Much like many of the previous reviews, AC Direct has failed to meet any of its own time guarantees by a huge margin. I have called their Call Centre many times and been cut off after 12-15 minutes with no response (with one exception). I have also emailed 4 or 5 times but, other than an automated response, their "dedicated team" have made no effort to address my issues. Installation is now set for the 6th January, several weeks beyond their own guidelines, but I have no-one to complain to. Hopefully they will meet this promise, but they have taken any joy out of my purchase.
This website is accepting payments but not providing any service. Avoid!
Even though I am a fan of Black and Decker products, their customer service in South Africa is worse than appalling, it is non-existent!. After several phone calls, which went unanswered, I finally go through to a spares agent who asked me to put my query into an email. Several emails later, there was still no response. I contacted B+D International, who were helpful and assured me they would get someone from the South African operation to contact me. After several attempts, even they gave up. Absolutely no commitment to customer service.
I ordered an RCT Inverter online at a price of R6999. Today I was informed that their supplier was 'out of stock', and that I could order the same item, but sourced from a different supplier, at R8999. The Call Centre told me that there is nothing they can do. They also indicated that they can't give out the name of the supplier to the public, so I have no way of confirming whether the supplier is indeed 'out of stock', or whether they do not want to supply it to me at the advertised price. It would seem that, by using Loot as an agent to purchase goods, I lose many of the protections offered to me by the Consumer Protection Act.
While making a purchase at KFC Sunward Park, I inadvertently left my credit card in the auto-order machine. The card was either handed in by a subsequent client or retreived by the staff at Sunward Park. The card was kept safely for me, and the staff responded to my telephonic enquiry. The card is now safely in my possession and I am extremely grateful for the honesty and assistance of the Sunward Park staff, in a world where sadly we have come not to expect it.
Albertinia's quote was incredibly reasonable and their communication up until the day of the move superb. Ernie and his team arrived on time, were amazingly professional and went above and beyond the call of duty overcoming some difficult conditions.. Every piece of furniture was fully wrapped and documented. A first class experience in all respects.
On 12th Jan 2021 I ordered 2 of the following items online:- "Umbrella Aura ALUMINIUM 290 cm X 290 cm Taupe" (SKU 81452771). After two weeks (where they initially delivered to the wrong address) I eventually received the order, but it was only the covers for the umbrella. Upon enquiry, their customer service told me that it was "obvious" on their website that it was only the cover. I checked again, and there was no indication of this (and have taken screenshots). There is a separate SKU for the replacement cover (SKU 81453105). They refuse to honour their website on this issue, and will only refund me. I've wasted two weeks and several phone calls, and am entirely unhappy with the company attitude.
