1. I recently opened a Tax-Free Savings Account and a Retirement Annuity with the bank. What should have been a simple and straightforward process turned into a frustrating experience due to a lack of communication, delays in actioning requests, and an overall poor level of service. 2. I escalated the matter at the time because the experience was unpleasant, unprofessional, and unacceptable. However, the responses I received from management felt generic and rehe****d, without addressing the root of the issues or providing meaningful resolution. 3. I am now in the process of obtaining pre-approval for financing, and I find myself once again in a position where I am driving all communication, with little to no response from Investec on how to proceed. 4. There has been a noticeable decline in customer care and overall client experience. I have been with the bank for some time and have previously financed both a property and a vehicle through Investec, and I do not recall the service being this poor. 5. At this point, I am even reluctant to escalate further, as it feels as though management is more focused on providing standard responses than genuinely assisting clients or addressing ongoing service concerns. This ongoing experience makes it difficult to have confidence in the level of service being provided.

I’m honestly very disappointed with my experience with Investec Bank so far and this is before even becoming a client. I submitted an application and heard absolutely nothing for over a week. No updates, no communication, nothing. I then had to follow up myself, only to be told that someone would get back to me which, again, never happened. For a bank that positions itself as premium and client-focused, this level of service is frankly unacceptable. If this is the experience before onboarding, it raises serious concerns about what the service would be like as a client. A very disappointing first impression. I expected professionalism and efficiency not silence and poor follow-through.

I called into Investec Customer Service , wanting to bank with them. I was asked for name, contact number and ID number....why my ID number I do know.... no one has called... sad ... thought ur service was amazing

The absolute WORST customer experience I have ever had!!!! It took them 2 weeks to process my car financing. While my credit is great and Im a good client, they do not care about their Client's needs. The narrative that Investec sits above other institution is because they allegedly provide Top Tier Customer service. Which I can now first-hand state, is ABSOLUTE false. They take days with any form of communication or response, my "private banker" just left on leave without making sure my business is being handled. They use their own processes as excuses for taking weeks to process anything. They are the worst!!!

The absolute WORST customer experience I have ever had!!!! It took them 2 weeks to process my car financing. While my credit is great and Im a good client, they do not care about their Client's needs. I had my previous review removed after posting the names of my private banking “team”. I did receive a call from a completely different Investec member after my appalling experience with Investec that was the source of my negative review previously but I will say the call was extensive and I was able to voice my issues with this staff member. I can’t say I feel heard by the Investec team and I still believe they are not honest when promoting accessible banking as I was unable to receive help during working hours from the two members of my team. I feel that my first point of contact was not truthful to their seniors about how they managed my issues and I am speaking to other Investec clients and this particular “team’s” name has come up with at least three other Investec clients. I have left Investec and moved to another service provider as I am set on the fact that Investec does not prioritise service delivery and I do feel throughout this process of complaints that I was dismissed and also unheard.

This morning I got a hell of a surprise to find that all my money that was accessible in my mortgage was gone, after many calls, Investec were not even aware of the issue or what was wrong, they then just paid the wrong amount back to me. I needed the money to pay labourers doing alterations at my house, so I don’t know who will be liable for that. This is a major red flag and im considering moving away from them
