A seller sale ad popped up on my FB screen late Tuesday afternoon. My items are wearing out after lasting many years so I ordered new ones. My order was immediately processed and couriered via The Courier Guy from Durban to Jo'burg, going out for delivery the next morning, and when I dressed the in the morning around 9am, I was able to put on my brand new, super comfortable item. Stunning service; thanks Courier Guy.

Checkers Sixty60 is so far ahead of the other online purchase apps! Last night at 18h30 I placed a large order, thinking they'd process it in the morning when they opened. To my surprise and pleasure, it was process in minutes and delivered by 19h00. All my items were available with no substitutes needed and in perfect condition. Many of my items were on special, something I don't intentionally choose, and I saved a few hundred Rand. Even hit an Easter bunny item for a further discount. Way to go Checkers!!
I made my 1st Makro online order, a big ticket item, and was very pleased with the efficiency of Makro's response. I was very well informed at every stage of the order progress which went quickly and smoothly. Steps that did not work: 1. Makro's email said I could track my delivery once it was dispatched from Makro on my "order" page; this page had no tracking button and never updated beyond "in progress". 2. Makro told me I would receive a delivery message from the courier on the day of delivery; this did not happen, they phoned me from my gate; just lucky I was home. Overall though, a pleasant shopping experience.
I have been a client of Spec-Savers for many years and have been very satisfied most of that time; receiving outstanding service from optician Annarien. When she left the branch I always went to, I tried them again once but the service was mediocre and the spectacles scratched easily, so were obviously not coated as ordered. I tracked Annarien down to the Cradlestone Mall branch and made an appointment. Once again, I am very happy with her outstanding service. The missing star is just because they don't have a very comprehensive choice of frames available, so I have to spend the next couple of years with frames that would not have been my first choice.
I have bought from them a few times over a few years; some of their products are good and some are duds. Buyer has to pick wisely. They switched a product on me without consultation, which I don't appreciate and my query went nowhere. Very annoying is the fact that it is impossible to log in to the site. It takes emails back and forth to get the login fixed but by that time you've lost out on the time dependant specials. Then when you try to make your next purchase, the login is broken again.
The Cabin is a roadside diner and antique/craft/gift shop near Clocolan in the Free State. Having spent 2 weeks holidaying in the Clarens to Drakensberg area, we were accustomed to lethargic and indifferent service and average quality of food and goods at high prices. So when we stopped for lunch at The Cabin, the warm, friendly and welcoming atmosphere took us by surprise. I ordered a Seasonal Veggie Flatbread and experienced one of the best and most memorable meals of my long life!! My girlfriend was equally impressed with her meal and we both enjoyed an astounding Coffee Milkshake. We bought a few well priced and good quality items from the gifts shop, having browsed dozens of similar shops prior to this and bought nothing. The Cabin is the most jacked-up establishment of its kind for many kilometres in any direction and their food would embarrass many a big-city diner. Highly recommended to anyone passing by! I'm just sad that I may never enjoy that Seasonal Veggie Flatbread again.
I joined the Pick and Pay ASAP app, was offered a R50 discount voucher code for my first order. I placed the order but the discount code would not go through. Got my order but lost the R50. I complained by email and after several days silence, was given another R50 code. I placed my second order but the replacement code would also not go through. So I lost the R50 again and from an order or 5 cans of baked beans, only 4 were delivered. I complained again via email (phoning doesn't work at all), and now, going on 2 weeks later, still no response. I got most of my groceries delivered, hence 2 stars, but am not a happy shopper. The problems are minor but what makes the red mist descend is the poor "support" underpinning the app and being IGNORED! Doug
I have been addicted to nibbling Seemanns Bockwurst whenever I feel like a snack and buy and freeze 10 to 15 kilos at a time. I bought last week and found them to be quite awful and was ready to dump the lot. I sent a moan email to Seemanns Randburg about lack of consistency, expecting nothing, but received a phone call, asking me to return the purchase, which I did. They not only refunded me the full amount, even more because I had received a pensioner's discount on my purchase, but also replaced about half the Bockwurst (all they had at the time); plus they gave me a bottle of honey and a box of sweet pastries. I'm still reeling from shock, few businesses have ever in my life treated me so well and been so friendly. Mega-kudos to Seemanns Randburg!!!
Stunning job of safely bringing down a giant Oak tree in a very confined and difficult space. The saw-guy has mad s****z! I've had a couple of big trees in my garden removed by other companies before, but PMR is in another league. Highly recommended. The lost star is for the clean-up which was a bit rushed at the end of the day and could be improved upon.
