I placed an online order with Nando's East Rand Mall at 11h24 on 8 July 2025. I paid online with my card. The ETA for my order was 12h15, which was fine because my lunch is from 12h30 to 13h00. It is now 13h08 and I am still waiting to receive my order. When you phone the branch you get to a call center. I selected the option to track my order, but the phone kept ringing to infinity and beyond. I redialed and selected the customer complaint option. Got through to Lebati, who managed to get hold of the branch. The manager phoned me and told me that he is trying to get hold of a driver to come and collect my order. This was 12h50. I want my money back from Nando's and they can be sure that I will NEVER order from them again. The order number in question is 274/ST23515024. The service received from Nando's is pathetic.
In October 2023 we sent a bakkie to them for a full assessment. I explained to them that a warning light comes on and then the vehicle goes into limp mode and sometime cut out. I ask them to check this warning light. After about a week, I was told that we have to replace the engine, which we did in good faith. R88000.00 (excl) More than a month later we received the vehicle back and within a week of driving the vehicle we experienced the exact same problem. Warning light comes on, vehicle goes into limp mode. We sent the vehicle back and after they "tested" it by driving it around town, they told us that the vehicle never went into limp mode and that the light never came on. They requested to keep the vehicle so that the service manager can drive it to work and back to see if the warning light will come on. After another week they told us that the fuel injection pump must be replaced. Another R20027(excl) and another week in the workshop. Vehicle was returned to us and on the first long distance trip the exact same problem surfaced again. Warning light came on, vehicle went into limp mode and engine cut out. When the driver got the vehicle started, he drove it right back to Motus Ford Kempton Park. After another 2 weeks of "fault finding" they told us they checked everything, the wiring harness from front to back and they cannot find the issue. They wanted to test the fuel and wanted us to pay R1500.00 to send a fuels sample to Wear Check, which I refused. I have 15 other bakkies, all of them refuel at the same diesel depo, GP Fuels, and NONE of the other vehicles have issues, so it cannot be the fuel. One of our mechanics told them to look at the low pressure pump inside the fuel tank, the did not do that. Then the told us that the Panel Fuse Junction must be replaced as this is what is causing all the problems. Another R10800 (excl). This morning the phoned me to inform me that they took the vehicle for another test drive, after replacing fuse junction and that a WARNING light came on. The exact same warning light I told them to check in October 2023. Now they want me to spend another R2600 to replace the sensor responsible for the warning. After nearly 6 months and R115 547, now they want to replace the sensor. This is totally unacceptable. It is not just about the money, but also about having a vehicle out of service for nearly 6 months. I will never recommend anyone to use Motus Ford Kempton Park. I want them to replace this sensor free of charge and I want an explanation and apology from them.
Placed an order for our company on 27 November 2023. Received the invoice on 28 November, BUT have not received delivery of my order yet. I have been phoning the store, Makro Germiston, on Monday the 4th, Tuesday the 5th and today, the 6th of December. Every time it takes between 25 to 35 minutes BEFORE they answer the call and then they take my details and say they will investigate and call me back. NO feedback whatsoever. I've phoned the business call center as well as the customer care call center on the 5th and the 6th of December just so they can tell me they will investigate and phone me back. I've HAD it with the pathetic service from Makro. In my personal capacity I will NEVER buy from them, I wish I did not have to deal with them from a business point. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!!!
They do not even deserve 1 star. We are waiting for more than 2 weeks for a refund from them. We bought a car based upon the Dekra report supp**** by them, which stated that the car only need new tyres and the steering boot was loose. After buying the vehicle and driving home, the vehicle started to overheat and we noticed that the vehicle does not idle as it is supposed to. It turned out that the radiator cap leaked because the seal was broken and that carburettor was faulty. There are no spare parts available in SA for this carburettor and you have to import a new one. We managed to get the car home and we managed to put two new tyres on the vehicle, but we could not get the vehicle to drive. WBC agreed to take the vehicle back and give us a refund, but it is two weeks since they collected the vehicle and every time we phone they have a different story. We need our money back to buy something else. I will not recommend anyone to do business with WBC. They are quick to take your money, but their after sales service suck. They do not phone back, they do not answer e-mails. They are pathetic.
#WIN. Once again Makro disappointed me with the lack of care when fulfilling a customer order. This is now the 4th month in a row that Makro Germiston just cannot get my orders right. I phoned them, and the manager promised to phone back within 30 minutes. It's been nearly 5 hours and I'm still waiting for the call.
After my initial complaint, No-one from Customer Care phoned me, but they sent an e-mail. I still do not know if they ever spoke to the manager at Germiston. I managed to get hold of a manager at the store, and my 2nd order was delivered, BUT, they delivered the wrong doormats. I e-mailed them requesting that they send the correct items, but up to now I have had NO response from ANYBODY at Makro. Not the the Store, nor the Customer service department.
I placed 2 orders with Makro Germiston on 26 July 2021 for delivery to our business. On Thursday 29 July 2021, I sent a follow-up e-mail to the sales representative as well as the orders department, requesting a delivery date and time. Almost 5 Makro employees read my e-mail but none of them bothered to respond. I have been having the same issue with this store for the past 3 months and now I am fed up with the lack of service from Makro Germiston. Our company have been dealing with them for a number of years, but since the the second lockdown service delivery is non-existent. Is it that difficult to respond to a client's e-mail request? The Sales Rep does not even answer her cell phone, it goes directly to voicemail and, guess what, she never phones you back! I tried registering the business account on the online shopping platform 3 months ago, still haven't received confirmation that my application was received or processed. We pay our account diligently, on time, every month, but we always have to fight to get a simple order request full-filled. I am fed-up. We will be looking for another supplier.
I have been trying to increase an existing Student loan for more than a month now. I tried to login, but was told my password is incorrect. When I requested a new password, I was told it will be e-mailed to me. I am still waiting for this e-mail. I have tried almost 30 times to have my password reset, but I am not receiving any response from Standard Bank. I called the Call centre for help and was told to visit my nearest branch for assistance. My son and I went to the K90 branch in Boksburg, spent 2.5 hours at this branch, only to be told they cannot assist me with resetting my password, I must phone the call centre. No one I've been talking to at Standard Bank seem to know what they are doing. No one can assist with a student loan, the customer must apply online. How am I supposed to apply online if I cannot access the portal??? Why can't a consultant at the branch do a student loan application? I am so fed up with the lack of service from Standard bank. They do not even deserve 1 star.
