I am so disappointed with AFCHO agents. Two months ago I made a request to apply for a unit in Newgate and I was told that the unit in my price range was not available. This week I was told there was a unit available and I had to pay a deposit fee to secure it. I paid the rent, deposit fee, utilities and admin fee. My agent Nokwanda then told me that the unit was not available after I had paid and will look for a substitute for me. She then kept quiet until I reminded her about the substitutes. She sent me the possible yesterday in which I was not happy with but still chose one. When I had to get my paper work again an excuse about them needing to change the unit in my contract. Today I sent a message asking about the new contract and she ignored my message but she is online and posting statuses. I am dissapointed in how the agents operate and want a refund of my money.
This is the worst catering service ever provided. Firstly there's no communication, they fail to let people know that their premiums are increasing forcing people to pay extras they don't know. Secondly they don't let you know if you accidentally miss a payment, instead they keep quiet. When you have to claim they tell you that you are behind and are temporarily suspended and can't claim. They do this so that when people have to claim they just tell them that they can't.
On the 5th January 2021 my grandfather passed on due to diabetes. We as the family called B3 to transport his body to the mortgage. We waited 2 hours for their arrival bare mind that office and mortgage is only 20 minutes away from our home. The following day we went to B3 because the family thought it would be better if we used a different funeral parlour. Cynthia Mahlangu who was the agent that assisted us told us that my grandfather was covered for only 15 000. The body was transferred to another funeral parlour. When we found our portfolio we discovered that he was actually covered for R45000. Upon our claim we were given poor service as a different agent assisted us and we spent over 4 hours in their office. After 2 weeks of not receiving the money we then called and we were told the money was in finance. We only received R30000 3days after we called and pestered them. A week later we went back to their office and we were told that the agent that was assisting us went on leave without processing the money. It's been 4 weeks since our claim and we still haven't received the rest of the money. I always thought B3 was a prestigious life insurance but now I know that they are incompetent, liars and quite useless. I would not recommend to anyone.
