We always ahd good service from Talisman Woodstock, where we hold an account. However today we had a very bad experience at Talisman city inside builders. The talisman representative Caleb was unable and maybe unwilling to conclude a simple rental agreement for a circular handheld saw. Caleb was unable to distinguish corporate customers from private customers, and is generally totally unsuitable to deal with the public. We lost a days of work through him, ad he lost a sale. The franchise would benefit greatly from having him replaced.
We are in the classic car restoration business. We approached gardens locksmith to rebuild a vintage lock which is difficult if not impossible to replace. On 2 occasion during the process, the staff member lost a tiny part which we then had to replace my sacrificing another lock. While is very easy to loose those tiny bits, the problem is the the staff member denied and **** straight into my face. He was not only covered up by the owner of the shop, he was also covered by Mr. Ogata, the head of the Cape Town locksmith association. The whole affair sheds a very disappointing light on the industry, which is not accountable, which is not trustworthy. In fact it was the second time that Mr. Ogata covered up for wrongdoing of his collegues.
The service wsa absolutely stunning, they went well out of their way to help the client. It was a very pleasant surprise.
Fedex shipment: 772069785216 This is a collection from Portugal. Fedex collected it from the supplier without verifying the documentation. It was sitting then a week in Paris. Then it was returned to Portugal. It is now sitting a week in Portugal. To date a courier shipping in now hanging for 3 weeks, and FedEx is in no position to say what the status is. It has not been returned to the sender either. Our client cannot drive his car as FedEx is holding the spare part somewhere in Portugal. Another horrific FedEx experience.
Shipment: 770467378311 Once again we have issues with the brokerage department. The shipment was supposed to be cleared with purpose code J 83 but was cleared with purpose code H00. The content was declared as 90330000(3) while the content of the package was 8708.30.90 ( 7 ) and now the worst: the UCR (unique consignement reference ) was declared as 2ZA01464353COTH770467378311S while the actual number was 2ZA01464353COTH770467378311S Now we sit with 2 unique numbers. The problem is that Fedex is REFUSING to correct the mistakes and is in open breach of custom requirements. Our contention is what empowers Fedex to act outside the confines of the law ?
Fedex Shipment: 776283895074 Unable to do custom clearance. This is in fact a rerun of shipment 284821423240 which took 3 month for customs clearance, and was only delivered after intervention from Valdemiro Macome. The current shipment is now on a least 4 weeks. It took them 3 weeks to ask for clearing instructions, and the initial entry was done without authorization. However Kgotatso Mosoma got the VOC wrong so we are back to square one. Sad to see that Christiel Callan Linsae' Khan is still employed despite ****ing client experiences. As last time the we only got our goods after the HelloPeter complaint, we are now going the same route. The issue is that Feddex management seem to be unaware of serious management issues inside the company. In similar cases with UOS and DHL we were able to resolve issues by addressing the CEO which does nto seem to work with Feddex.
Fedex South Africa. After very poor reviews Christiel Khan is still in he job , sadly. Our shipment is stuck with them for 2 weeks because they cleared it without authorization, and they cleared it wrong. Now they dont want to own up to they mistake and rather hold our shipment hostage. I had similar fights wiht UPS and DHL where we had to get the CEO involved to resolve the matter. The problem lies wiht the lack of education wiht the bottom people, and by the time ti gets to the seniors, the damage is long done and can apparently not be revered which is another exuse for lazyness. SARS and the government are often blamed for high import duties. This is far from the truth. People pay hight duties beacuse of incompetnent clearing clerks that had to be emplyed by the major courier companies. Another reason why doing business in SA in such a pain :(
It is hard to believe even for SA standards. in October 2020 we ordered a few steel brackets. Anton did call back to discuss the order. We are now waiting 8 month. We had dozens of Email follow ups, and equally dozens of useless excuses by the receptionist. We have not been treated that badly by any SA company in years. People should stay away, once they get hungry, they may start to respect clients again: Felix from Lancia Auto SA
