Please DO NOT use these guys to tow your car from an accident, wether you it can drive or not. They dont take your car to an assessment centre as they say, but rather to their storage yard in Pretoria west, and then hold you ransom of R10,000 (towed Sat and tried to collect Monday) to release the vehicle. Extremely rude to deal with and no regard to the basics of any legal process.
DISSAPOINTED! There is merit to this method of finding your missing pet, but Healthy Hound make you believe that there is a high success rate and play a bit on your very desperate emotions, as in our circumstances, and it was a bit of a farce in the end. We paid an upfront amount of R3580, before they even consider coming out. Very difficult to communicate with them, and also unresponsive (only reply if you insist many times), but they came anyway on a Saturday (after a couple of days we first contacted tehm), to hunt for our missing cat. The dogs apparently took a scent (we are in large security estate) and we were off down the road, and up some other roads - a very unlikely route for a cat to travel along the roads, and after a while they said, the dogs are tired, let’s go try somewhere else. So we took them all (dogs included) to where our cat was possibly spotted by fellow residents (an office park) for the dogs to sniff around (many other feral cats in this area) and they said this is positive and our cat has definitely been there. Then after a while they gave up and said they think they will come the next day, They left and did not want to commit on when they will come the next day. The next day (Sunday) no one pitched, and we try to communicate with to ask when will they come and nothing, until many retries, they responded that they can come on a Tuesday at 7:00am, which was not ideal as it would be easier to search on a Sunday when all was quiet. We tried to contact them further an arrange a sooner time, but there was not a response at all from them. Furthermore when we asked them in one of our many attempts to get them out on Sunday, if the second spot we took them to was a likely place our cat could be, the answer was a bit different ro the day before, saying no, they don’t think so, as the scents there were too contaminated. So feel a bit **********, and played a bit on our emotions, and actually was a bit angry, as it took our time away to search for our cat in other methods. They will tell you that there is no guarentee, but there dogs know immediately from smelling in your house which animal is missing and that they will find that specific animal (sounded a bit sketchy) and also told that they have a high success rate in estates, especially with cats They spendt 2 hours humouring us and augmenting their story with many untruths and then left and did not come back again or give any useful info if a scent of our cat was even found.
This disappointing and unprofessional engagement involves the sale of a second hand vehicle (Mini Cooper S). We were mid flight in sales deal with Motus Honda East Rand Auto for a vehicle (as a cash buyer) with a signed quote. The only item outstanding (and condition) was a request from us to Motus for a service record from the dealer. This agreement took place on a Friday, shortly after a test drive was offered by the staff at Motus, which incidentally was meant to happen the day before (we were stood up). We were all ready to conclude the purchase (subject to the service record checking out), not to be told a couple of hours later that the car has been made available to someone else who has had their finance approved?? Sorry for us, your effort and time of a sales agreement means nothing. Escalated this to the highest level of Motus, CEO, Osman Arbee, and after waiting the for a response on Monday, eventually get told, oh, sorry the vehicle is sold to someone else. Either these guys just don't want to do business while following a professional process, or are just apathetic and slack, as there is definitely a taste of "I just don't care about you or any new prospective customers". I am actually glad in the end the deal did not go ahead, as there is no knowing of what other issues might have cropped up. Advice: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE....
As with some other members, I too, am so disappointed with Vitality. I have been with this company for close to 20 years and also just discovered to my horror that we will miss our Diamond status because of new rules and the system reflecting incorrect points. Essentially I was blind on what points we needed to achieve by the end of December 2020. I have Discovery Medical aid, Insurance and banking also. Very unhappy customer and will be moving all of these Discovery products. Looking forward to new medical aid, new insurance, new rewards program in the new year.
