I am absolutely shocked by the gross level of incompetence of this well known organization. I submitted a claim for an unclaimed benefit August 2025, since then I have been calling and chasing Alexander Forbes to follow up on this claim. No feedback. Even when you call, the feedback is different with each operator. *****. Then SARS issued a tax directive for this claim, I couldn't declare it because I haven't received it as Forbes won't give me my money. They say the claim is valid but I guess they'll just hold on to it just because. Number 2 there's no tax certificate received from them. Absolutely disgusted by this level of service from these people!

I have requested for Standard Bank Home Loans department to provide me with a home loan confirmation that I need to submit to my life insurance service provider, I haven't received a single response in terms of when I am to receive it.. Their automated reply said they would respond in 48 hours .. still nothing! They were supposed to send me home loan statements on a quarterly basis (to the quarter ended June 2023), it is now July 2023 and I have received nothing from them. The banker informed me that they would call and I have been waiting for that call all day. I am appalled at such atrocious service to their clients because now they are holding up my insurance. What a useless department!
Plain food, excessively overpriced. When we got the bill, the ****tail I'd ordered was charged at incorrect price (different from the price that I had seen on the drinks menu that the waitress had given me initially). I enquired with the waitress why there was a difference as I'd thought they'd made a mistake. She then brought a drinks menu with the higher price (exactly as the price on the bill). I thought maybe I'd made a mistake or overlooked something. Today my friend shows me the online menu for the exact ****tail I'd ordered and the price is the lower one that I'd seen on the first menu the waitress had given me. Basically I was scammed! And I don't know how that waitress managed to get a second menu with different, much more inflated prices. I would even take a picture of the bill but unfortunately that scheming woman took the bill cos she knew exactly what she was doing. Absolutely horrible experience at the Bungalow!!!!
