This company is the worse ever. Product doesnt last! they had to change and send new parts within 3 months of using it. it leaks they had to send new cups. a few months later the first motor broke and made funny noises i contacted them they said aparently they dont have courier services to SA at the moment but is so so busy looking for one and they will replace the motor. but in the meantime they will refund me 15% or something. i have been waiting for that ""refund"" for over 15 Working days and their excuse is they did refund and it takes this long to clear its a JOKE!!! with in this time back and forth with someone who tells you the same thing over and over again the othe pump is also making the same noise as the broken one, it alteast still works for now.... Its been over a month they dont want to send me a replacement motor, they are not doing the refund. and i asked for a full refund and they can have their poorly made product back and they said no they dont do that......... we had to buy new pumps to use in the meantime so they can decide if they want to refund or replace or whatever they want to do. they dont care about you Dont waste your money.
I am absolutely disgusted with the pathetic service I’ve received from Discovery Bank. I settled my credit card in full on Monday, 14 July 2025. I called the next day and was told they could see the payment, the account would be closed, and a paid-up letter would be sent. Simple enough, right? Apparently not for Discovery. It’s now been two weeks, and I’ve been calling them every second day. Each time I’m given a new reference number, told the case is “escalated”, and instructed to call back in 24 hours — only to go through the same thing again. Today, I was told they can’t even find my profile or account details. I settled multiple credit cards with other banks at the same time, and received all my paid-up letters within two days — no issues, no runaround. Discovery, on the other hand, has made this a nightmare. The lack of urgency, accountability, and basic customer service is appalling. I’ve wasted hours on the phone trying to get something that should’ve been processed days ago. This is not how a bank should operate. Discovery Bank, this is completely unacceptable. I want my paid-up letter immediately.
I have never struggled in my life to get answers or help from another comapny like from absa.. 27 Months ago they decided it was a good idea to add their own car insurance to my account, no one bothered to ask or say or anything i asked for statements and from a payment of 4100 monthy R2329 went to this car insurance around R1200 to interest and ONLY R500 to paying off the car THUS why my blance never drops So i send them proof of insurance i have for the last year and they removed the insurance but only refunded HALF of the R62 000 now i am unable to get a response from anyone in ABSA they just ignore my emails flat Absolutely Disgusting service from this place
Where do i even begin Everything was perfect when signing up with them absolutely no issues, untill 2 years later we started asking for COB's and statements First they do absolutely nothing making sure that the monies they distribute is correct on the other side, all they care about and show is that they DID distribute the money. Our accounts are still on the same balance if not more than what it was 2 years ago... i do understand the interest and what not but their distributions is poor i have noticed recently my ABSA vehicle Balance does not change i am looking at selling my car to get rid of this debt review, but to my suprise when i asked for statements and COB's Vehicle insurance was added to the monthly premium meaning, the total amount paid to absa monthly means nothing the biggest portion goes to this insurance and then interest and then the car payment the smallest portion... this is going on now for 27 months totaling to R62 000.00 in insurance premiums which i did not request or need i have contacted Afriskuld MULTIPLE times with no help to this situation contacted ABSA which was even worse i have sent afriskuld multiple emails with no repsonse or lack of interest responses surely they know people with in the companies like ABSA to get an answer and clarification on the matters.. but seems like they communited with these companies same way we do... They do not work of statements from the other companies they work of their own system statments and will send you COB's from when you started and now up to date COB's Their saying of jou skuld ons passie is absolute nonsense, every year the premiums goes up and NOTHING changes on your accounts AND the timeline gets pushed more and more if tyou think you will be with them for 4 years you will probably end up with 6 to 7 years. just as an example if you look at the Amortization Schedule from ABSA and the amount that they distributing to them at the very last two months there is a R60 000 plus a R60 000 payment needed to end the payment term because the payments they making wont complete the balance within the time frame they set out.. so what will happen? they will move the timeline on again with a few months if not a year or two simply because of POOR distributions and LACK of interest in their clients accounts, You are not doing me a favor i am paying for this service!! im not paying an amount i choose im paying what you told me to pay!! my accounts are worse now 2 years later than what they were on when i managed them myself... Your premium increases means absolutely nothing every year maybe if it went to a specific account but you are also increasing your fees every year R50 extra to this account and R30 extra to that account will make no Difference! If you had some sort of interest in your clients or if this ""Debt Counselor"" which was assigned to us even contacted us ONCE to check if all in order and any questions or have him pull statements to just make sure that the R5000 you paying to this account actually goes to paying the account and not R2500 in life insurance R2000 in interest and R500 to the account payment then you will see theres a problem somewhere and i would have sit in this situation trying to get R62 000.00 back from ABSA which they stole for "Car insurance" I have got so many worries about the way you run this but i just dont have the energy anymore i am sending emails and asking for help and everyone reading the emails hopes the next person will help......... And also BTW, it is the 13th of the month your debit order havent gone off yet, no email received.. this happened last month ALSO so i made the payment and you only made the payments to the accounts around the 17th! i have changed my bank to FNB and APPARENTLY fnb doesnt support the functions you need to setup debit orders but every other account i have is setup with debit order and debits succesfully. This ONCE again is extremely poor service, if i was able to manage my own money and account payments i wouldnt need you... what exactly makes you think that its okey to not worry about if the debit order was sent or not? my feeling here is, you simply dont care about the clients accounts or anything JUST the monthly premium coming to you, your slogan is a absolute LIE
Worst experience i have ever had with a PB My car has been with them for more than two months. And been back THREE times and everytime something else is wrong or they simply didn't fix it. The work carried out on my car is extremely poor. From panels which doesn't allign to DOUBLE SIDED TAPE on plastics to broken parts while fixing other things. My car would have gone back for the 4th time and my insurance sent it to another place to have this mess sorted out We wont even mention the fact that their drivers drives my car 120kmh on a 60 and 80 Zone road! I do not think the people working there work on cars much because the end product is a complete joke They left broken parts on the car which was damaged in the accident and thought nothing wrong of it Just nothing but nothing was checked before sending the car out I had to point out everything not right with it.. and when it was sent back it would come back the same or half fixed You simply don't get updates AND if you do get updates it's not accurate i have received so many updates saying i can get my car a certain date and then a day before they will move it on with a week or two My car is now back at another REAL panelbeater to have their **** work fixed and after removing the whole front end they could actually see what kind of work these people do 5 Months in total now!!!!!! The real definition of a spoeg en plak conpany Absolutely the WORST!!!!!
These clever people will only look at you application after doing a debi check on your account then whether you are approved or declined THEY WILL STILL DEBIT YOUR ACCOUNT ... STAY AWAY FROM THESE *****S THEY THINK THEY ARE CLEVER
They wanted to charge me installation fees when i canceled their fibre service within one year because i moved, but the installation was not done and was already done when i moved into the unit. On their website when you cancel you have to agree that you will be liable for the installation costs because of canceling within one year. So i was not able to cancel on theor website. Moved to their Wonderful whats app chat where absolutely no one understands what you are saying and are talking to you through copy and paste method. Thei confirmed i am liable for the installation costs i was transfered to managers and a few more people on this whats app chat situation they got going for them all agreed that u will be liable for this installation fees if i have to cancel.. so i gave up and switched the router off the 3rd on the new month, Which means if it gets to it they can only charge me for 3 days used service Once they see it was off and a month later no payment they phoned me and i explained to a very nice Lady the situation. She confirmed the installation was already there and my service with them was canceled immediately and the installation costs was taken away, Now i get threatening emails and messages that they will hand me over if i dont pay the one month service fee. Which is extremely unfair. BECAUSE I WAS NOT ABLE TO CANCEL THE SERVICE, Someone from their Legal department phoned me just to tell me that i I'll be handed over because of the outstanding amount. And the more i explain to her the more she "Just knows" she knows but she doesn't know how to help ... She understands what the situation is but she is not able to help because she only deals with legal stuff..... I have absolutely no problem with being charged for the 3 days in the new month the unit was used. But it is impossible to tell me i owe the full amount, if i wasn't able to cancel and NO ONE from your team whether it is phone email or whats app was able to help me !!!!!!!!!
I have been using this service for about 3 months now every week sometimes 2 s******s at a time. Thursday afternoon placed a order for R700 Money got deducted and delivery guy was on his way for a good 30mins before even leaving. Placed the order 4PM order arrived 6PM NOTHING 60 about that. When this delivery guy arrived it was one bag only the rest of the stuff wasn't even with him. On the app it showed as out of stock ..... we usually get a msg to choose something else if out of stock. All items which was not brought was items needed for that nights food. More than half the stuff was out of stock and it was just left there Now we have to wait 3+ days for the rest of the money to return instead of just bringing the stuff we bought! The sugar we received was extremely hard also cant pour it into anything which have to be thrown away!!!! Poor communication and Poor service Won't be using it again
I asked for a quote, got a price which was way to high anyway. Got a better deal took it now they won't stop spam phoning me !!!!!!!!!!!!! 4 times in a row and a few hours later same thing !!! EVERYDAY ALL DAY LONG ..... They simply don't stop once they have your number, STOP THIS MAN !!
Good day My wife phoned Hippo a few years ago to help find a medical aid. Very friendly advisor helped us. We got our medical aid.. PLUS a gap cover which he recommended some med expense Gap cover. It was all good no issues with medical aid which was used quite alot. One day i decided to phone this wonderful gap cover people to find out if everything was in order and good and to find out what was needed to move to my medical aid Gap cover.. These people's response was i was canceled from the gap cover which not one of us did they just decided to cancel our policy without any communications BUT still debits my account EVERY MONTH ... i had to then send them proof of debit orders which they take every month so they can continue the cover which is extremely funny But now .. my wife is pregnant and almost due and i want to move gap covers to my medical aid. Problem is i need a policy schedule from Med Expense WITH a date on. my wife has been struggling with them now for more than 2 weeks to send a Policy schedule so we can move to a more trusted service without a waiting period as she is pregnant. Not only is it IMPOSSIBLE to get the policy schedule from these people. We found out they canceled our policy AGAIN !!!! 2ND time in one year (Now imagine we never queried about it and my wife went into labor and a week later find out they canceled our policy because they got nothing beter to do with their time) Anyway ... We are now unable to move to our new gap cover without a waiting period And can't stay on this one because imagine the excuses they will have when it comes to a time to claim. Hippo ........ we tried a few times to get this schedule from you no LUCK .. we phoned no LUCK To this med expense people .... It is also very difficult to get a hold of this gap cover people because they work under different names also I have never had any problems with Hippo their advisors are very friendly and helpfull ... But you sold me this gap cover and i would appreciate it if SOMEONE can help me to get this Policy Schedule It HONESTLY is not so difficult....... Regards Ruan
