I bought 8 day / nigh light bulbs recently at ACDC Express, Centurion. Not one worked as they all flickered. I called ACDC and they told me to bring them in for testing. I did so on 18 September 2025. They found the same problem. However, they first told me no refunds. When I insisted, as I already bought other bulbs, they said I would only be reimbursed for the ones I had the carton box around the bulbs, as the manufacturer would not accept it - they are the manufacturers as their logo appears on the bulbs!!! They therefore only reimbursed 3 bulbs and said that I can only exchange the others for the similar bulbs - then they said I must come back as they did not have stock!! I took my money for the 3 bulbs and left, leaving the other bulbs there. Hvaing been there more than an hour to try and resolve, no manager came out and I was left dealing with junior staff running between me and their managers.......!!!
I have bought a new Suzuki Baleno for my wife two two months ago at BB Suzuki in Hatfield Pretoria. We drove it slowly until 1 000km to keep the revs below 4 000 rpm so as to properly run it in. We at first notice a sort of dead spot after changing gears, which become more noticeable when we drove it a bit more eagerly after 1 000 km, especially between first and second gear. We took it in to BB Suzuki beginning December 2022 - they insisted that the diagnostics revealed nothing and claimed they could not compare it to other Balenos as none had came in for services as yet given the fact that the specific model was relevant new in SA. They suggested it be a Suzuki SA problem but to date no-one has made any further contact. Not sure if other drivers experience the same problem but definitely very poor or non-existing service with not even a proper attempt to resolve an issue on a brand-new vehicle!
I am writing on behalf of a dear 93 years old friend. Her Telkom line has not been working for 2 months now and despite her efforts, she cannot cancel the Telkom line and has to continue to pay for this from her pension. Telkom has been at her house and then claim to have fixed it but refuses to disconnect it. The telephone line is in her late husband's name with telephone number 0128073205.
On 12 September 2020 my dad, a pensioner, bought a computer package deal from Vodacom through their telemarketing - Order No 1-34782811956912+1 and Invoice No K2201037. The computer was promptly delivered the next day at their premises. My dad could not afford the monthly payments as he is a pensioner and promptly cancelled the deal the same day by phoning Vodacom - the package was never opened. Until today, more than 3 months later, and despite numerous calls to Vodacom, which calls were also escalated, the package was never collected and the deal never cancelled, resulting in the monthly payments being collected from my dad's bank account. This places my dad in a dire financial position and my calls to Vodacom on his behalf resulted in the same lack of any action, leaving my dad in a dire financial position!!
