Based on recent customer reviews, Auto Pedigree receives sharply divided feedback. Positive experiences highlight exceptional individual salespeople and smooth purchasing processes, particularly at branches like Lephalale, Parow, and Centurion. However, a significant majority of reviewers report serious issues including vehicles sold with undisclosed accident damage, prolonged delays in receiving registration papers, unauthorized credit inquiries violating POPIA, forced addition of value-added products, poor after-sales communication, and unresolved mechanical defects. Customers frequently describe unresponsive managers and a pattern of being ignored after completing purchases.

Based on recent customer reviews, this business delivers a consistently strong customer experience anchored by outstanding agent quality and rapid communication. Customers frequently name individual consultants and praise their friendliness, patience, and professionalism. Recurring praise is given to claims and roadside assistance, though a vocal minority report frustrating delays, rejected claims, and poor transparency around premium increases.

I had a bad service with Auto Pedigress Polokwane, I took my car for petrol pump issue, the first time I got it back I got stuck within a week because apparently the wiring issue and I had to tow it back there. Now that is I got it back my towing hook is missing and I am told it was never there.

Complaining about the poor service I got from Auto pedigree. Car in question is a white Hyundai staria I bought a vehicle at Auto pedigree Polokwane the biggest mistake is that I bought the car only to seeing the pictures. The first issue I encountered was that the back bumper sensors were faulty and I reported to the sales lady by the name of Mapula and she told me the car has a warranty and I should take it to Hyundai and I did that. The report I got from Hyundai stated that the sensors were damaged because the car was involved in an accident. After hearing this I started inspecting the car thoroughly and I found a lot of dents painted in different whites, over sprays, body filler and many things that are unpleasant. I reported the matter back to the sales lady and she told me that there is no way that the car was involved in an accident but she will find out from her manager Martin Mostert, she later told me that she will book for the car at their services centre in Boksburg. On the 02nd of February 2026 I took the vehicle to the service centre and later that day I recieved a call from the service centre stating that the car is under warranty and they will take it to Hyundai Boksburg but I tried to explain to the lady that Hyundai Roodepoort already gave me the report and they will not cover it because it's not warranty related but she continued to book the car to Hyundai Boksburg and they got the same report but they insisted that they will take the car to Hyundai Kempton park. I then called the Limpopo regional manager mashudu Singo for assistance and I requested that they should give me a courtesy car while they are busy with their investigation, my second request was that they should give me another car and they can sort that one and resell it or they drop the car as they sold me a damage car. I have been calling Mashudu Singo and he never answered my calls. Yesterday the 11/02/25 he called me to inform me that the report they got from Europe cars shows that the car had a Scratch on the rear side and he will give me the courtesy car while they are busy with their investigations. The car was bought for business and now it's been almost 2 weeks that I am loosing business. Today the 12/02/26 Mashudu called to inform me that I can go to Auto pedigree Randburg to collect the car and my question to him was, is it a rental and or the car in question and he never rep****. When I arrived in Randburg I waited for an hour for the car to arrive and when the car arrived was in a poorer state than before. I got good assistance from the Branch manager Vusi he tried calling Martin then Martin requested pictures and he said this was above his pay grade it should be escalated to Mashudu. We called Mashudu Singo and he never answered any of our calls. I left the car there and I am asking assistance from the senior management. Come month end I must pay instalment of the car while is not performing its duties. Can I get another car and I can move on with my life.

I am writing this email with extreme frustration, disappointment, and deep regret for ever engaging with Auto Pedigree. What I experienced during this transaction is, without exaggeration, the worst service and most unprofessional conduct I have encountered in the motor industry. I was in the process of purchasing a 2021 Toyota Hilux from Ms/Mrs Khunjulwa Mabuza at your Middelburg branch. During negotiations, I was explicitly informed that she would negotiate the vehicle price on my behalf. Once approval was granted, I was shocked to discover that VAPS had been added to the contract, effectively eliminating the very discount that had supposedly been negotiated. When I queried this, I was informed by Ms/Mrs Mabuza that the VAPS had been added to secure her commission and that she would not remove them. This is not only ********* but raises serious concerns about your sales practices. As a customer, I am entitled to choose whether or not I want VAPS — they cannot be imposed to inflate staff commissions. As a result, I cancelled the transaction. Thereafter, Head Office contacted me to understand the reason for the cancellation. I appreciated this outreach and explained the situation in full. I clearly stated that I would be willing to proceed with the purchase if the VAPS were removed. What followed next was entirely unacceptable. Ms/Mrs Khunjulwa Mabuza subsequently called me and verbally abused me, swore at me, insulted me personally, and went as far as stating that my business would fail, that I would collapse financially, and that she wished nothing but failure upon me. This behaviour is shocking, disgraceful, and completely incompatible with any professional or ethical standard. For clarity and investigation purposes: • Ms/Mrs Khunjulwa Mabuza called me at 17:08 on 15 January 2026 from 013 244 1795 • A Head Office representative contacted me earlier that day at 16:52 from 011 230 9100 My finance approvals were as follows: • MFC Reference: 524964836 • WesBank Reference: 85407660045 I am struggling to understand how: 1. VAPS can be added after approval without my consent 2. Staff can openly admit that VAPS are added purely to earn commission 3. An employee feels entitled to abuse, insult, and intimidate a client I request urgent intervention from Auto Pedigree management. I genuinely like the vehicle, but this experience has been unbearable and has left me questioning the integrity of your organisation. I deliberately waited until I was calm before lodging this complaint. Had I written this last week, the language would have been far stronger. The restraint shown in this email is out of respect for Auto Pedigree as a brand — respect that, unfortunately, was not extended to me. This matter requires a full investigation and immediate corrective action. I expect a senior representative to contact me directly to resolve this. I will await your call. So i did an application in Oct to see what i would qualify for at Auto Pedigree in N1 City, the deal they had to offer was going to over indebt me and i cancelled the application. 2months later i receive a notice from Kynsa with a picture of the vehicle indicating that i have 2 fines to pay which occurred 13th Dec 25 Mind you i never owned a car neither paid for a car. I called the traffic department in Capetown and gave them the Number plate and they told me apparrantly this vehicle was in my name for 2months. I called auto pedigree spoke to Robert Hector (manager) and Byron Jonkers (salesman) and it was said it ill be resolved and reverted to the current owner. To date nothing i mailed the complaints team yesterday. Hannes Steenkamp responded via email and advised i can speak to Trisha Botha. Now no one has gotten back to me this is 1stly infringement of the POPI Act i did not give permission for my personal details to be exploited and neither owned that vehicle (for x2 months WOW)! Not only is this ******* and wrong they are going to negatively impact when i have to renew my license and im a new license owner, have it for nearly 2 years this year april. This is wrong i want this resolved ASAP!

I purchased a vehicle from Auto Pedree Acornhoek Branch on November 19, 2025. However, as of 23rd December 2025, I have still not received the necessary vehicle papers, which has caused a significant inconvenience. I’m planning a family vacation across the border, but I am stuck because I cannot cross without the required documentation. I have made multiple attempts to contact Auto Pedree, but either no one picks up the phone, or when they do, they simply promise to get back to me – which they never do. They mentioned that they are waiting for an external service provider to deliver the documents to MFC, but when I checked with MFC, they have no record of any vehicle papers. When I purchased the car, I was promised exceptional service and that all paperwork would be handled smoothly. Yet, now that I’m in urgent need of these papers, I am left with nothing but frustration. I am entitled to these documents, and the lack of response from Auto Pedree is unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed by this experience and the lack of professionalism. I hope this issue can be resolved quickly so I can enjoy my vacation without further delay.
