm. If you are a take away you should have everything all the time. I'm shocked that a company like this has such a bad attitude. I have also seen besides there take away issue, the lack of compassion they have for their staff in the forecourt. They don't treat them respectively. This to me is shocking.
At the end of April, my mom went into Joleys and purchased a pair of shoes, which she was told were on promotion and therefore she will be getting them cheaper. Now my mom is 88 and it isn't easy to get to the shops as she lives in a retirement village and can only catch the bus when they go which is on a Wednesday once a week and they have a limited time to do their shopping. Anyway so she bought these shoes and went home. When she got home she tried them on again and found that they didn't fit. Now she was going away so she couldn't get back to Joleys, but as soon as she was back from her holiday she went to Joleys with her shoes in the box, which had the shoe type on as well as it had Joleys name on the box, but she unfortunately had misplaced the slip. When she got there, they tell her they won't take them back because they were sale shoes and she has no slip. These were not sale shoes, they were on promotion. There is a difference between sale and promotion!!!! Not sure if the staff know that? My mom tells them she will take another pair of shoes and she is even willing to pay in the difference of the other shoes, but they refuse point blank, that they won't take them back without the slip. So she says that other shops would and they tell her no place will take anything back without the slip. Joleys you need to know if you are prepared to take anything in exchange they will. They then laugh at my mom when she walks out. I then got involved and had an unpleasant experience with both the staff at the shop as well as at their head office, where at the head office, the lady who I was speaking to actually put the phone down on me!!!!!! This is shocking behaviour and can't believe a place such as Joleys with such a renowned way would act in this way. I'm shocked and disgusted that Joleys staff have deteriorated to such a degree. I'm shocked that they would laugh at an elderly lady. I'm shocked that they could be so rude and put the phone down on someone who might be a would be client. I then phoned back again and tried to speak to the owner of Joleys and my call was ignored. Joleys many people have now heard of this bad service and many more will be hearing about it. I actually understand now why most of the time why there are very rarely people in your shop.
Good day I have just been ****med out of money by someone claiming to be Dimco finance. Unfortunately I saw the rightful owners review to late!!! I was contacted by someone by the name of Margaret Moses(if that is her real name) and I gave away my money unwittingly. I have even said I'd go to the police and she is not interested. She has my money and refuses to give it back. I phoned all the telephone numbers on their so called website and none of them go through. They just go to answering machine. I wish I'd seen the review earlier as she is very convincing.
I have been battling with Tradewind global UK since last Wednesday to get money out of them after a competition I entered on Facebook. I have been dealing with a lady by the name of Olivia Mia. She is the biggest ****mers out. They say they will pay into pay wallet on Facebook. This is very wrong in the first place as they go into your Facebook page which is ******* and then as I explained to her numerous times that pay wallet only works with credit cards she wouldn't hear of it. I actually blocked my Facebook from her as she wanted my I. D and many other things that are ******* to request. Then she asked for my banking account, which is also a red flag, but because I don't have much money in my account I gave it to her as she promised me on Friday night that she would do an immediate payment into my bank account. Well, I asked her on Saturday evening when she was paying me and she said she'll be paying me tomorrow, which was yesterday, which was Sunday. Then I kept asking during the day as nothing happened. She then comes back to me and says that because I blocked her on my Facebook I have to ask one of my friends for their user names so she can pay me. This is after I have many messages on Friday night saying she is doing an immediate payment and it will be coming soon. I also asked her many times why she couldn't pay it to a money market account, which she was unable to answer. Olivia Mia of Tradewind Global is the biggest scanner and **** I have come across for a long time. Oh, yes her constant comment is 'trust me'. What a ****
On the 25th of May I went into Dischem and was very excited to see that they had glutagon gluten free all variant mixes for R48. 95 if you had a card and it was on until the 9th of June. I have a gluten allergy and was very pleased because it costs a lot of money to live gluten free. Anyway, on Monday the 3rd of June I went into the Musgrave Dischem and there was no special, so I then had to try and find someone to ask them about it and they knew nothing about it. They then called a supervisor who also had no clue about the special. No surely if you work in the store you should know about there specials!!! Oh yes and I wasn't even greeted by Christine the supervisor. She came to assist me and was actually so unfriendly as well. Anyway they had to go and try and find pamphlets with the specials on. Now when I went in on the 25th there was a purple and white piece of card with the special on, when I went in on the 3rd there was no sign at all. On the 25th the sign fell off the shelf and I put it back on top of a box. When Christina spoke to me she said it was only on certain cake mixes, but on the purple card it said all variants. Anyway Christine suggested we speak to the store manager. We went and found Me****h the store manager, who also by the way didn't even greet me. All his response was in a very abrupt way was to say: "it is not on special we can't give it to you". So I put my basket down and walked out the shop. When I came home I phoned and laid a complaint about false advertising as well as about the staff at Musgrave Dischem. I was told I'd get some response from someone regarding my complaint. Well, yesterday I phoned customer care as I still hadn't received any information and I was promised that today between 12:15 & 12:45 I would receive a phone call. Well, I never received any phone calls. So I phoned again and said I'd heard nothing so I told them I was going to write a review and all of a sudden at about 16:05 I had an email, saying that they were on the line with the store when they were supposed have phoned me. I'd been promised first thing this morning they'd phone the store. So why were they only on the phone at 12:15 when they were supposed to have phoned at 9this morning? Now I get told I'll be contacted tomorrow. I doubt it will happen. This is now a week that you haven't bothered. I'm very frustrated with the outcome as there is no outcome!!! Dischem get your act together. I want those variants of the glutagon as originally advertised and I want them before Sunday, which is when the special ends. Actually for the inconvenience that you have caused me they should actually be free!!!!!
So I bank with Capitec and like anything in life you have your good and bad experiences. Capitec have been good, but I have found that they have a 'downside' to them. I have been trying to apply for a credit card through Capitec for I don't know how long. I go into the bank and every time they say no, but they'll give me a loan, which I don't find hoe that makes sense. Any way I have also app**** online through the App, but it says no. BUT!!!! I went onto the finance companies looking for what bank might give me a credit card. And guess what? Yes, Capitec email me and tell me that I have qualified for a credit card. How do I qualify for a credit card through my email address and the details I give online, which are the same as those at the bank but I don't qualify through the bank. This makes no sense. Please explain!!!!
I've been trying to join discovery Bank for a while. Today I almost managed to, but I couldn't because the app doesn't work on my phone or on my tablet. Therefore I was told I couldn't join them because I have to put my documents onto the app. Why can't I email them? No it only works with the app. This is ************** as you are only allowing certain people to access the platform!!!! There are many other people out there who also want to join and can't because of the same problem. I was told when you get a new phone, you can then join discovery Bank, totally discriminating. I'm appalled that such a service is so arrogant about their products!! I don't plan on getting a new phone at anytime. Not everyone is on contracts. I don't have a contract and don't want a contract. Discovery your name has now been *****ed!!
