My wife brought her car in for service on the 2nd of January because of an idiot petrol attendant who didn't replace the cap when she was filling up on engine oil. SMG charged her for diagnostics and servicing the vehicle. One of their service staff then advised her that they had picked up another service requirement which was not related to the initial issue that the car was brought in for. We told him not to repair/replace whatever that was because we didn't have the kind of money they quoted us for. It turned out that they did that anyway and expected us to pay. I told them to remove whatever was installed and paid only for the initial repairs. My wife took the car home only to find out that the engine is now overheating. She reported this and was told she needs to tow the car to the dealership at her own cost so they can diagnose the issue(at a cost). We have been trying to escalate the matter with the service manager since the beginning of the month and we are repeatedly told he is unavailable. I do not recommend anyone take their vehicle to those ****** at SMG Umhlanga!!!
Terrible service from SMG Umhlanga. I took my car in for service because of a petrol attendant who didn't replace the oil cap on the engine. They charged me for that and told me the vehicle needed some other service which was unrelated to what I had brought the vehicle in for. I told them not to do any other repairs as I didn't have money for that at the time. They did it any way and charged me more than R20 000. I told them again that I didn't have that kind of money. They then decided to remove whatever parts they had installed. I took the back only to find out that the engine was overheating. They are now telling me it's normal wear and tear and I need to pay for it to be fixed. I have tried several times to get in touch with management only to be told that the manager is unavailable. This has been the case since the 1st of January this year. Horrible and *****ed customer service from SMG Umhlanga!
Most likely the worst customer service contact center in the country. I requested for an insurance to be cancelled from my package 2 months ago but I'm still being billed for it. Last month 24/08/2023 I spoke to an agent who assured me that this was cancelled but as to be expected from this mediocre company, It is NOT cancelled. It's no wonder why people keep looking for alternatives to DSTV. It's absolutely appalling service!
I placed an order to NetFlorist for my wedding anniversary from my Mobicred account a few days ago but I didn't get an order number or any confirmation that the order went through except from Mobicred. I then sent an email to NetFlorist and they responded by saying I should send a proof of payment which I did. They called a day later and said that the payment had been located. I was then asked if I wanted a refund or a voucher and I said they must send me a voucher. I checked my emails and found a R100 voucher had been allocated to my profile. Obviously I was under the impression that the voucher would be for the same amount that I purchased for initially which was R809 so I can place the order again. Two days later, no order, no order number or refund. Their call center is absolutely worthless. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MERCHANT TO ANYONE.
The self service option is terrible. I made a payment for our subscription that is under my wife's name only to find out that apparently it went to another account under my name. How that happened is beyond me because it clearly stated before I made the payment that the account was my wife's. Now, we have been trying to get this thing sorted with their call center and the incompetence is on a league of it's own. I still have no service and my money has not been returned even though they can clearly see the payment was made albeit to another account.
I ordered a clothing item from this store and when I got my order it had clearly been worn several times before. THE BODY ODOUR WAS HORRIBLE! Then they sent some insolent, incompetent and very unpleasant man to collect the item. I am so disappointed at their disregard for client service.
