It’s been 3 months now since I logged a complaint with Standard Bank, and the issue is still not resolved. I’ve followed up multiple times with no progress or clear feedback. Absolutely disgusted with Standard Bank’s service. A simple issue with a failed debit order has turned into a nightmare. They logged case number 52475983, promised it would be resolved – and then did nothing. For two months now, I’ve had to make manual payments, and thanks to their incompetence, my credit score has been negatively affected. No feedback, no urgency, just silence. I’ve been moved from one department to another, and no one takes accountability. This is not how a bank should treat its clients. I expected better. Sort this out and fix my credit profile!
I have an advanced account with Standard Bank South Africa that I have been paying diligently every month. However, since last month, the debit order suddenly stopped going through without any explanation from the bank. I immediately contacted Standard Bank and was moved from pillar to post. I tried calling multiple departments, and each time I was told something different — with no resolution. Eventually, I was forced to make a manual payment to avoid falling behind on my loan. They promised me this issue would be resolved before the next debit cycle. Yet, here we are — this month again, the same thing happened. I called again, and once again, nobody can assist me. All I get are empty assurances and no accountability. Meanwhile, I’m the one who’s made to look like the defaulting client, and I’m expected to run after them every month just to pay my loan. This is completely unacceptable, and it’s causing unnecessary stress and frustration. I expect Standard Bank to take this matter seriously, fix the debit order permanently, and ensure that my account is not penalised for their system or administrative failures.
I recently made a purchase at BestDrive in Braamfontein and was charged an additional 10% just for using PayJustNow. I was under the impression that your service fees are meant to be covered by the merchant and not passed on to the customer. Can you please confirm whether this is allowed? I had a very disappointing experience at BestDrive Braamfontein. Firstly, they charged an extra 10% simply because I used PayJustNow — a fee that’s supposed to be covered by the business, not passed on to customers. @PayJustNow, please confirm: Are merchants allowed to charge customers extra for using your service? This feels like an exploitative practice. Secondly, after fitting the tyres, they did a rushed wheel alignment in under 5 minutes. From then on, my car was shaking all the way — clearly a poor job. To make matters worse, the consultant who assisted me, Mark, was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the process. This is not the kind of service anyone should have to deal with.
I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with the car dealership "We Buy Cars." From the outset, their customer care and after-sale process have been abysmal. I purchased a car that was supposedly in excellent condition, boasting a platinum sticker. However, within an hour of taking delivery, the clutch malfunctioned, leaving me stranded and infuriated. I immediately returned the car, hoping for a prompt resolution. It's now been two weeks since I raised multiple complaints, yet I have received absolutely no feedback. The lack of communication and responsibility from "We Buy Cars" is astonishing. This ordeal has caused me immense inconvenience and frustration. I strongly advise against doing business with this dealership due to their utter disregard for customer satisfaction and after-sales service.
