The quality of the items I received was horrible from Woolworths now now delivery. (Claremont, Cavendish branch on 8 April 2025). I ordered two Tiramisu Lattes, both of which had an unpleasant, off-putting taste and contained large, unidentifiable pieces that made the drinks difficult to consume. Additionally, despite ordering the Grande size, the quantity in each cup was noticeably less than expected—more comparable to a small. I also ordered a Chicken Chilli Sandwich, which unfortunately tasted stale and was inedible, to the point that I had to discard it. Regardless of bringing up these concerns to their branch/customer complaints. The branch manager called me, and said that it cannot be true as they double check everything before sending it out of their kitchen. Their failure to accept responsibility for their food quality is despicable and the staff definitely need to work on better customer service as well.
Saturday (26 October 2024) my partner and I went to Shift Espreso bar in Canal Walk for supper. When we entered the restaurant ,we had to stand for a while before anybody came to assist us and give us a seat. Once we were finally seated ,it took over 15 minutes for me to have to actually get up and go fetch the menu in order to place an order. (Bare in mind that all the workers are nowhere to be seen, and are mostly in the kitchen, and when they are on the floor they don't pay heed to customers.) After about another 20 minutes of waiting, I was finally able to place my order with one of the waiters ,that I literally had to call to get to me. She took our order and off she went not to be seen again. We sat for about another 45 minutes after this waiting on our food until we realised that people that came after us into the restaurant were getting their food already and we still did not received anything. I called one of the waiters and asked them to check with the lady that originally took our order, and to pur surprise the lady "forgot" to tell the kitchen to put the order through. She had no decency to even come and apologise for her error and continued to laugh about it with the man assisting us to track if our order was taken. He finally come over and told us the news ,which by that time I was so furious that I decided to just leave the establishment as quickly as possible, as I knew spending any more time in this restaurant was of no good. I am disgusted at the service we received and the lack of empathy your workers showed after letting my partner and I waste 1 hour and 10 minutes of our time waiting on *********** staff.
I am utterly disgusted with the service I have received at Le Bonheur Reptiles and Adventures Farm on the 14th October 2023 (situated in: Babylonstoren Rd Paarl, 7646) The staff members need to be retrained in dealing with customers and the company needs to reconsider/reevaluate the activities they offer if they are not able to fulfill their promises. I made a call on Wednesday the 4th of October to the farm requesting the times for crocodile cage diving. I was told that it would take place at 14:15 on the day and that I did not need to make a booking and would be able to partake in the activity when I arrive at the place. I drove for 1 hour with my partner there, and upon getting there was told a complete different story. The staff informed me that they are currently not offering the crocodile cage diving as they are still "renovating" but will be functional again in the following week. They then also stated that they will not be doing any other activities for the day ,but will only offer taking us for a tour in the snake exhibition and crocodile pond, which we did. Then come a week later (14th October 2023: Saturday) I call in again and am told the same story that the crocodile cage diving will be taking place and the other activities are fully functional as well. My partner and I drive again for an hour to the venue as we assume that everything is back to normal and the confirmation from the company would be something we can trust. When we got to the venue, we went straight to the ticket sales and the lady sitting behind the counter was extremely unprofessional. She was sitting and speaking with another woman and completely ignored us. Once she finally looked at us she asked how she can assist. We told her we came for the crocodile diving and she seemed highly agitated and stated that they are still "renovating". We then asked her if we could partake in the bass fishing or row boating- which she rudely rep**** that she is not sure if the man is still going to do it for the day. I asked her if she could find out for me and again with agitation she said that she doesn't know where the man is on the premises. I then asked her if I could wait for her to get ahold of him and she said with little acknowledgement to us, "yes". We then stood on the side and waited for over 25 minutes and this lady had not tried at all to contact or ask anyone for the guy she was talking about. We then realised that clearly we were not going to be helped and left.
I am very disappointed in the service I have received from The Capetonian Hotel and the Capetonian on the Square Restaurant (the restaurant inside the hotel) A group of friends and I decided on eating at their restaurant on Saturday- 8th April 2023 and all 5 of us got sick. The symptoms included: vomiting, runny tummies, feeling nauseous and having headaches. We were all in flat in bed for over 5 days - due to being sick which we were told could be food poisoning. A complaint was made to the hotel and the restaurant. The chef got in touch and stated that he would solve the problem out and get back to us, but no feedback or correspondence was ever made to me again. It has been 2 months now and I find it highly unprofessional. Their kitchen needs urgent scrutiny in making sure the food they serve to people are sanitary as I don't think it's fair that they are serving food that are making customers sick.
Upon arriving at Auto Pedigree (car dealership) at 9 Main road, Plumstead , I was very disappointed with the service I received. My intention was to purchase a car from the dealership. The sales representative (Mr Jaarsveld) was very unfriendly and unaccomadating. He didn't seem interested in helping me and was very abrupt in his approach. Due to his actions and and bad service, I decided to not do business with this dealership.
Vida e cafe, Caltex, Penlyn (285 Belgravia road). I arrived at 22:00 at this branch. I came in with a scarf wrapped around my face as a mask. Upon getting to the counter, the lady serving me started yelling and giving me attitude with regards to wearing a scarf around my face instead of a mask. I tried to reason with her and calm her down but instead she reacted unethically. When questioning why she allowed other customers to have their masks hanging around their necks not covering their faces whilst placing their orders she continued to ignore me. She refused to help me and started to speak to her colleague in a language not known to me ,ignoring me completely. I tried to reason with the lady, but instead she turned her back to me and put on her blender in attempt to further ignore me to disregard of what I was saying. I asked her for her name, which she refused to give me, and when asking for the manager who I thought would help resolve the situation, he ended up treating me with the same hostility. They both refused to give me their names and told me if I have a problem, I should come back the following day as they had no interest in serving me. The lady and manager had no way of dealing with customers and found it appropriate to laugh at me while speaking to them.
