My battery was flat, I called the call centre and within under an hour we received assistance. I received a call back to confirm all was in order. I am very satisfied with the service.
My husband and I spent our holiday in Barra and Tofo, we decided to break up our trip to Johannesburg and spend the New Year either in Ponta or Macaneta. Most resorts and lodges were fully booked, some hosts do not get back to you and the options available were very pricey. Tiana responded to my post on Fb looking for accommodation and provided clear and detailed instructions of what to expect and instructions of how to get to the resort. All 4 Fun is a lovely home away from home providing everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts are so friendly and welcoming and happy to assist with anything, the chalets, communal bathrooms and kitchen is spotless clean. There is a bar, restaurant, pool, braai area, boma area, dart board, volley ball net and swing ball for entertainment. Upon the completion of the entertainment area there will be a pool table and table tennis thereby providing entertainment for all ages and the whole family. The ****a shop is a 3 minutes walk, beach is 8 minutes and the the town is about a 5 to 7 minutes drive away. The network signal is very strong (this is very important for me as I run my own business which operates seven days a week). I have had no issues since we arrived 🙂. You can request the house keeper to wash your linen at a fee. Everything on her menu is extremely cheap thereby giving guests the relief of not breaking the bank and enjoying your holiday. There are chalets and there is a camping site. My husband and I felt welcome since we arrived and I am very blessed we managed to find this gem which is about 550km from Gauteng.. Much better option than opposed to Kzn which is congested and over commercialized.
Absolute nightmare. My family and I came to Asia hoping to emigrate. Sam promised us jobs and accommodation. He stated he could get us in at the same school and assist with finding accommodation but this has not materialized. The two agents we communicated with were extremely rude. Sams exact words these people do not ****ing care about our situation. He said Thai people will fire you just for asking a question. He told us we need to compromise. We were the only ones compromising. According to both agents Sam had not made them aware that all three of us needed to be placed at the same school nor about our requirements regarding accommodation. In Singburi the three places we viewed were not within walking distance to the school, shops or anything at all. The one apartment was located in a smelly building, with no ventilation, felt like a furnus, no balcony nor windows. Second place appeared to be storage units converted into rooms. No window, sliding door or balcony. The space was half the size of a container, the third place was about a 10 to 15 minutes drive to the school. The second and third property had no kitchen and no space for one. We were told we would need to buy a gas stove and cook outside and do the dishes outside. The agent recommended a fourth property which costed 20 000 to 25 000 baht per month. The agent told my niece and husband they would drive them to the school for the first two days and after that they would need to find their own way to work. Singburi is a very small town with nothing to do. Taxis do not operate in Singburi. Sam's response was that they should learn how to ride a scooter as everyone does. Yes, fair enough but that would require one to go for lessons. How would they get to school and home during the interim??? Bare in mind this was not what was sold. Renting a scooter or car means ones budget would be affected however we were looking at these options. The agent told them they needed to make a decision that night. Due to the bad experience along with one of the teachers at the school briefing them on a couple things which included that Tefl and the agents tell us is not what happens and that we needed to read the contracts carefully. We decided to leave. Then he told us there were two teaching jobs in Trang or Krabi but we needed to go to Nakhon to meet with the agent we told him we do not want to go to another place without providing us with information such as the school, suburb, apartment etc as we want to avoid our previous experience which costed us a lot of money. He refused to give us literally any information. He assured us the agent had 2 or 3 properties available, it was easier to get accommodation in Krabi or Trang. We would just go for one day and then be taken to the school. He linked us upp with a South African guys called Ebrahim. He told me he was fami**** with those places and would provide me with more information. The agent assured me the agent would assist us. Eventually we decided to go. Waited an hour and a half at the train station, she was unaware of us being placed in Trang or Krabi, said there were only teaching jobs in Nakhon. We have lost so much money. We are not the only people in the same situation. Empty promises. Please do not pay for the orientation placement and go via Tefl on the beach. The agent told us due to budgets the school can't hire more than one teacher at the same school and that the school wants to employ white teachers.She did not even bother to find us accommodation. She told us to find our own accommodation. Even though we were not happy about this we decided to look for accommodation in Nakhon. We ended us staying there for four nights at a hotel instead of being there for a few hours as promised. Sam and Ebrahim told me that the agent is lazy however we need to be patient. Very convenient only after we arrived there we are informed of this. The agent told my niece and husband to go to Trang but if the schools reject them they would need to return to Nakhon. Then the jobs in Nakhon were no longer available. Ebrahim requested 5k from all of us to get us jobs. Sam totally mislead us. Ps beware about Tefl. We are going to take this matter further. They have blocked me from the fb page.
I was relentless to use their service due to the bad reviews. I expressed my concerns with Davidson. He stated they had hiccups in the past. They treated my wooden table and I was happy with the service but now it's been over a month and a half that I have been waiting for him and his team to fix my bathroom cupboards in my apartment used for Airbnb. There's was a delay in Davidson going to the apartment and then he recommended Chris who is just as useless. Customer Service i give 0. I have been constantly following up and to make matters worse Davidson is non apologetic. Stay away from Wood Doctors because they are just a headache. They need to seriously work on improving their customer service and delivering. Time wasters
My husband and I have dined at Signature twice and on both occasions the atmosphere was pure majestic. The soothing live music performance along with lighting really does create the perfect romantic ambience. The restuarant is well laid out, the staff are extremely friendly, professional and alert. The meals are very pleasing to ones eye. The only reason I am providing a 4 star is because I ordered a meal which was a surf and turf and the prawn looked more like a shrimp and it came with green rice which was not pleasant at all. I felt the price was a bit steep and not justified however the atmosphere and service makes up for the steep pricing. It is very hard to find a restaurant with great service with a romantic atmosphere.
In February I purchased a deal on Bid or buy from the seller who's profile name is Voucher deals and name is Catharina. The bid was for a six sleeper at little Eden's in Cullinan and had to be redeemed the following day. I only had to pay and extra additional fee of R100 to transfer the voucher into my name. We enjoyed ouor stay at Little Eden. Thereafter we purchased three vouchers. One was a gift from our office for a staff member who had been employed with the company for 20 years but had to leave due to health reasons. She had cancer and had chemotherapy and therefore had to be in isolation for about a year as chemotherapy lowes one's immune system and due to covid she could not afford to compromise her health. She missed many family occasions including Christmas. We thought this gift would be ideal. We purchased her a deal which is a six sleeper which runs from Friday to Friday. My partner and I purchased a Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday voucher. This was the biggest mistake. Ever since we purchased the deals we have been struggling to get a booking and Peter who is the contact person to arrange a booking is beyond rude, arrogant, inconsiderate and extremely difficult to get hold of. He was literally shouting at me on the phone and was very impatient with me and he has been rude to my partner. There is always an excuse as to why there is no availability. I understand that peak season and school holiday's resorts are in demand and one tends to book early but literally every place we have tried to book we have had an excuse. literally this whole week my partner has communicated with him to get a booking for next weekend and we have only been provided with one option which is Crystal Springs in Mpumalanga. On bid or buy it stipulates there are about 160 resorts/ vacation apartments and lodges available but I highly doubt that. We paid R1500 for the bid. Peter has informed us that it is going to cost us R2800 for the resort levy fee for a four sleeper even though it will only be my partner and I. When I asked him why the levy fee is so high as on bid or buy it stipulates that the fee starts from R80 he said that it is obvious that the levy is going to be higher on a weekend and it is the law. That is R233 per person per day if there are four guests. R233 is almost three times the starting levy fee. I would understand if it was a public holiday or school holiday but our booking is during Winter and not during peak season. When I asked him why this information is not stipulated on bid or buy or the voucher he stated "if they had to include all of the information they would need to write a book". He asked me if I work on weekends and I replied, yes. He asked if i get paid extra for working on the weekend and I responded no, his response was that I should sue my company. Firstly his questions is very innapropriate just like his behaviour. Catharina who is the seller on bid or buy never wants to take responsibility regarding any issues, she always makes execuses for Peters behaviour. She says she is only working for Day break vacation. I infomed her that she needs to stipulate ALL of the financial implications relate to the deals she is constantly selling on Bid or buy. Eg what the maximum levy one can pay to avoid suprises and that it does not matter whether 1, 2 or 4 guests occupy the space they will be charged a daily resort levy for the chalet eg if it is a 4 or 6 sleeper a daily levy will be charged for 4 or 6 people. Besides this week my partner has tried to call Peter on numerous occassions and because Peter does not answer his phone he has sent whatsapp messages and he has never received one response. I sent Catharina the screen shots and her response was "he does not work on whatsapp". This is really poor and shocking service. Instead of apologizing she makes excuses. I had informed her my partner sent messages because he was not answering his phone calls. The first time I contacted him to book he shouted at me for calling on a Saturday, last week Monday I tried to get hold of him and I could not. On the Wednesday when I communicated with Catharina she had informed me that he went away for the public holiday which was on the Tuesday. Even after I informed her that I contacted him on the Monday WHICH WAS NOT A PUBLIC holiday she was not peturbed. The first time he was rude she said she would scold him. He apparently does not take calls after 4pm, Saturdays, Sundays, Public holidays, he does not work on Whatsapp. This morning after we spoke to him about the levy fee I communicated with Catharina to state I am not happy as this is ridiculous as the levy fee is costing more than the actual price of the voucher and this is a rip off. I informed her he did not answer our call when we tried to get hold of him again and she said his on leave and she will communicate with him on Monday. So it appears he does not work on Friday's either. To state that I am frustrated and unhappy is a huge understatement. I feel their service is absolutely pathetic and they lack transparency. The service is appauling. The gift we bought for our colleague was an absolute was of money because she is never going to get a booking and it is probably going to cost an arm and a leg if a daily levy during Winter and off peak season is R233 per person. I am awaiting the response from Catharina on Monday to see how she plans to resolve this matter and I will provide an update next week regarding my review. I feel as we have been scammed
Usually their food is great but on Sunday my partner and I went to The Rocket last minute as we were not impressed with the food from place we had originally booked for Valentines day. My partner ordered their Jack Daniel steak, I love prawns and steak. I asked the waiter what size prawns come with the surf and turf steak and he stated 4 king prawns. I found that a bit hard to believe. I asked him if he was not sure if they were prince prawns and he said no they are king prawns but deshelled. We both asked for our steaks medium to rare. My partner got his steak and it was amazing. My steak had no seasoning, it was so bland and the prawns looked like shrimps because they were so small. I asked the waiter if they had not seasoned the steak. He stated they add a little seasoning. I told him there was no seasoning at all. They offered to make me a different steak. I stated I will order the Jack Daniel steak. When I received my steak I could see that all they had done was basted the same steak with the sauce and not put it back on the flame. The steak inside tasted the same. It was just horrible. You could taste the difference between mine and my partners. The kitchen had closed and I was just to annoyed to complain. I understand it was late and the staff were in a hurry to go home but at the end of the day we paid for our serviece and I was not happy with what I paid for. The salad however was really great.
Yesterday my parner and I went to Hooters in Fourways and we were informed there is a brandy and coke special so we ordered that. We received two seperate glasses per person with one tot of brandy in the one glass without ice and the other glass had a lot of ice and apparently a tot of brandy. I had originally requested that we wanted my ice seperate from our drinks. We sent the waiter back and she returned doing the same thing but adding lots of ice to the glass. I told her we do not want our ice in the glass we want our shots on the side. With our second round of drinsk we had the same issue and I was very annoyed. Clearly they are not concered about customer service and giving the customer what they want. We ordered the platter which comes with 6 shrimp, 6 boneless wings an 6 original wings. The wings were a bit dry and the boneless ones had no flavor. We then requested a seperate order of boneless wings to go. When we get our bill the waitress charged us for 20 yet we only wanted 6. I understand they need to upsell but the waitress must not take advantage and make assumptions. In October last year we took my cousin there and we had such a great time the food was amazing and now I was very dissapointed. There seems to be a lack of consistency.
