I expressed my concern regarding a transaction that took place on the 4th of October 2025 at Shoprite Sunnypark in Sunnyside, Pretoria. I attempted to make a purchase of approximately R240 using two different bank cards. The first transaction of R190 on my Capitec card was successfully processed. When I attempted to pay the remaining balance with my second card, I realized that it had insufficient funds. The cashier assisting me advised that she would reverse the R190 transaction and that the money would reflect in my account within five minutes. I waited for more than five minutes, but the refund did not reflect in my bank account. I returned to the store the following day to report the issue and was asked to provide my bank statement, which I did. I was informed that the matter would be referred to the head office for further investigation. It has now been 11 days since the incident, and I still have not received the refund of R190. I would appreciate it if they’d provide an update on the status of this refund and explain what is causing the delay. I have been to store multiple times and the only answer I get is that they are waiting for an answer from the head office. Surely it can’t take that long for Shoprite to do right by their customer.
I have been a loyal tenant of FPT for over a decade. Throughout this period, I have consistently honoured my rental obligations without missing a single payment. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to pay rent for one month. However, I promptly informed FPT of my situation and assured them that I would settle the outstanding amount in full, along with the following month’s rent. Regrettably, instead of showing understanding or empathy, they proceeded to disconnect my electricity. I understand they do not run a charity case but as someone who has been paying well for the past years I expected them to be more understanding.
My experience was not so pleasant. On the 1st of December 2023 The sister that was meant to deliver my baby was somehow not in a good mood that day. She was so rude and disrespectful towards me. She humiliated me by making sure everyone in the ward knows that I passed faeces, they all laughed and she kept telling them not to come close coz it smells in the room I was delivering in. She made me carry my bags from one room to the other while walking, mind you I was in severe labour pains. While walking to the other room I couldn’t contain the edge of pushing so faeces kept coming out and she literally made me clean after myself while in labour( I literally cleaned the floor while in labour) the pains were so bad and I was made to clean after myself. That was thee most horrible experience of my life. While removing **** on floor my prayer was to deliver my baby safely bcoz I couldn’t contain the edge of pushing
I sent an EFT to a wrong bank. Instead of sending to Capitec I sent it to CITIBANK. I was told to wait 24hrs the money will reverse automatically, if it doesn’t then I must forget. But if it does come back they will charge me R116 😳 what in the name of day light robbery is that? That is a lot of money to charge for a mere mistake.
when I moved in, the flat was a mess, cupboards were falling, the flat was not painted, the wardrobe handles were not inserted, plugs were not working and some rooms had no lights on. I felt like crying coz they promised that everything will be set when I move in. I don't wanna talk abt the level of noise that's allowed in those flats. people are allowed to make noise until 4am in the morning. i have not slept since I rented that place. I cannot wait for my contract to end so I can move out. honestly for me they don't deserve even a star
