Very simple. Put in a order for a car and a c****at. Never got the c****at. Hired the care on the 22nd of December. Deposit payment of R 3700 still not finalised. Upon calling, I was told "I must sort it out with the bank'. Upon emailing their customer service, no feedback. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt. As a customer, I am completely left in the dark without any recourse. The time and energy this has taken is just unacceptable.
I have to report the experience I had with Volpes and a third party payment facility 'Payjustnow'. I ordered stuff online from Volpes, stuff that they did not have stock of which resulted in an incomplete order having only been delivered after only about two to three weeks. Yes it was over the festive season BUT you do not run a 40% discount campaign if you cannot service it correctly? I used a Payjustnow facility to make the order but upon returning the Volpes order, shop staff were not really trained in this respect which lead to an confusion over how the refund needed to be handled. This resulted in my having to spent a lot of time and energy trying to sort out the mess. So in effect, its not worth the pain to order online or to use another type of payment facility. I will definitely think twice before ordering online from home decor shops (had a simi**** experience with Mr Price) and using Payjustnow or Payflex.
On the 17th of August I brought my Dell Laptop to Computer Mania Willowbridge Cape Town to fix what seemed to be quite a serious issue with its hinge. I was advised that as it presented as 'damage to the screen' Dell's warranty would not hold. The laptop is less than a year old. On the 1st of September I accepted the quote from Computer Mania Willowbridge and paid it. On the 29th of September, I was called to pick up my laptop. Quality: The hinge was fixed, but the laptop lid was loose and was flopping back. The fact that the service provider could think that the laptop was usable in that state clearly speaks to a lack of quality control. Service: I submitted my laptop with its charger. The charger is now missing and I am told that that Computer Mania Willowbridge as a matter of process would not accept the charger. They however cannot refute my assertion by way of video camera evidence. I have since been told that they would now replace it. Fact is however, it was lost in their custody. Communication: All through this time, I had to follow up. Not once was I informed of process or status. It has no also been two weeks since I first expressed my concern. Clearly fixing this laptop, my work laptop is not a priority. Miscommunication: I also feel that I was been given misinformation initially. I was subsequently told that I actually have legitimate cause to approach Dell under the laptop's warranty. In liaising with Computer Mania Willowbridge I am provided with the same excuse. Their technician just left them high and dry having left their employ. I have been reasonable and accepted this initially but I cannot continue to do so as it is clear that they are not treating this as a priority and I am left to absorb the brunt of this fall out. I would caution anyone else to use Computer Mania, Willowbridge.
Internet connection drops all the time, Rain throttling speed. In short - not to be trusted. Little and disingenuous customer service. Representatives blatantly fobbing you off. Another instance where a service provider are so confident that they have captured the market with low prices that they pay little to no heed to legitimate customer concerns. Don't waste your time.
