Twice I have had geyser first bursting, then leaking in 13 months. They refuse to pay out extensive cupboard damage both times and only part of the geyser expenses, stating that the damage was "wear and tear" when it clearly is not. Busy with Ombudsman.
Even though I had only been insured for a month and had not completed all the necessary documentation, the lady helping me went out of her way to get my claim through until 6pm on a Friday evening!
1 is too high a rating for this inept company. Not only did they give a bad service and failed to keep me properly informed, but they CAUSED my old cat to have to be retained in quarantine, as last minute it became apparent they had not done the paperwork needed, and he was in awful condition when I finally got him (no bedding, hungry, sick with snuffles, smelling and soaked in his own urine, etc.) and traumatised. On top of that I incurred a huge amount of unnecessary expenses including vet bills. Do not subject your pet to them.
I have been waiting 16 days to receive Natis papers that was supposed to take 5-10 days. When I requested them a few years back, I also did not receive them. Each time I have to call many times and spend 20 mins or more on my cell phone waiting for an operator to attend to me and each time I am told it will be expedited. Each time I follow up every 3 days with emails, which are never answered. This is jeopardising the sale of my car. The head office is closed - apparently everyone 'works' from home and the numbers are unhelpful. I am now off on an overseas trip so can only be contacted by email: nageljc@gmail.com. But just send them please as my buyer is waiting!!!
I have had ***** on my credit card Jan 2023, which they said they would reverse before it went through, but did not. Furthermore, stopping the card and decreasing permissions and online allowance to nil did not help and another lot of ***** went off 10 days later. I am not using the card at all, cannot use it, cannot get in to my account,. They have now taken the full R41000 plus off my other FNB bank account - ********, surely!!!???. I am working with ombudsman now for 7 months (says HUGE backlog with this bank), but they just keep dragging it out. DISGUSTING SERVICE. Please be careful with this bank. I hear they are in trouble.
I wish I had read the other review on them before I was scammed. I was happy to invest $200 bitcoin, just to see if it was going anywhere. They kept bugging me to invest more, but I did not. When I saw over a year later nothing much happening to the money I asked them to send it back to me. They asked for credit card details and ID etc. to send the money back - which I gave them and within 1 minute they made 3 online purchases and cleared out my bank account! FNB said they are not sure they can stop or reverse the purchases. Waiting to hear ....
