Had a legitimate issue with a company due to not being refunded after half a month of waiting, only to have my grievances silenced/removed by Hellopeter, for what I assume was me using the word *******, which they auto censored BTW. Gawd what a pathetic era to be alive, such thin skinned muppets. This means going forward I can no longer trust Hellopeter to be unbiased with their review filter system if they are going to be removing ones they deem as too "spicy", as this creates an unrealistic view of a company where you aren't allowed to see the whole picture, specifically the grimy underbelly.
Ordered and paid for a Cable Guy figure (was intended as a gift for a friend), was later contacted and told they didn't have stock of the figure, they tried to get me to swap the figure for another, wasn't interested as I've been hunting for this figure specifically, a refund was agreed on and a little later that day I received an email from Game4U saying that the order had been refunded, however no refund has actually made it's way to my bank account as of yet twelve (12) days later, almost half a month, clearly they don't intend to give me my money back and were probably hoping I wasn't paying attention... DO NOT SUPPORT THESE *******!!!
Trying to access my PayPal account to withdraw MY funds through my browsers (Opera GX/Microsoft Edge) and I get the "(E-96) User Not permitted to use this process" error... fun times! XO
Recently returned a sound card, that wasn't performing as expected, had a heap of issues (which I listed), but wasn't technically broken, so used the "changed my mind" option (Although in hindsight I probably should've labelled it as broken, as it did start delaying my boot times severely), and for the first time ever after having used Takealot for years with no issues they rejected the return, due to having basically used the thing, no joke, said "Seal is broken", keep in mind the seal they are referring to is a piece of tape that keeps the anti-static bag closed (tape was still attached and NOT broken BTW). "Hassle-Free Exchanges & Returns for 30 Days." My @$$. This was the only reason I bought through Takealot and was even willing to pay more than I would for the same thing somewhere else. Amazon cannot arrive soon enough!
Asked for a proper refund on my last item return, but unknown to me they credited my Takealot account instead. Normally I'd have nothing but praise for Takealot, but this is just unacceptable and means I'll most likely be waiting at least another five freakin' days before I see anything in by bank account! XO
As my first shop with FirstShop (LOL) I was rather nervous, as you never really know how good or bad an online purchase will truly be until you actually try them. Well I needn't have worried, the package came within just two days and was in pristine condition, so of course everything worked as expected. With all fears now dispelled, I'll certainly be using them again in future. ^^
As a South African I'm kind of used to not receiving top quality service, pretty much comes with the territory. However, never in my life have I ever had the misfortune of dealing with a company so poorly run. I wasted two days waiting for a repairman to come around and sort out my screen, all the while never being updated once by them, if I wanted to be clued in, I had to be the one to make the call, even at the end of the day when they knew no one was coming around to sort out my screen. By the end of the second day I was obviously livered and wanted to know how was it possible that someone such as myself, who was next in line for service the day prior, was now last in line the day after... the response I got was shocking, I was told to get someone else to service me and then the guy hung up! Absolutely disgusting!
