I bought 10 trips on the 3rd March at the Gautrain station in Centurion to Park Station. The product end date on the App was the 21st of March. When I went to the Gautrain station this morning my trips had expired. I had no choice but to buy another ticket. The agent at the Gautrain Station didn't explain to me how the product worked except to say that I have 10 days. I am not happy with the service because this is a costly product. I have lodged a complaint because I cannot afford to lose those 4 trips and had I know that the end of product is not the same as the expiration date, I wouldn't have this problem. Kindly assist with a refund of those 4 trips.
I have an Investec private bank account. Over a month ago I saw some charges go off my account. Two amounts of USD for $5 and $228. I didn't recognise the charges so I contacted Investec ***** department. After investigating they came back to say that the amounts were authorised by me, using a digital signature and my email address as proof. The amounts were for a subscription that I have never used. The subscription appears to have been undertaken from my work laptop during the week, when anyone could have access to my laptop. I want to clarify that just because someone has access to your laptop or email addresses does not mean that it is you. Investec ***** department, without doing anything thorough investigation or asking relevant questions accept *****ulent merchants who routinely trick people into subscriptions without knowledge or consent. Investec ***** department have told me that they trust what the merchant says and will authorise the charges of up to R4500 for a subscription that I've never used. There is something disturbing when a bank sides with dubious online merchant and fails to uphold the integrity of the Investec cheque account. This is clearly not only a security breach but an indicator that the Investec brand is weak and cannot be trusted. I have authorised my private banker to immediately advise me on steps that I can take to close my Investec accounts.
I am trying to close my FNB fusion account. I called FNB private clients several times..it's been two weeks and the account has not been closed. I have paid all the fees and settled my overdraft. If the account is not closed it will continue to accumulate fees which I will be liable for. Is there anyone at FNB who cares about customer experience? Is the anyone who can assist with this query?
Web Africa and Vuma did a poor installation of fibre at my house in December. The cable ran through the middle of the wall and it was fixed with glue. The cable started getting loose and I called them to fix their poor installation. They moved the cable and then charged me R450. The original installation cost about R200. This is their poor workmanship and they want me to pay for it? Instead of dealing with the incapable guy who did the initial installation in December they want to pass on the cost to the consumer. Worse, they didn't give me an invoice or explain the costs I just saw the debit order or R958! I have called my bank to reverse the unauthorized debit order. I demanded an explanation of what these costs are for because I paid my installation cost in December. I will post everyday until they fix this situation or tell me exactly how they intend to remedy this situation.
I am waiting for Vumatel to install.myvservice after I moved house. I moved on the 14 of December, they came and installed a cable and left. The service does not work. My service provider is Webafrica. I have sent messages to Webafrica and Vumatel everyday and they said they are closed for December..seeing as I have been waiting since the 14th of December I thought they would prioritise me. They haven't called. Since Vumatel is a virtual monopoly in this area I am stuck, I've tried to contact vox and they all told me to wait for Vumatel. What can customers do when companies that act like virtual monopolies act in this arrogant disregard for customers? I am writing the 3rd debit on this. Is there a regulator out there who can look into this Vumatel
I am extremely disappointed with the service from Vumatel. I recently moved homes and 2 weeks later they still haven't connected my service. They sent a technician who came and put up cables, left and didn't return. I have cables strewn all over my living room. What is the point of paying Vumatel and Web African when half the time there is no service? I will be spending Christmas without WiFi because they just can't finish a job. They send Technicians who seem clueless. I'm tired, vote with your feet and #Cancel #Vumatel
FNB engaging in anti competitive behaviour FNB is engaging in anti competitive behaviour. I have attempted to close my account numerous times. In all those instances I spoke to someone from head office who assured me that it will be done within 48 hours and then nothing happened. I received a very competitive offer from Investec which includes my home loan. I have been attempting to close my FNB accounts to no avail. I asked Investec to assist but they aren't able to. Dear FNB: is it legal to engage in this anti competitive behaviour and force customers to stay with you. Customers should not stay with a business because they are coerced by because they see value in the business' offerings. I've not received a call from FNB since I wrote this review and they rep**** promising to get back to me
I bought 5 curtains at Takealot. The description of the curtains was 5m X 230 cms with tie backs. The curtains arrived in plastics, not boxes..There were no for back except for one curtain and intact the curtains I received did not match what I ordered. Takealot has become sloppy and reckless. The items are delivered by random guys who seem to be handling multiple orders and often give you the wrong items. I asked Takealot to send me tie backs for the curtains! At the very least Takealot please complete your orders. My order was for over R6000 and what did I get, bits of pieces, nothing looks like what was ordered.

I have been a member of VA Cresta since October 2024. Today I terminated my membership because the club manager shared my personal information with my personal trainer. The personal trainer called me to tell me that the club managers were asking him about me. I don't know this guy from a bar of soap. He is not my friend or family but the club managers felt entitled and that it was within their right to do this. This is obviously unprofessional and an infringement of my privacy. Today I terminated my membership in protest because this is outrageous. This reflects poorly on Virgin Active because it shows that the club managers are poorly trained. Are these so called club managers aware of PoPI act? Do they understand that as managers in the club they are custodians of personal information and it's their duty to protect it? Is Virgin South Africa too big? When businesses become too big they don't care about customer and experience. There are so many gyms that have popped up everywhere, in fact, VA is a largely a socially irrelevant expensive institution. Gyms like this are elitist, and let's be honest, does it make sense to pay Virgin Active R900 a month for poor service/rights violation and management that treat you with disrespect? Ultimately this is not an issue of poor service, it's an issue of infringement of customer personal information which is a serious legal issue. I want to know from VA head office or national management if this is the culture of the institution that they want to lead.
