I am furious about the continual failure to respond to my Eid 2026 reservation request at Capetonian on the Square Buffet. I have visited with my family on multiple occasions, and my experience this time was unacceptable. On 6 December 2025, I requested a reservation for Eid 2026. The cashier verbally assured me it would be passed to the reservations team, yet nothing materialized. I made a second request after 6 December 2026 via a written survey review detailing my intention to secure an Eid 2026 booking. Again, no one contacted me or followed up. Your internal communication failures have left me without an Eid reservation for a very important occasion, while the venue remains fully booked. This is not acceptable in hospitality. A sole reliance on verbal assurances and neglected written feedback demonstrates a lack of professionalism and customer care. What I expect: A clear, written confirmation of Eid ul Fitr 2026 availability and a confirmed booking. A formal apology for the repeated communication failures and a commitment to improve your reservation workflows, including handling written feedback with timely follow-up. Please escalate this to your reservations manager and respond with a concrete resolution.

I have been trying to get an Eid lunch buffet booking hower they are said to be fully booked. I have been doing follow up emails to Charl who has been unresponsive to my requests. Unprofessional when your queries deliberately go unnoticed.

I am very disappointed in the service I have received from The Capetonian Hotel and the Capetonian on the Square Restaurant (the restaurant inside the hotel) A group of friends and I decided on eating at their restaurant on Saturday- 8th April 2023 and all 5 of us got sick. The symptoms included: vomiting, runny tummies, feeling nauseous and having headaches. We were all in flat in bed for over 5 days - due to being sick which we were told could be food poisoning. A complaint was made to the hotel and the restaurant. The chef got in touch and stated that he would solve the problem out and get back to us, but no feedback or correspondence was ever made to me again. It has been 2 months now and I find it highly unprofessional. Their kitchen needs urgent scrutiny in making sure the food they serve to people are sanitary as I don't think it's fair that they are serving food that are making customers sick.

Horrible and very disappointed. Me and my family of 4 has been committing to come dine here for a very long time. But everytime something comes up. We came here for our 1st date and loved the variety of food dishes from seafood etc. Yesterday I did a booking to surprise her and we arrived with a great welcome. After eating our starter we said let's get some seafood,prawns etc. It was said no prawns on week days. When I called yesterday and made a booking i specifically asked if there's any limits on prawns the lady told me "It's a buffet sir, you can eat as much". No one communicated that's there's no prawns. Having eaten the calamari sterfry which was extremely strong that I cudnt even finish my plate. I'm very disappointed in the poor communication skills and I hope I get a call from management to resolve this issue.
